I’ve been scared of some logos as a kid but not Universal, Paramount, and Warner Bros I used to like seeing them. But the MGM logo did scared me as a kid. I would always have nightmare about the lion roaring at me, and then he would stop and slowly turn his head at me and says “You’re about to die!” And makes a evil laugh and eats my head off. But now I’m not scared of it anymore. I’m autistic and I have probably the weirdest interests about logos, I just love them! I’m 12 and people of my age would always talk about: Fortnite and shit I’m not interested in. Every time I want to talk about my interest about logos they would be confused or bored.

The scariest logo in my childhood was the THX deep note (not the digitally mastered version) Back when I used to live in my old house, I was going to watch revenge of the sith because my dad bought the DVD when they first released. After I pressed play and the menu did it's transition, it was nothing but darkness. And then... *It happened...* There were white words saying "The science of sensation". After the words faded away, I heard the deep note rise. The THX logo appeared and the deep note stopped rising, But the loud sound kept going until the end of the intro. *I couldn't sleep for days....*

My first experience with the THX deep note went a little something like this: I was 2 years old and my nana had just brought me a copy of Dinosaur,my mom put it in the VCR in my room and after the previews were over...**it happened** I heard the loudest noise I ever heard in my life and this horrid blue glowing rectangle was on screen, inside the rectangle were the words **the following program has been modified from its original version. It has been formatted to fit your screen** then I saw it **THX** certified I've hated THX ever since

I'm not scared of the THX logo because it's just a logo for remastering sound and picture and even doing sound for games and on Dell PC's that THX used to put their certified logo on there

Finally someone else who was scared of the Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo! I used to have nightmares about that logo and the Disney DVD logo (along with the MGM and 20th Century Fox logos). Most of these went away when I got older but the WDHE logo still startles me sometimes to this day. I used to skip the logo when it came on until I was 17. I recognize now that it is a cool logo, but even thinking about it gives me bad flashbacks.

Ha at my Elementary school when it was raining and we had to watch a movie in the cafeteria, when the mgm logo came on and we the lion roar everyone would start yelling, it was hilarious Also I feel like the thx logo should had been at number one, it was my worst nightmare from when I was younger, I remember covering my ears hard and hiding behind were I was sitting at and waiting till it was over, but it kept getting louder and louder and louder till your ears bleed. It’s rare for someone like Roxie to see this a charming logo as a nightmare-inducing logo...

Am I the only one who was scared of the “Distributed by Buena Vista” logo? A film I watched all the time when I was little that had/has that logo was the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Everything about it, from the abstract blue background, to the weird font used for the “Buena Vista” text, and ESPECIALLY the music I found creepy. I’m not entirely sure if the music in the logo on many adventures is used in other films. It wasn’t the only logo that scared me - I was also scared of the radical sheep logo, Sony wonder website bumper, paramount dvd logo, paramount feature presentation logo, “cheesy shield” Warner home video logo, aka cartoon logo, and 2002 deluxe digital studios logo. As well as the “flashbang” bumpers on 90s Disney tapes as well as another Disney bumper - the “spinning disc” bumpers from 2006-2020. They’d have a spinning disc on the top left corner and the music would always be unpredictable, where sometimes they’d be calm, while others they’d be bombastic. Even to this day I mute the volume whenever I watch a dvd with those bumpers.

Those bumpers used to scare me as a kid as well! (I'm referring to 2006-2010.) Those, the "Wizard of Oz" anti-piracy ad that was seen on Peanuts DVDs and the Sesame Workshop "Children Around the World are Counting" promo all scared me for similar reasons- that they opened up with a jumpscare. I remember exiting Fastplay as quick as possible to avoid seeing those bumpers. There's one of these bumpers in particular that still haunts me- while browsing DVD openings like I used to I came across one of those bumpers, where the music was a dark string theme with a woman wailing operatically in the background! It's worse when combined with the dark shade of purple on "You Again"! Turns out this theme is actually called "Darkness of the Soul" and it's actually a pleasant piece of music when you get past the opening. Doesn't make the bumper any less haunting, however.

