Jerboa is hugely important on SE. Its a weather companion that will tell you what time of weather is coming depending on it’s actions.... weather that is a HUGE part of the SE map and greatly affects survival . It’s easily in the top 5 of importance on this map

"direwolf doesn't have a saddle so it's not going to be on the list" WARNING: RANT ALERT I would say the lack of a saddle is more of a benefit, at least in the early game, because it means as soon as you have a bola, a good tranquilizer, and a can-do attitude you can tame and use one. You also don't have to spend ludicrous amounts of extra resources every time it dies. On the stats side of things, they do excellent damage for their size, and are faster than almost anything you will find in the desert. I know they come in packs and therefore are hard to tame, but we're talking about scorched earth here, and on this particular map wolves often roam alone. In my opinion at least they are one of the best mounts in the game. wolf vs rex? yeah, the rex can win in 1v1, but the direwolf can be miles away before it finishes roaring at it. wolf vs anky? who am i kidding that's not a fight that's just murder. murder and glorious keratin. wolf vs raptor? outrun and outfight, no competition. I have watched wild packs of wolves kill mammoths. wolf vs argy? yep. wolf vs daeodon? yep. It can kill all these and more, not to mention being the usaine bolt of the desert, making literally every fight i just mentioned perfectly avoidable if you don't feel like it today. Oh and did i mention they're cute? because they're cute. It is literally EVERYTHING you could possibly want in a mount except some special gimmicks so don't you DARE stand here and tell me that wolves don't even deserve a spot with a bird, a cat, and a camel.

Daedons are awesome carnivore mounts! They can heal your other dinos, they deal a lot of damage, they can take a lot of hits, they can harvest bushes pretty well especially the wood bushes and its a fast runner. I have one and he is super amazing and strong.

I got so hyped when you included the rock golden and Wyverns because today I tamed both of those. And I’m saving up to tame another rock golem

Actually there was 11 dinos added in scorch which you can tame. Fire, poison and lightning wyvern. Jerboa Lymantria Mantis Morrelatops Rock elemental Phoenix Thornydragon Vulture

@@LeoTheYuty they nerfed speed, is a pain to travel with argi, and for some weird reason you cant repair items in it if you use it as a smithy, besides is perfect for combat and as a mule

I just started using the vultures to hold all my spoiled meat, since they not only eat it but have that spoil timer extension. Plus, if you collect all the spoiled meat off your Dinos/feeding troughs, all you have to do is hit "transfer all" to the vultures and it filters all that SM off you without having to single out the item. So useful to have some of these in your base (plus they are good at defending against flying predators that try to lift your lystros or dung beetles. Thanks for this!

If you’re playing pvp on scorched and starting out just get some pteras with mutton from rag in highlands and use them to get wyverns asap.

Hey CJ, just an idea but I think a dinosaur review series could be good where you pick a dinosaur from the comments of a video and review all the positives and negatives about the Dino, whether it is worth the tame and your overall rating of the Dino, just an idea for some content

Flame is not percentage damage enless it is with the dragon boss ALL other flame effects have a flat amount of damage they will do, some dinos just have a resistance to it and some dinos it's more effective to

I can't believe my scorched earth playthrough is so broken. It took me from lvl 30-70 to finish building my Adobe house. Sand is so damn hard to get bruh. Even with a Doedicurus. My only tames were a Parasaur, Terror Bird, Lystro and Anky and around 6 raptors. I couldn't tame a Morellatops because the ones near me are all in packs for some reason. So what did that lead me to? Taming a Rex. Bruh 💀

I feel like the thorny dragon should be included because it's a very good wood farmer in the beginning. Furthermore I think the Phoenix doesn't belong on the list 'cause it's a huge pain in the backside to tame and not that useful. P.S. The Argy can't carry Kapros.

@@notorioussoul6943 you are right but my terms of thinking was only on scorched earth so you wouldn't be able to get a giga on scorched earth (without transfering) so the Phoenix would be the only counter to rock elementals if you are only using stuff that you can get on scorched

At least for stating out I wouldn't underestimate how valuable a Jerboa is especially when detecting sandstorms and heat waves. I also really like Ankys on that map when paired with an Argy merely for quick transport. Yes I know it can't auto harvest like a Doedic, but in addition to metal and special stones it gathers a decent amount of thatch and cactus sap simultaneously with the tail swipe and usually doesn't load up all the berry junk in the swing unless it glitches which makes it great at getting two ingredients you need for your adobe structures. I would put the Thorny Dragon on the list just because I like being able to gather up all the wood without having to pull berries in my inventory, but SE has a chainsaw so I guess it isn't truly needed. As for creatures to "bring" to SE if you can transfer I recommend, Frogs and Owls. If you pump your frogs melee enough it can instantly kill a jug bug and you can gather a good amount of paste and would be your best source of paste until you get a chemistry bench. Owls just because an imprinted Owl can outrun a wyvern and also heal you if you have enough time to get yourself some distance after being hit by a poison wyvern provided you have enough health to survive a breath attack. Also if you manage to get enough health and melee you can circle attack a Wyvern while taking less hits than you are being dealt and kill them if need be. So they are the perfect egg grabbers and also have a hitbox equivalent to Pteronodon so they are just great a kiting them for your milk traps.

So even though the Christmas event is done certain dino’s who were painted in Christmas colors are still around. Is that what I’m noticing?

Sarah Slowley cause you can cheat them in with admin commands, but that’s the only way cause you’re actually using cheat codes when you spawn in something

Hey CJ :) another cool video! I mostly agree. I would however not rank the phoenix in the 1st place but rather the wyvern as you can get it rel. easy compared to the phoenix, it does more damage, it flies faster and it can pick up other dinos. Keep 'em coming! Cheers m8

I haven’t played in years, the official servers are toxic af. My first argy tame was with some help from some cool players, gave me kibble and a mount, max tame with 2k attack and 3k weight. I miss my argy...

Why did my mantis with normal swords did like fifteen hundred damage

You know... The jerboa which literally tells you when storms come (some which litterally make it so you can't shoot at all or have turrets online) is way worse than a vulture which literally has no use

@@wolfenx3686 that it harvests bodies while on your shoulder, or that you can store meat in it which is not as good as having it in a fridge. Vulture is legit outclassed by every dinosaur you can get day 1, while jerboas are useful throughout the whole game

What sucks is they made A lot of the old maps less unique, Scorched Earth only has the Pheonix that is unique, aberration that I know of only has the Rock Drake that is Unique tame, Reaper King use to be unique till gen 2 came out, and extinction only has the Gacha which im not even completely sure if its only on that map, managarmr use to be unique till gen 2 came out, same with velonasour, oh and the other unique creature in extinction is the robot dinosaur thing that teleports.

It’s something to do with the rate at which dinosaurs reproduce in your settings, it’s a genetic thing usually so just wait and eventually your wild dinos might get some funky colors

I hate that the only unique dino on scorched earth is the fenix, wild card screw the dlc, the only thing appealing about the dlc maps are the exclusive dinosaurs, the lack of them makes this map not worth the buy
