The marketing was part of what made it suffer. All they talked about was “the new controller” instead of mentioning it was a new console. They had it going with the concept, but it started to nosedive later on

@@lordroy88 Yes and add the fact of joycon drift and the Nintendo Switch avoids a lot of criticism. Not that joycon drift isn't criticized, just that it rarely influences people's review of the console as a whole, which it should

I guess Im an old soul at the age 29 but I like how Nintendo kept it simple without to much internet involvement. Especially all the constant updates my other consoles need for me to play a new game. Just put the game in and play.

Except for Splatoon, all of these games have a 3DS version now

I actually enjoyed Splatoon 1 way more than 2

I mean I got my Wii U for Christmas so I didn’t have to worry about spending money but I really got a lot of good times out of it. Even though 3D World and SMB U were repeats I still got a good time out of them. Splatoon and Mario Maker were also super cool because they were something we’d never had before.

Nathaniel Bandy: Super Mario Maker is a game that is never going to end. Me in 2021: uhh. . .

Splatoon will forever be the game that owns my heart.

Hell yeah, splatoon is the best game on the Wii U.

I really like pikmin 3, but I never got the Wii U, but since it’s being transferred to the switch I’ll finally be able to play it. There’s something so charming about the pikmin franchise that I just can’t find in any other game.

How could you not include Bayonetta? This game has constant action, compelling characters, a great art style, and it has the balls to be different. I'm so glad I DON'T have to fish, mix food, cook food, complete boring side quests, talk to villagers, or wait around at a specific day and time for a monster that never shows up (so I could obtain a new ability). For me, it's like I'm playing the same games over and over again.

Pikmin 3 is my absolute favourite game of all time. I've played the first pikmin game, and although I haven't played the second, the third is incredible. It's not one of those one and done things, either- you can play many times over too see all the details you overlooked. It's cute, incredibly creative, engaging, and a gorgeous graphic style. I love the game so much that I made a clay Toady Bloister and it sits on my shelf to remind me of the game.

This is definitely 1 of the best 2016 Nathaniel bandy top 10s because it’s purely opinion and has good reasons and stuff. I just didn’t like the plugs but the placements (while I don’t fully agree with them) are really good and well thought

Splatoon was always my favorite Nintendo game I was so hyped when they announced Splatoon would be in Super smash bros ultimate Let’s hope for Octoling echo fighters

I respect your opinion and I definitely agree with most of the list, especially with the number 1 and the conclusion behind it...but man, it desperately needs more Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. You really need to play it. Fantastic game.

My favorite Wii U game is Mario Kart 8.

im sad by the fact that they stopped making wii u's. it sucks to see a wonderful console go out of stock.

He really should play the game. It is basically if New Super Mario Bros. U wasn't rushed, and had a creative gameplay element in virtually every level. It is hard, yet it is never unfair or repetitive. It is just plain fun. My only complain is that the 2-player could have been better, and also, I felt like there was never a reason to specifically choose Diddy Kong from a Kong Barrel, because the other two kings are so much more useful.

Yeah donkey Kong was infinitely better then Mario u

Tropical freeze was an amazing game for the wii u, I play it on the switch and I have so much fun with it