The scariest logo i've ever seen is the 1997-1999 Wild Brain "Purple Pencil Head" logo. Before that, it was the Nick Jr Productions Kangaroo and Joey logo from Blue's Clues.

At 2:24, I see the letters are in the balloon. After the needle/line disconnects Nelson, the Needle pops the Balloon causing the Words to fall out from the balloon.

Literally in context, the reason why it is scary is that those intros are there to show that these companies distributed these movies, and those intros are so loud because they try to make those as professional as possible, and make you feel like this movie is really high quality and professional and loud as hell lol, but I think that they should make it like short and simple, it would be better and not scare the heck outta people lol. I've been terrified of these movie intros. You should have added the Walt Disney Home Video, that one is more terrifying than the Home Entertainment. That one will haunt you for a long time if you watch that intro alone.

What about Shadow Projects? Some people were terrified of this logo as kids.

THX is scary by not only the appearance but most of the times by the high pitched deep notes. The worse scary one other than Broadway is the newest THX logo (THX ECLIPSE). This one is even scary cuz it's much louder than the rest and it has higher bass and treble. Anyways THX doesn't scare me anymore unless it came from space and then suddenly appeared loud in my house at night when my room is dark, I would just freeze and not move for a bit.

The only thing I'm scared of super mario world on SNES the big lock becomes big. And the Mgm logo make me cry.

Fun fact: disneytoon studios closed in 2017 so you don’t have to be scared of it anymore (it’s true)

The “Hi-Fi Stereo” logo was much more scarier than the THX logo Appeared on numerous movies and TV shows which were released on VHS by Columbia Tristar Home Video (Little Women, Bear in the Big Blue House: Heroes of Woodland Valley, Holly Hobbie & Friends: Christmas Wishes, etc)

My list : 1) Citel Video Yeah since I didn't watch many movies during my childood the only logo that scared me was the logo of Citel Video.

(For Big Idea's logo) I thought you would mention the old Big Idea's logo that had the letters small at first, but then pop up into it's original size, as big as until now (not to mention Larry, who was looking at the letters with his head turned along with his back facing the screen but at the time the letters pop up to its big size, he bumps into Bob, who was next to him and looks at him while Larry shrugs and then the both look at the viewers with smiling faces, you know, Bob with his pearly whites teeth shown and Larry with his mouth open while smiling like this ":D" due to being shown with one tooth) while the "A" in "Idea" pops up a little more, making a random minor sound from the VeggieTales episode that had that sound heard in a scene in the episode at the end of the credits.

If you saw the bnd logo of doom that will be number 1

The THX ,the Walt Disney Home Entertainment, Home Video (Gold) , and the Disney Dvd Pure digital magic/ movies magic and more logo always froze me when I was little. It looks like it's gonna appear in front of my face every night when I need to go to the bathroom, or when I look at my window on my bed.

As a little boy I was scared of the logos from Jester Interactive and Cine BancoEstado. Jester was a video game company that made some MTV music games, and the other was a film division of a Chilean public bank. I wasn’t scared of THX or Viacom.

API logo is really scary (the one with the evil propeller thing). The 1992-1995 CBS logo is kinda scary too (I also think the late 80's CBS logos are scary but they were before my time so I don't remember them but I do remember the 90's CBS logo). Starry Night and Universal used to scare me a tiny bit as a kid but not now

Roxie Entertainment the only logo I was scared was the MGM LOGO. And also, when I was little I playing super mario world on Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I was scared of the keyhole when I was little. When I was trying to put a key in the keyhole the keyhole turn big and after that I ran from the room. And that night. When I was in bed in the dark I was still scared of that keyhole. And I was scared of the castle. After I was done beating the 1 boss. Mario and the castle appeared. I was super scared of the castle. Again that night I was in bed in the dark again I hide under the covers to be safe. And I also call my grandma to come and put the key in the keyhole. And when I give the controller to my grandma I ran into my grandma's room until it was over.

