SonicLamb If Kirby and the Crystal Shards involved multiplayer, i could ALMOST see it being a valid ability that you would want to use sometimes. But, the fact that it is next to impossible to do damage with it without hurting yourself and you don't have someone fighting alongside you to protect you and do the fighting for you makes it just impossible to do anything. At best, you could get the ability real quick, heal, then get rid of it. But, then whatever you got rid of to get the fridge might have been really good and a combination you won't be able to get again for a really long time.

parasol is also powerful, and csn block most attacks. 2nd only to mirror defensively.

Fridge is infinite healing and attack to me that is overpowered also recent parosols can throw stars at bosses which is powerful

I don't think it does that anymore to be honest.

"Because it is dumb" 10, 9, 7, 5, 4 Legitimate reasons for picking it as a bad powerup 8, 6, 3, 2, 1 The Fridge power may not be powerful, but it does allow you to last a LOT longer since you can regain health with it. For the Swiss Army Knife power, you completely ignored the fact that it is still exactly like the needle power and based your choice solely on appearance. Even when you did state that it's just like the needle but bigger. The Parasol power is far from being useless. Aside from the various attacks you can do with it, it will also protect you from anything that comes falling from above. May I also add that Kirby cannot attack with his power if he has inhaled air? Yeah, the parasol will make up for that. The Yo-Yo isn't good? It has the most versatile reach of almost any power, being able to hit an area in front of you, above you or below you with a standard attack. On top of that, it has a powerful special attack and can even grab enemies and projectiles to throw them at opponents. Out of all the powers, I actually feel that Yo-Yo is one of the best when you know how to use it. So, from what I saw about the Lightbulb power, it a gradually expanding field of damage with a self-centered explosion at the end. I don't see what's so wrong about it... Sure, it might be difficult to hit enemies before the explosion, but it wouldn't be very far from the Plasma ability in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. About the Melting power, how difficult is it to hit an enemy? You say you have to get lucky, but that does not grant any insight as to why you have to be lucky. Anyway, when half of your choices are purely aesthetic or preference of use, I don't really think the list is a good one. Heck, I would be fine if you admitted you are bad with the power, but you don't even do that. On top of that, you kind of forgot about the whole copy ability you can get by inhaling a certain enemy that will allow you to get a copy ability from an enemy without inhaling it. Yeah....

There is no such thing as a "Bad Kirby ability" they each have utility in some way or or another. For example, Jet may not be the best combat ability, but moves like Hi-Jump, Wheel, and JET are used for speed and mobility, which aids immensely in speedruns. Even sleep has utility in Squeak Squad, for the unlockable benefit of regenerating health at a moment's notice. Also, I don't find the Refrigerator combonation to be all that bad, because you essentially gain the ability to create health items indefinitely, which can help in a pinch.

Like everyone else is saying, half of this list is wrong. For Fridge, you do damage AND you heal yourself. You're fully protected when you use the Double Needle attack. Parasol is one of the best weapons to go through stages fast and killing bosses. What you said isn't the point of the jet, it's used to speed through levels while eliminating anything in your way. I don't see any footage of Yo-yo being bad. On the Broom segment, please don't tell people what they should and shouldn't be playing in a countdown. The rest of the list makes sense.

I feel like you cant say anything about the sleep ability. Its MEANT to be bad. In super star, its actually used as an obstacle. Not to mention in Kirby Squeak Squad, if the Sleep Ability Scroll is collected, he will regenerate while sleeping.

He also completely neglected the fact that you can store the Jet's charge to deal added damage while moving vertically, or to fire a burst while moving horizontally. It may be more difficult to use than others, but it is far from being a bad ability.

Copy allows u to get crash from scarfy, something that can’t be done normally. Copy also allows u to get a mini boss’s power before u defeat it. Also in Super Star Ultra it is useful to player 2 and can give u a CPU operated Tac, one of the best helpers ever.

Sorry, you completely lost me at Yo-yo. Seriously, some of these abilities are highly useful, decently powerful and/or very versatile (and in Light Bulb's case, helpful to solve at least one puzzle), you just pick them because they "look stupid", or, in Jet's case, clearly never read up on the moveset or experimented with it. Heck, Jet can even one-shot DynaBlade.

