Wonderful! Thank you, this is not a video, it's a resource! Yes, many of us after having enjoyed collecting for decades take protecting other collectors and the hobby itself as a top priority!!!
These types of videos are very helpful. I knew about the fake 1909 S VBD Lincoln Cents, but the way you described it and provided examples was very well done.

When I started collecting 3 years now, my 1st buying of a Gold coin was a 1914, 5 dollar incused, coin. It turned out to be a counterfeit. I believe I'm jinxed with gold coins. 👍😁😎

Awesome!
I enjoy your very educational videos. However, and given what I know about coin grading, I do not believe that most of these details were spotted with a 10X magnifier. Am I correct?

Some of the more obvious tooling marks could be seen with a good loupe, and of course good lighting. But yes, you'll likely need better magnification than that for the better quality fakes. But just with grading it isn't just one thing seen in isolation but rather in combination with other factors. It comes with experience, you'll spot something is "off" with your pocket loupe and then take it to the scope to confirm your suspicion.

There are bits and pieces of information all over the place. Every now and then you'll run across another piece of the puzzle. The secret service even investigated the case - but largely to no avail.
A while ago I spotted a fake clad Ike dollar on a flea market... I was so intrigued I decided to pick it up. Seriously, why would anyone fake these?

Hi Numismatic news can I ask would you no much about a 1946 united states one dime and how can I tell if it is wort much thanks
@worldnumismaticnews
4 жыл бұрын
Well the '46 Roosevelt Dime is noteworthy for being the first year of issue for the series. However, the mintage was considerable at over 250 million coins. So unfortunately it really isn't worth that much, but on the up side at least it is still a silver coin.
I had no idea that 1914 Indians where being faked. Mines Slabbed NGC bought from Ampex several years ago. I'll keep it

It's the frequency with which they are seen that is far more alarming. Most don't think to check 20th century copper coins for authenticity.
Hey I never did figure out your email. The one you gave me would never send. It kept saying it wasn't able to send to it. I don't know? But anyways have a good one man

That is weird. try this one instead : admin@ worldnumismaticnews. com - just take out the spaces. I can't see anything wrong with the email at this end, but it makes me wonder if other people are having the same issue.
I own some old coins and want to sell them. Can you help me? I live in the Kurdistan region of Iraq
