A few commenters have already mentioned it, complete at least one training session with a team leader every day. If you have space in the item bag, you get free stardust, a stone or rare candy. It'll help with the ace trainer medal and free stuff. Yes, you do need space even to get dust otherwise no free rewards. I put my walking buddy in the third slot of those training sessions to easily earn buddy hearts.

4:30 We can open 30 gifts per day. It used to be 20 but they changed at the beginning of the pandemic. And it become the new daily limit after the friends' list went from 200 to 400 or when they announced some permanent changes, I don't recall the right moment.

We can only open 20 gifts a day right now.

4:49 100 is the maximum number of gifts you can receive from spinning stops, but you can also save up to 20 gifts in your inventory from the previous day, and your buddy Pokémon will also bring you up to 5 gifts at some point during the day, making a total of 125 gifts that a trainer can send on a single day.

I did not know you got a daily spawn the first time you open the game. I knew a Pokémon was always there, but I didn’t realize that was there for that reason. Learn something new every time I watch your videos man. Thanks for all you do!

Hey Nick, you overlooked checking your infinite incubator to make sure you are always hatching an egg before you go out. Also with the buddy, you should do training - easy 3 hearts for your buddy.

@@TechDragon1 If you go to the bottom of Battle menu you see training. If you include your buddy as first in the party, you can start the training Battle then exit anytime after the battle has started. You get instant heart and no need to revive. Really good since you can do this anytime.

The daily spawn will actually stay in that spot for the entire day also. Even if you walk away come back five hours later it’ll still be there

I’m really glad you’re motivated to mass produce videos again.

The daily catch was very helpful in keeping my streak alive when I visited my brother in February. There was no pokestops nearby and we got hit with a silver thaw (everything was covered in ice) and it was too dangerous to walk anywhere.

I would add one more: Train. The first time you complete training, you get at least 300 stardust for free, plus you make progress on the Ace Trainer badge. I train 3 times daily with my buddy, thus earning the 3 hearts, and I'll hit platinum in the next couple weeks. Then I'll probably drop to once a day for the free dust, since I'm already best buddies.

You only make progress if you win the trainer battle. You do not need to finish the battle to get the heart to progress your best buddy.

@@vemerjag - maybe it is his 200th best buddy. With all the ‘free’ poffins it isn’t that difficult to get there reasonably quickly per Pokémon. I managed to get there quite some time ago, up to 279 now.

Great video! very informative and an easy enough check list. The only other thing I might add (because I'm working towards the platinum, and saving item bag space) is to give berries to your mons in the gyms.

I like to collect hearts for at least 3 buddies every day. Most players don't know that if your buddy is on the map, you can go into a training battle (buddy has to be in your party) and immediately quit, which will give you a heart for battling with your buddy. Also if you swap your buddy and then swap back to it you'll be able to feed it another berry, and get an additional heart.

I've found at times, it doesn't register when battling the team trainers, but I use the same tactic when battling team rocket. Starts battle, hit, quit and then go back in

Totally solid advice, if anyone is new this is all the basics you need to get you going!

Great clip Nick! I always enjoy watching them. One item that yields a lot of stardust and can take very little effort is battle with a friend 3x daily. One has a dive team (all CP 10s) and another has their fav mon. You can be done in 2 min. The friend can be anywhere in the world, just initiate the battle via the battle stadium just below their rank progress bar. A battle counts toward an interaction with that friend as well, so it is a chance to go lucky with them. I am looking forward to your future clips

I keep saying to people of my community that would be a lot easy to remember to do all these if the game would have some "daily quests" thing, like those Summoners War and alikes. But the video is really good, glad someone is interested in making such content

That is by far the hardest thing. I feel if I get rid of them at the end of the day it's so much easier. I have an attachment to the ones I caught when I started almost one year ago. I don't know what is good to save and what is truly trash even with poke genie. Any advice for a fellow trainer? I currently have maxed out storage and can always only catch like 8 mon's 🤣 Oh the anxiety...

@@jodiblunt4830 I usually keep any Pokemon I catch that's 3 stars or higher, and replace an older Pokemon with the new better one. For especially old Pokemon, I do keep those for lucky trades if people are interested. Personally, I also keep all of my shinies, I've never transferred one. I do lots of gym battles to get coins and buy storage. Hope that helps!

Every now and then I spend a couple of minutes to "organize": transfer some pokemon from previous catches, tag some favorites, save some to evolve for later if needed, tag the ones I would like to trade. Erase unwanted items from the backpack, delete old players/inactives from friend list. Ah is so relaxing, my house is a mess but my PoGo is ✨️perfection✨️👌 🤣

It's easy to go through your Megas by making a custom mega tag. That way you can see mega 1,2, &3 without making a long search string.

