To add random wire color to every object you don't need a special script. Just copy this line of code in the lower left pink area of max window (aka the MaxScript Listener) for obj in objects do (obj.wirecolor = color (random 0 255) (random 0 255) (random 0 255)) Save the space on your toolbar for more useful buttons.

even simpler :) for obj in objects do (obj.wirecolor = (random black white))

If you want to attach in bulk, just isolate everything and attach via the list, it'll only show what's isolated.

I found "Pivot Tools" really helpful and I'd really like to add it to my program but I can't find it anywhere not even in scriptspot, do you have a link or accurate keywords to look for it? Thanks in advance.

when using Scatter you can't adjust the transform manually ! (Unless you using iToo Forest in Paint Mode or Custom Edit)

@@obaidalotfi9952 You can. The "Edit Instances" button in Scattering section of Command Pannel layout for Scatter objects does exactly that. You can't manually decide which instance from the list gets placed where on generation event, though...

1.pivot tools is in "soulburn script", 2. you actually don't need an icon for that lol, just give it a name

@@ArchVizArtist there is another built-in Measure Distance , in Tools Menu/Measure Distance (can't be used with snap) . Search "Measure Distance-Extend"

Instead of attach object script you can use collapse function in utility tools.

Hello how arw you doing. I want to know i have core2dua with 2gb graphic card wmand 8gb ram does it will sufficient for normal renderings like House exterior and interior room render. You must be curious about my this question but i am waiting for you mr kind reply.

you can render. it will just take a long time. In Layman terms, rendering depends on number of cores. more cores in your processor, more buckets in rendering, faster completion. RAM matters for handling size of the scene(hi poly geometry),textures etc. heavier scene/more geometry means you will run out of RAM during rendering(depending on your rendering resolution). you can use 3DS Max on your machine, do everything. it will be slower to render depending on your scene,texture resolution,render resolution. or it might just crash if memory is not enough. try to upgrade RAM to max. it will be usefull to have a bit more legroom in polycount. and learn to optimise your scene and modelling to reduce polycount. use textures smartly. high res for nearby objects, low res for far away objects, proxies and much more.

There are video tutorials as well, so you can add other stuff and adjust if something's not working. Most of the things work well, but you have to change the path for copy and past script as the names of the folders are different.

after i installed copy and paste script this message appear to me when i try to copy any thing "unable to create temporary scene file c : users /admin/documents/3dsmax/scene assets/past file.maxsv$ ...... any sollution ?

open script with script editor and ctrl A then drag and drop on to the toolbar, then you can change its name later

It should, it's basically saving the file and merging it to another scene.

I think many of these are helpful for sure, but you're completely ignoring the easy ways you can already measure one thing for an example with the measure tool over in utilities tab, or the collapse tool in the same tab, instead of attach ;-)

Collapse tool is totally different thing, measure works different as well...

Perfect nine scripts, but for the fourth, it's the "Tape Measure" tool in 3ds Max. The script doesnt bring anything. Maybe the fact it does not create an "object", but this can be deleted easily.

if you want to see an objects dimensions then just click the wrench in the top right and click on measure. no need for scripts

@@ArchVizArtist If you're mentioning and recommending scripts, people expect to find them in the description, not have to go find them and figure out how to make 20+ year old scripts work in newer versions. You can see a lot of people asking for the script download links in this very comment section because of this. Would it have been so hard to include download links? Not even the ones you actually added work anymore.

Thank god i left 3ds max and transitioned to Maya .. Max is still the worst 3d program I have ever used
