Very interesting fact, he was actually born and raised in West Philadelphia and he spent most of his days on a playground shooting hoops.

I met Will Smith when he was filming MIB 3 I told him that my favorite movie of his was The Pursuit Of Happiness And I remember him happily going “that was with my son!” We also took a pic together Although it is a very poor looking picture due to the bad camera quality It will always hold a special place in my heart

That's an incredible story! When I saw that his $100m run ended with 7 pounds I was shocked, that was an excellent movie. I don't know if I really have a favorite will smith movie but 7 pounds has to be up there along with the pursuit of happiness. He just makes really good movies and is a loveable character in all of them.

FYI: since he had zero acting experience, he memorized the script for every fresh prince episode for season 1. Go back watch will when other actors are speaking. You can see him mouthing their lines.

On “Inside the Actor’s Studio,” John Lipton questioned Smith about his tendency to be a “grammar nazi,” and Smith explained that his mother was an English teacher and instilled that characteristic in him with her quips. He said, for example, if someone said to her, “Where your kids at?” she’d respond, “Well, hopefully, they’re behind that preposition.” Made me laugh.

Has he been nominated? I have heard a lot of mumblings about black actors not winning oscar's for movies they are nominated in, but when I watch moviephile youtube video's there are great actors and being nominated in it's self can be a highlight. If he wasn't nominated for the pursuit of happiness or 7 pounds I'd be shocked. *edit: I just googled it and he hasn't been nominated, and I guess I kind of get it, all of his characters are obviously still Will Smith when you analyze it and he's more pop or main stream. But that doesn't mean he isn't a stand out actor of the likes that I have a section on my DVD rack dedicated to his movies.

It’s a lot of rumblings that “King Richard” will be hopefully his first ever win 🙏🏾.

I met Will Smith once and he was very kind and on top of that I knew about all 10 things

Having gone to his Chicago book tour show, I became aware of most of these facts prior to this video...great event and book!

I always loved Wil Smith. His a great actor and rapper.

Bro I've been saying the same thing... The pandemic caused so many entertainers to start podcasts and KZread channels, and now it feels like these people have too much exposure.

Anytime I hear about anything negative about him and his family I just roll my eyes, because it just reminds me how low key and chill they really are. I mean when you break down any of the negativity that you hear about him or them it’s petty (considering what happens with other high profile celebrity families) , because they don’t deal with anything that the average family doesn’t deal with (aside from them being rich lol). In the end no matter who you are or what you do people are going to find something negative or positive to talk about.