***** Yeah, it's easier to do on the DS version; but what you do is, charge up the jet, then when DynaBlade lands, let loose (holding forward as you do) to grab the star emitted as she lands. The loop will hit her once on the upswing, once on the dive, and the ejected star will finish the job. 3-hits, 100% damage.

So shouldn't needle be rated on this list because it's weaker? Oh, nope, because silly=bad in your eyes. Parasol-This is possibly one of the BEST Kirby abilities, while it's no stone or hammer, Parasol provides defense from above along with many options for attack, including insanely powerful throws (at least in SS and SSU). Jet-While a more difficult power to use, I just have to say, get good. Jet is an all around decent ability. It provides amazing mobility through stages and in SS and SSU can OHKO some bosses with it's throw. Yo-yo-This is an all offence ability. It has more complex moves that often, while more situational in their use, will reward a knowledgeable play for their efforts. Lightbulb-Not only is this a really fun power to use, but it makes you immune to contact damage while using it. Also, Bomb+Ice is very similar, yet you didn't mention it. Long story short, the title of "Top 10 WORST Kirby Abilities" is a horrible title. It's more like "10 Kirby Abilities that I can't play or I think look stupid." That was a joke. In all seriousness though, you should have named it "My 10 Least Favorite Kirby Abilities" or "10 Kirby Abilities I think are Stupid." P.S. Sorry for only referancing SS and SSU. They are the games I'm most familiar with.

Yoyo is supposed to be pure offense. It has good range, comes out quick and does decent damage.

+nintendolife25 In Superstar and Superstar Ultra, there is multiplayer where you basically give away your ability by spawning your friend, who gets the ability. There, copy is undeniably the best in the game since it makes the friend into TAC, basically another Kirby, except it's much cooler.

Things wrong with this video 1. If fridge is more useful then swiss army knife, why are you ok the the SAK? (Swiss Army Knife) 2. Parasol can also block certain projectiles and enemies above you. 3. You can charge the jet and hold it for later. If you are going to far you can cancel the ride by pressing the button. 4. Yoyo is useful for many things like range and attack damage 5. The light bulb deals damage while you are shining. AND you can release the button earlier to explode.

SonicTurboTurtle both yoyo and parasol are great for fighting, they are among the best multihit abilities either he doesnt know how to actually use abilities in general or simply he didnt like the design, besides, missinformation, parasol doesnt allow Kirby to fall slowly, it allows for better horizontal movement with less work

My favorite would have to be wheel kirby. It's just so much fun to speedrun a course at a very fast pace bashing everything in your way. Kinda like the invincibility lollipop, but you go faster and it lasts until you get hit or something.

Oh my God I really hate you right now. There is nothing wrong with Parasol and Yo-yo. In fact, I think that Parasol and Yo-yo are on the same level as the sword ability.

I wouldn’t say parasol is better than sword because the small move set and it’s kind of slower but parasol is by no means bad

They need to bring back merging copy abilities like in Kirby 64 for the next Kirby game... Awesome mechanic!

the flame, and I think even the steam, does stuff. But you should probably know that in real life, ice and fire doesn't really mix either. it's a reasonable result for a combination, effective or not. It isn't really any different from any of the other dozens of powerups that require you to throw yourself at the enemy to get any use out of it.

Even Sleep got some usefulness in Squeak Squad since one of the unlockables allows it to replenish health.

Also in Kirby Squeak Squad once you find the scroll for it, Sleep replenishes health

Anyone Know which kirby game is at 3:41 ish, it was a game i played when i was young and i cant remember which one it is.

The parasol doesn't suck The swiss army knife doesn't suck The ball form doesn't suck The jet doesn't suck The yo-yo doesn't suck Apparently, he only judges by his skill with them, and the way they look. If you're good at kirby, you should have no problem using the parasol/jet/yo-yo's advanced attacks. The ball can be used to wreck enemies in small corridors, and kill slow/immobile enemies. The swiss army knife, is bigger, and does more damage than the normal spike ability.

Ball isn't great. It's good for enemies, but when you fight bosses, you can't actually hit them with ball without taking damage.

