I have two statements. #1 I’m glad the fact that you did recognize that other countries do have cheerleaders. The weird thing I think is that (at least) Korean baseball has cheerleaders, and as far as I know American baseball doesn’t. #2 That other countries use the relegation/promotion system. I think in some sports (like hockey and especially soccer) it would be good and interesting.

For #9 I get that the tradition started as a joke, though nowadays I think it would be more fitting to dunk Gatorade on the quarterback or the team member who scored the winning point. Dunking Gatorade on the person who won the game is like a refreshing breeze from an exhilarating challenge.

You lot should try Promotion/Relegation. In american sport teams can intentionaly lose games if the can't reach the playoffs just to get higher draft picks wich loses the competitveness to the league. While when you have promotion/relegation you need too win games just to stay in the division.

One thing that surprised me about tale-gating, some or most tale-gates don’t even go to the game. The only college football game I’ve been to is my LSU tigers playing EMU. Fans come out to be part of the LSU community, drink, have a good time, and eat but apparently it was a waste of time going to the game to watch our team kick the crap out of a smaller school. They just watch the game from outside the stadium. I was thinking why tale-gate right outside the stadium and not even go to the game ? I guess it’s common. It was my first and only college game live so it was exciting for me but it was just another small school to beat by 20+ points for them.

Tailgating technically has its roots all the way back in the Roman Empire. Except instead of bread and wine it is burgers, hotdogs, sausages, and beer. Hat-trick is Canadian, not the states. it is debated which city (Toronto, Montreal, or Guelph). Originally it was the promise of a free hat to anyone who could accomplish such. Like tailgating it is not the same as what we do now, but the concept and idea were of smaller scale back then and were taken to larger proportions as time went on.

#ProRelForUSA needs to happen in soccer. Same with promotion and relegation in Canada. Going hand-in-hand with pro/rel is that teams in such a system practically never move. There are exceptions to this (Wimbledon FC to MK Dons), but this happens entirely too much in American sports for exactly the wrong reasons. This is exactly why St. Louis sued the NFL over their team leaving (for no good reason and based entirely on lies) and settled for $790 million.
