Back To December is simply the best song that Taylor has ever written. It's one of the only songs by her, if not the only one, where she admits her faults in the relationship whole-heartedly without blaming the other party. It was Taylor at her most mature and her most poignant which is why it should have been number one. I actually didn't know it was written about Taylor Lautner until now. Dear John is a good song and I get that it specifically references her ex but it was still not as well written and executed as Back To December was. Saying all of this, I Knew You Were Trouble was my jam and deserved its spot at number 2 even though its basically the complete opposite of why I love Back To December. But it is extremely catchy and about a popular celebrity.

People say that pops stars should write there own songs. Taylor does that and she gets nothing but shit for it. Do people not get song writing is usually not calculated like that. It's a form of therapy. It's about pain pouring out. Taylor is in her 20s, so like most people romance is one of the biggest things in her life.

Taylor Swift, I think, is amazing. because she wrote all of these songs herself, so she uses her experiences to help her to write them. You can't hate on her for that. You cant write a good song without using your personal experiences to help influence them. I should know because I tried to write songs but they turned out like crap. Don't diss Taylor for writing about her exes, because she DOESN'T just write about them. Some, like Mean and Long Live, aren't about exes. Mean is about a producer of music that told her that she couldn't sing, and Long Live is about her fans. I am a massive fan of hers and she is amazing to me

She grew up. And all singers usually have people work with them. It doesn't mean they don't have input. She was a young teen back then. You can not expect her to stand still.

I love Taylor's break up songs. They have catchy tunes and tasteful and coherent lyrics. She is a good story teller.

I love Begin Again. It's about a short, childhood-like romance. It seems very innocent, and I think she needed that.

I can't help but say that there is so much shade in this video!! Taylor is a talented artist and it isn't not about the ex that rises you to the top of the charts but the experiance and crying into your pillow at night hardship that made these songs phenomenal.

'All Too Well' and 'State of Grace' are my all time favorite TS songs about EXs. And i think 'I knew you were trouble' was about John. He was a notorious player and heart-breaker before they got together and she should have known it would end badly. Plus the bad boy looks in the music video fit him perfectly than Harry who looks like a pre-teen.

I really love all of her songs, she wrote from her own experiences and she sang from her heart, that’s beautiful.