I just started up PoGo for the first time since 2016 and didn't know these things - I managed to get a 3 star Ylvetal and 3 star shiny Kyogre from GBL - I had no idea they were important pokemons to have either... GBL is great.

This was a very helpful video. There were several things I didn’t think of to do with my daily tasks. I just got to level 39 during Go Fest and I am really excited to push through to level 40! What do you think about The levels in the game, meaning do you think that Niantic will ever expand past level 50? I know there are a lot of level 50 players and l wonder if they want additional levels to work toward or they enjoy being at the top level.

@@rafaelrojas2954 yea all the other filler content is there to try to lower odds, wish they removed the filler like I don't even care for most of the mons provided I just want litwick, and machamps, if you really want though, rank 2,000+ has axew and rank 2,500+ has noibat encounters.

@@patrickdonovan2323 Most of these Pokémon you can catch either in the wild in their base forms, or in raids. Machamp for example you can catch as a Machop in the wild. Pvp doesn't guarantee a legendary at all. Once when Lugia was out, I managed to get the encounter 5 times per day the whole time Lugia was out. Not once did I get Lugia. But when Mesprit was out, all I got was Mesprit. I'm not even joking here. Lugia, the Pokémon I wanted, I got nothing, but Mesprit, the one I didn't want, I got in every single encounter. I sense some unfair favoritism towards certain legendary Pokémon in pvp.

Hey Nick! Love the videos, just wanted to add since you didn't mention it here: if you find the process of sending/opening gifts to be too tedious, you can speed up the process by quickly tapping the X after pressing "open" or "send" on gifts. It does come with the drawback of not knowing which items you're receiving and not getting the pop up alerting you of friend level increases but you can just look at the friend meter and check out your inventory afterwards pretty easily. I find these slight drawbacks to be well worth the time I'm saving by using this method. Hope this helps somebody!

I'll also suggest taking advantage of the filters "giftable" and "interactable." These filters will show you everyone you can send a gift to and those you haven't interacted with today. I find it much easier to go through a list of say 20 friends who haven't opened your gift than 200. I'd also recommend nicknaming them appropriately. For example, I prioritize opening best friend gifts for only local friends since I can't trade with international ones. I nickname any international best friend with a "/" and then I can use "!/" (! means not) within my friends list search to filter these friends from my list.

Nick you are the best

When I've got a buddy, each day I power them up one level. Typically by the time they're my best buddie, they're close to max. It feels like they're growing with me. I also switch buddies as soon as I max out the hearts each day, so I can have two or three increasing in friendship. Another thing I do each day when I start playing, is I check for injured or unconscious pokies, so I can get the whole team up and running.

Thank you! I didn’t know about mega levels so I’d been hoarding my Mega energy. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I pretty do most of these every day apart from the GO Battle League & Trading.

My daily tasks include swiping a stop, catching a Pokemon and completing a research task. That’s pretty much it and its only due to habit.

Go has come a long way. As a player with no local friends, I can do everything except trade. Maybe one day they will introduce a daily long distance trade, would be nice :')

Become your own best friend...i.e. create a 2nd account to trade with. If you make the 2nd account a different team you can use it to get your main character's defender out of a gym if it is stuck there for several days.

@@mom2artists Well, of course... goes without saying. 😉 OTOH, Niantic would lose about 80% of their revenue from this game if they were strict about it. Almost everyone I know who plays has multiple accounts, including one who has six...and they spend money. Real cash for PokeCoins. Niantic has made some dumb moves in the past but I don't think they are so dumb that they would cut off a sizeable revenue flow.

One thing about the Go Rocket leaders is that if you have space you’ll get a 12 km egg which has hard to find Pokemon like Sandile,Salandit, and Deino.

I've actually started to automate these tasks. Theres this great app called OP autoclicker that you can program sequences of Button pressen with. I've already automating giftopening, meltan boxes and trading with plans to automate losing GBL matches for stardust too

I just started playing again recently, but I found out that the community centre that’d like a minute away from me has 2 gyms and like 6 poke stops lol. So when I go for my daily walk (have to lose weight for surgery) I just go for that loop lol

I think you left out the trainer battles (not GBL, but Blanche, Candela and Spark) I think there’s a badge you can earn for Training

Perhaps another one could be using your infinity/free incubator each day ish. Trying to hatch an egg a day, if possible to get out and about.
