    thanks for practical tips, I'm definitely doing the sullage hose. And the wind mode awning is something we've been doing for a while, works well. re the rattle gun on the stabiliser legs I just use the crank handle seriously its 4 or 5 turns.

    Hi guys loved your video, using levelling ramps in our travels over the last 4 years, when you have quick over night stay, when the parking is not level, and the car and van are facing down hill, so we put the ramps under the back of the car, and drove up onto the ramps. All good the wife is happy

    Grate tips guys. I really liked the water flow restriction tap on the water pump outflow piping. Here are a couple of my tricks - I put a solenoid activated open valve system on the outflow pipe on my 40 gallon sewage holding tank. Then if you need to empty the tank you can remotely electronically activate the open valve switch from the driver's seat and empty the tank as you drive up the highway. I learned this trick while travelling in SE Asia. It can also be a bit of fun to empty the tank if someone is tailgating you. A couple of solid lumps bouncing up onto their windscreen will slow them down quickly as the wipers smear the brown matter across the windscreen blocking their forward views. And cleaning the windscreen would not be fun for these Rocket Robins at the next Gax Station. Buses in SE Asia use this method for dumping their holding tanks. And I have seen what happens when you run over a sloppy buffalo dump on the road and spray it onto the windscreen of the car following you. My other tip is about levelling platforms for your caravan wheels. Just find a nearby tree and chainsaw it down. You can then cut the tree trunk to size - a customised leveller and it is free. Dont make my mistake however - make sure your caravan is parked well away from the tree you are cutting down. And never operate a chainsaw and chop down a tree while intoxicated. It isn't fun having to put a blue poly tarp over the roof of your caravan. Some simple yet effective caravanning tips. Cheers Brian. Remember: if the girls don't find you helpful, they will at least find you handy.

    Haha LOVE THIS - you win best comment of the year. P.S. great tips 😆😆 Ray usually sits on the branch he's cutting in order to see it better.

    Love it, never thought about sitting on the tree branch and cutting it off. Good one. That is a really good tip by Ray about the adjustable flow restrictor tap. As you know, I have boats (Yachts etc). Apart from having a water maker, water usage is critical on boats. Shower tip on small boats - 1. Get wet. 2. Soap up. 3. Rinse the soap suds off. End Result: That is a full shower on a boat. Don't laugh, but sometimes I take 25 minute showers on the boat - I really waste the water. Cheers Brian.

    I always wanted to put one of those digital scrolling signs on the back of the van saying "dumping toilet waste in 10 . . 9 . . 8 . . 7 . . . " but actually dumping it is a dangerous and lunatic act. What's your real name, Russel Coight ?

  • @cyrenacyrena3041

    @cyrenacyrena3041

    9 ай бұрын

    @@steeevo0136 No, my name isnot Russell - I have never been coight dumping on the highway. Sorry, I meant "never been caught". But I like the idea of a digital sign at the back of the caravan - it gives people following the chance to pull over and get out of the road. Also, another trick is to dump when going around a blind corner - that way people following don't realise a dump has been done or who did the dump. Many happy dumps to you and may they be "wet and sloppy". Cheers