The yo-yo is a really good power 💥

The yoyo and parasol were two of my favorite abilities in Kirby Super Star. The Yoyo was the weapon I used to beat the final boss of the game. And the parasol was cool because it protects you from almost any attack from above, and it makes a versatile shield. And when you swing it, the spray of water damages enemies. Even the backswing from that attack will damage enemies behind you.

Am I the only one that thinks Copy Kirby should have been on the list.

Including Jet in the list is an "Oops!" Charge the Jet, and jump when charged. This gives you one of two powerful options. I prefer to carry a star off the screen to hit my opponent for three hammer-flips of damage! You can also create a shockwave by hitting the attack button right before colliding with the enemy. This ability is a boss buster!

I love hovering in the air with Jet and how the power boost stored will give Kirby an explosive jump which is excellent for damaging enemies attacking from above while escaping at the same time. Plus the Jet Armor mode of Planet Robobot is extremely fun to use and gave me the Kirby dressed as a jet fighter pilot look I’ve wanted since Kirby Super Star came out on the SNES.

6:30 It's usless, yes, but in one game that now I can't remember that ability makes you recover health, so... yep! In that game it WAS useful.

The yo-yo and the parasol are my favourites abilities. In kirby super star they have the best gameplay, they are very useful and is very soft her movements.

the parasol ability is a lot more useful then that . I used to think it was pretty useless too but the parasol can deflect anything that hits it (from the right angle ) . I remember when i got to the levels where there were two minibosses in nightmare in dreamland, there were times i could just let kirby stay directly in the center and do nothing and the bosses would run unto the parasol and take themselves out

i watched a video of kirby bosses getting absolutely decimated in seconds with the ball ability so i think it's one of the best and you can't stop me.

Yo yo was best in Superstar Ultra - tell me I’m wrong! It has an attack up, down, and forward, and a SUPER good dash attack!

Nintendo should make the sleep ability useful by making it heal you up but you can't move for a while, kind of like rest in Pokemon

The Sleep ability only serve as an obstacle in the game, except in Squeak Squad.

In triple deluxe parasol is awesome. I can walk without fear of what might fall on me. It breaks fucking balls of lava falling from the sky just by default. Also in triple deluxe, sleep lets you recover all ur health.

No, no, a thousand times no. Sleep Kirby does not restore health in Triple Deluxe. (If it did, the True Arena would be too easy.) The only game it ever heals you in is Squeak Squad/Mouse Attack.

I tested it. It heals me every 5-7 times. So either it is a glitch from the download or my game is just odd. I tested it for a good hour.

Oh come on. I love the Swiss-army knife nico!

Parasol is awesome, Immunity from raining projectiles and a long ranged thrust.

Fridge Kirby never really caught on to me... BUT the ability I found most useful in Kirby 64, is the Rock + Electric combination (Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the names of the powers in that game...)!

The names are pretty much just what you do or what you look like. Like fridge Kirby turns into a fridge to attack so it's called Fridge Kirby. That one I don't know what to call but you get a rock that bounces around with Electricity connecting it to you.

Luigi Dreamer Shockrock (That's what I am going to call it.) was my most favorite ability in that game. You get to sit back while the Shockrock do all the work. It's like having an ally with you. xD

Parasol's really good with it being usable underwater and can protect you from enemies coming from above such as those bomb enemies that drop down on you

My worst abilities 10. Metal, it really hinders your movement 9. Hi Jump Kirby, you can only jump in one direction in two of the games it appeared in 8. Ball, it's pretty uncontrollable and you can easily fall into pits 7. Lightningrod from Kirby 64, it's pretty useless 6. Copy, it's only useful in milky way wishes 5. Light, it's only useful in that level where you can already see in the dark 4. Sleep, useful because it restores health in squeak squad 3. The ice/fire combination, this goes without saying 2. Clean Kirby, it's basically useless 1. Mini Kirby, you can't even attack!

