For sure, I don’t know if you followed the Young Justice animated series, but in their season 4 Atlantean saga , Mera was the true hero , so much so that Arthur who had retired from being a superhero, decided to become Aquaman again & name Mera as Monarch of the Seas…Plus never underestimate a Redhead 😎 I hope you’re going through these comments because part 2 is about to drop 🖖🏾

Winter Soldier didn't hold off Iron Man and Captain America at the same time, he allied with Steve to fight Tony Stark... or at least in the image from the fight you're showing to explain this. Was there a fight where Captain America and Iron Man teamed up against Winter Soldier in the film that I didn't think about ?

Yup, she got this way wrong. They teamed up against Iron Man, not the other way around. That was Black Widow and Cap.

I would consider Shadowcat/Kitty Pride to be too tier alpha level, if I remember correctly she phased a giant metal bullet shaped object entirely through earth , despite having to be saved by Magneto afterwords, but I think it shows just how strong she is. Just my take on it though, and may be a little biased since Kitty is one of my favorite X-Men

Kate is one of the best X-Men around, hands down. And yes, she did phase an entire GIANT metal bullet through earth. But was unable to phase out of it, alas. So she did need some help there.

I think you could make an argument for the Cuckoos. They fall in a grey area between students/clones/sidekicks, but of all the mutants I think they fit the bill the best

Didn't Kitty Pryde have access to magic spells and a pet dragon at one point? Not sure if that takes her into the Omega zone. But it would make her more powerful.

I don't remember exactly where I read it at, but Kate "Kitty" Pride was at one point a Beta tier Mutant but has in the recent past been bumped up to a high Alpha/borderline Omega level mutant.

🤔 Amazing 🤩 Amanda, I think you might be stretching it a little on who you are considering sidekicks ( Storm, Rogue, Kate) & the time when their powers abilities are superior to their mentors , are far past their time of being a sidekick ( Bucky, Garth, Wally) … now you could say Tim Drake was superior with computers, or Dick a better acrobat, Wasp a more willing Hero & superior leader…ect …Oh & Tempest HUFFLEPUFF lol…Staying Nerdy ,Keep Up The Great Work Amanda 🖖🏾

This is a very interesting and clever idea for a list. Well done Top 10. I initially wouldn’t consider X-men members, a favorite team of mine, to be listed as sidekicks but it’s plausible those that are listed here.

@@VampX13 Yes sidekickery moments is a great way to put it but I love the way you tailored it to mentorship makes a lot of sense for the X-men. It’s a unique “superhero” team where there are commonly young people with abilities, around seasoned team members, who need guidance. As usual Amanda you know your stuff.

Don’t underestimate Ororo Munroe/Storm, one of the most powerful mutant characters on Earth.

Don't forget that Wolverine has heightened senses, means that he feels pain more/worse than the average person (touch is a sense).

I often wonder where the measurements are taken for Gambit. His ability to charge latent objects with explosive kinetic energy is atomic manipulation after all. Wasn't he listed as an Omega or beyond Omega at some point similar to Bobby Drake as Iceman?

For John Kent I personally think it would be cool if its revealed that Lois posses a recessive Meta gene that she passed to him and his half alien physiology caused it to be active and that's why he's more powerful

It's been stated for Logan, depending on the continuity... his healing factor heals over bad memories and such, which would lead to memory loss

I think the reason people would argue that Jon will never be as strong or more powerful than Klerk is because Jon is only half kriptonan and also both get their powers from the sun and Klerk has had more exposure and for a lot longer time than his son so how could he be more powerful he could be a better hero but not a stronger one.

I've often found myself wanting the Disney folks to launch Mutants into the MCU with storm and exavier in Africa vs the shadow king. And have them film it a bit like a modern day horror flick. But I would totally be down to see storm and gambit basically launch the mutants too. I think we just need a different approach with the X-Men in general. And with Orono being young and her powers being super weak, or Exavier in a normal wheelchair, and even gambit playing his abilities off as parlor tricks would be a very low key entry that allowed for better buildup.

Kate Pryde will always be my favourite hero of all time. She is way more powerful than people give her credit for, and I really want a movie where she is THE main character

I think wolverines pain threshold is extremely high and he feels less with more damages, and as years passes. In normal humans repeated damages hurt less, eg. in paint ball, the first shot u get hurts tremendously, then any subsequent shots after doesnt hurt as much. Even with getting pricked by thorns, they hurt less the more u are pierced.

I never really got why Jon Kent is more powerful than superman. Superman is full blooded kryptonian, meanwhile Jon is only half kryptonian.

Pretty much everyone since the Marvel Mutants moved the majority of their population to Krakoa & She became Captain Kate , the leader of the New Marauders 🖖🏾

It is what Clark has over overcome the example of his feats far exceed Jon, in a fight there is not a lot of ground for Jon to win over Clark. This debate trickles over into Manga with Goku and Gohan, the son can't reasonably in narrative surpass his father.

I can debate about Jon not being more powerful than Clark. Jon has some great feats, especially in Dark Crisis, but he's still not Clark-level. He might become more powerful, of course. But just because Batman said so doesn't mean it's true. In Superman/Batman: The Supergirl (2004) by Jeph Loeb, Batman said that Supergirl might be more powerful than Superman. In Supergirl (2005), also written by Jeph Loeb, it was proven that Batman was wrong. Batman doesn't know everything, so just because he says something doesn't mean it's true. And even if DC itself would say "Jon is more powerful than Clark" I still wouldn't believe it without any proof (some good feats). Because if you say something, but in your stories, you show the opposite, I'll trust the stories. Wally West is a great example. DC doesn't just tell you that he's the fastest; it shows you. Since the late 1990s, there have been a lot of feats and statements to prove that Wally is indeed the fastest.

Wouldn’t Jon Kent being half human effect his powers Kal-El came from a red sun to our yellow sun It was that fact that made him super man The yellow sun changed him into what we know today. Jon was born here, so the yellow sun wouldn’t have the same result as Kal. Our sun shouldn’t have any affect on him as I see it Taking in the fact he has Kryptonian DNA I just don’t see him having powers since being a product of a yellow sun Ok he is the Son of Lois & Clark Inheritance of Superman powers yes but they wouldn’t be as strong as the sun won’t have the same effect as is does with Kal You can argue the point saying that is a ability he inherited But I don’t see it His birth here negates the red sun changing him And yellow sun should just work like it does with all humans Either sun burn or a super tan
