Why would they be here? Sure, eva is an emotional grinder for pretty much anyone involved, but... (spoilers ahead) - shinji is son of the world's mastermind and a literal god, lives with the best tutor ever, saves the day a bunch of times, gets a pretty comfortable life (other than being mistreated by his father) and ends up literally choosing the world's fate. - asuka has a pretty messed up past, including running away father, suicidal mom and all that stuff, but she's got all the natural perks (brains, looks, talent, opportunities,..), has a lotta important stuff and spotlight all for her, and was ultimately the one to make shinji end it all, then save him - and the world. If someone's the unlucky fuck in eva, I'd point to Fuyutsuki (fell in love with Yui Ikari and ended up working for her husband and babysitting her son) or Touji Suzuhara (wanted nothing to do with this fucked up world, saw his sister crushed in an eva fight, had to agree to become a pilot just to try to save his sister, got mangled before he could even pilot once and was never heard of again)

One I would say is probably Naegi from Danganronpa. I mean, he's supposed to be the worlds luckiest student, but turns out he had to go to a school where everyone had to murder each other. He also got framed for murder and almost executed himself. Another one is Koichi from Another. Like seriously. He ends up transferring into a cursed class that gotten his mom killed cuz his aunt was in the class when he was born,before he even transferred his lungs collapsed, he witnessed almost every single death, and it ended up his aunt was the "extra" and ended up killing her. Or causing her second death, that is.

People come up with the categories on their site. Members then add the their own nominees and across the Top 10's lifetime people can add and vote for nominees as they please. Once the list is popular enough the staff then decides to make a video and will rearrange the nominees so that there's a good enough variety and it's not heavy with nominees which in this case might result in multiple characters from the same show. Not sure if that question was a joke or serious (it takes a skilled eye, which I only have some of the time, to spot sarcasm on YT comments). If a joke don't mind this, if serious hope this helps. =)

I'm guessing Yuuko won on quantity of small misfortunes. (But yeah, no where near as horrible.) For Usop, I guess the beatings, constantly knowing he's too weak, being a negative person, having his 'treasure' destroyed, and being teamed up with a bunch of lunatics. That said, Guts is __Strong__. As absolutely horrible as his life has been, he's been able to face it head on except on two or so occasions. (Definitely should beat Yuuko and Usopp, but I don't know about some of the others as they are unlucky AND helpless.)

What, how did Ataru Moroboshi from Urusei Yatsura only get an honorable mention? He's so unlucky he was literally used like an "unluck magnet" to draw out all the bad luck spirits that were haunting the school nurse! And that was one of the least bizarre unlucky things to happen to him!

Pedro from Excel Saga and the kids from Grave of the Fireflies were the first ones that I thought of.

I like how it just stayed on Yamcha in the intro.

I like how the rest of the list is so sad but then there's number two 😂 And... Keiichi, Rena, Mion, Shion, Satoshi, Satoko, Rika and Hanyuu from Higurashi? curses, friends going insane, and torture again and agai and again and again.

Ugly Laugh It should be only Rika and Hanyuu since Keiichi and others don't remember anything. And Satoko should be here too because her life is really terrible.

I think guts and kouta should've been higher on the list. Also, what about Krillian from DBZ. He gets his ass kicked quite a bit throughout the whole series, dies about as much as Goku does, and he's there for the whole ride too.

neville nathanael, Ehhhhh weakest? I'd say like 2nd weakest maybe even third he's definitely stronger than tsunade and possibly 3rd hokage, maybe even on par with tobirama, I mean I get he lost his sharingan but that means diddly squat, just means he can't use lightning cutter, kamui and susanoo (he's slower too yeah but give the man a break) but we see later on in the series that he developed new jutsu to counter that.

I'm a bit surprised Seina Yamada form Tenchi Muyo GXP didn't make this list. Seen every episode and he's never able to fully avoid a mishap. Whether it be public or private.

one that should be on the list for sure is seina yamada I think it is spelled from tenchi muyo gxp. that has to be big in there because his bad luck is the premise for the entire show practically

Krillin is not unlucky. In a world where everyone is OP, he is the strongest human, he's been revived so many times its unfair, he got a hella hot android wife, and he has a lovely daughter. He doesn't seem unlucky to me.

It was said he would have won but the Manga author didn't wanted to continue the series if there was demand to continue it if he beat Near. that's why he made Mikami screw up in the most stupid way in the end. the Anime being on going at the time put a lot of pressure on him which explains why the series felt rushed after L dies not fleshing out the new characters.

I mean, even though he was in a Killing Game, he still made it through the game without even being killed, so that's not really unlucky. Nagito would be a better candidate, but when it's a life or death situation, he usually has a lot of luck.

8:10 that was a really awesome scene in tokyo ghoul, also unravel is one of the best anime songs ever

Maybe Vash from Trigun should be on this list. He always finds himself in the worst situations which has caused his body to be completely scarred and minus one arm.

Don't forget that Gut's girlfriend got raped in front of him by his best friend that turned into a demon and was pinned down by monsters, one of the monsters also had claws and pierced his eye as he watched and later on he found out his girlfriend was pregnant and his child turned into a demon cause of the rape act. C'mon, anime, top that one.

ryoga would top that one. but he is also pretty damn unlucky. falling into the spring of drowned pig. has almost been eaten like 5 times. prepaired to be eaten countless times. boiled alive. his identity has been almost revieled to the one he loves over and over. he cant go out itn eh rain wthout being turned into a pig and he gets wet.. like all the time. i can say he is pretty damn unlucky

For Touma from a certain magical index/railgun he had bad luck since he was born and people called him the plague so his father tried using magic to give him something to be happy about aka imagine breaker but it did not cancel out his bad luck

italianpasta259 Nagito always ends up with good luck. Even if it looks like bad luck at first he always gets a greater good luck. He always obtains anything he wants or need thanks to his good luck. You just have to see how his plan went perfect without doing nothing in Danganronpa 3 Zetsubou-hen.

what about Fuu from Samurai Champloo? she just wants to find the samurai but she has to drag around Mugen and Jin as deadweight who constantly want to fight each other XD

How are Jessie, James, and Meowth not on this list? They're so unlucky, they've had to team up with Ash and his friends on occasion