10. A moveable stone, as long as you aren't against a boss, you are good to go 9. It's a fast movement for vertical spaces only, in case you don't notice, the only places that has the Hi jump enemies are all that 8. I can't defend this thing as I cannot find anything that can help it be seen as a good ability.... 7. an instant of invincibility and the ability to attack anything that's vertically above the ground you are standing on, it's useful if you master it 6. It's actually just like normal Kirby but better, you can attack anytime and still copy anything you can copy 5. Like Hi-Jump, it's a gimmick for the area 4. not in any other games though, I find that in almost any games I played, mixing two sleeps results in a crash 3. A close range skill-test 2. It's a level gimmick..... 1. It is made for travel, not battle

Parasol and Yo-Yo are good abilities. Parasol even got buffed to Fighter level in KTD. Also you're just basing some of these on appearance..

Parasol and Yo-Yo really both are awesome powers

sleep was used really well in robobot as an obstacles in forced scrolling levels

This is one terrible list.

I'm surprised the Skating ability from Crystal Shards wasn't included.

Fridge- Do damage AND free healing? Why is this bad?? Parasol- Well, that is not all parasols do. Enemies can't fall on your head, you can break through blocks above you, which you can't do as normal Kirby, you can use it underwater, and you can actually attack enemies and bosses Jet- Okay, really? That IS the whole point of jet, to kill all enemies in front of you in a straight line. Plus in doing so you are invincible for a few seconds Yo-Yo- Yo-Yos were not entertaining toys cause they were originally weapons. Really, they were kinda like flails fused with nunchucks. And please, it is a good power. You can attack with it from all angles, which makes it a perfect all around device. AND LOOK! Do you even see your own footage! He kinda did pretty good, wouldn't you say? Well, the sleep power is MEANT to be annoying. I mean, how else are you suppose to upset gamers and make puzzles for Kirby out of power?

I really like the Swiss Army knife type or ability if we go to noise killing me as I walked in the make and I did very measured for enemy deaths by using that a lot more than the other power ups are so use the other power ups as much as I want

At least "Sleep" is one of the cutest ability.

+LightWolfGamer Sleep is also a good ability, especially in Squeak Squad where you can replenish about 1/8th of your health. But everywhere else, yeah it's useless.

Nico: But at least Kirby can do some cool tricks and hurt enemies, but that's about it. He says it like its the only power that can do tricks and hurt enemies.

Fridge: You can heal AND damage enemies, I say it's pretty fucking useful. Swiss Army Knife: Considering the smaller Needle ability isn't on here, this makes no sense. Ball: Bouncing is the best thing man. Parasol: Actually pretty good in combat, especially the grab. Jet: Jet is the BEST ability in Superstar! Yo-yo: Nice range. I can't argue with the Top 4.

Yo-Yo is my fav power in KSS, I love the diversity of the moves and just how quick and awesome they work :c

not to mention the cool cap,and the fact that you used yo-yo to defeat king dedede (yes,you,nicobbq) also,yo-yo is actually an earthbound reference.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. I'm pretty sure you needed some kind of expansion for the N64 to play it, though.

10) Unlimited free healing? YES PLZ. Probably one of Kirby's BEST abilities. 9) Needle is one of Kirby's most useless abilities, period. 8) I think the developers realized just how sucky the Ball ability was when they made Kirby: Canvas Curse. ` 7) Parasol was GODLY in many of the earlier Kirby games, when damage wasn't scaled, meaning just touching the umbrella did the same amount of damage as a great flaming FIREBIRD. 6) In total agreement with you there. Jet looks cool, but isn't very useful. 5) That break-dancing spin attack was pretty useful, IMHO. 4) It was more useful for revealing hidden secrets. 3) Broom wasn't very good on its own...but when combined with Chu-Chu.... 2) Yeah, that's pretty lame. 1) Anyone who knows anything about Kirby saw this one coming a hundred miles away.

The fridge ability actually helped my brother beat the first boss! It's a good ability!

Parasol, Yo-yo, and Fridge probably don't belong here. I'm rather amazed you didnt include Stone, considering it literally only works on things below you or on slopes. As for Ball, it's actually a super powerful ability once you figure out how to control the crazy thing.

well actually stone is great, especially in some of the harder boss fights. Your basically industructable when you turn into stone so you don't have to avoid as much of the dangerous things bosses can fling or unleash on you, and you can smash enemies pretty well.