Sony Pictures Logo scares me, especially whenever a movie or television series goes off and then completely dark and silence, and then all of a sudden; The Sony Pictures logo music. Frightening!!-😱

Remember the THX Logo with Shrek? It's actually pretty funny.

The Disney toon studios logo gave me nightmares edit: probably because Mickey turned white. Edit 2:Overall, I think it's a very cute logo. It used to scare me but then now I'm older (it was when I was 5 or 4 I got scared) , I think it's a cute logo.

I own the 2007 DVD of Holly Hobbie & Friends: Christmas Wishes which contains the scary looking yet rather cute Sony Wonder logo You forgot the Sony Hi-Fi Stereo logo (shown in numerous Columbia Tristar Home Video VHS releases) and the Walt Disney flashbang bumpers (shown in numerous Touchstone Home Video, Miramax Home Entertainment, Dimension Home Entertainment, Hollywood Pictures Home Video, Buena Vista Home Video and Walt Disney Home Video VHS releases) These are the scariest logos so far Big Idea, the creator of VeggieTales, went out of business a few years ago (the trademark is currently owned by Classic Media which is a division of NBCUniversal)

The Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo was also horrifying in my opinion! Let me tell you a quick story. My mom bought me The Muppet Movie on DVD for me to enjoy but when that logo popped up I ran to my bedroom and hidden there!

When I was a kid, the only logo that scared me was the Columbia Pictures logo (the logos from 1993-2006 and 2007-present). Here are a few reasons why: 1. The torch lady statue creeped me out. 2. I always got scared of the flash at the beginning of the logo.

Roxie, I think I might have to agree with you because I used to and love the thx logo, but nowadays it gives me nightmares. I also find Pixar scary for a 1 yr old girl, you remember the logo that has no background music, just the sounds of luxo jr. After he would smash the I, he stares at you at the end giving the scare that the viewer is his next victim. I was still scared until I was 8, I became comfortable with that logo.

Forgot to mention that in the closing version, the scene lights dim, and luxo jr’s bulb was brighter, just then, he would turn off his bulb, it was my ultimate nightmare fuel. When I would watch a Pixar movie, I would close my eyes and stay still as much as possible so that he would not see me. When the logo has ended, I would open my eyes to see the movie.

I Agree With The Universal One. Last year I Was Scared of it But Years later I’m Not scared of it anymore

the music in the Warner Brothers logo is actually a re-orchestrated version of As Time Goes By from CASABLANCA.So it's not scary, but rather iconic. And they're still using this theme for their logo and it's incredible work.

Top three of my least favorite logos: 1.Nelvana (I most of the time saw the shortened version and the firework thing in the background was the thing that horrified me) 2. Hanna Barbara (is there any explanation?) 3. Rocket production ( I just don't like the flashing lights)

Tex would come after you with a moo can, throw it at you, break and let the loudest THX on Earth everyone and every animals go deaf?!!?!?!?! YEAH?!?!? I respect that fear. I know all the warning signs. 1: Everything goes dark, a blue rectangle pops up. 2: Your heart beats faster and faster once you hear the weird unsettling and scary noise. 3: You see "Digitally mastered for superior sound and picture quality" that's when you know it's time to Bolt outta here! Get it? Bolt?

A similar variation of the THX logo had Horton the elephant (from Horton Hears a Who! by Dr. Seuss) yelling at Steve Carell’s character after the logo appears out of nowhere

Are you scared of The OZ Film Manufacturing Company Logo? I don't find it scary. I find it interesting, and bizarre.

To me, I find the Buena Vista Television Logo (1997) to be the scariest, especially in its long form. The suspenseful music, the shooting stars, the space and planet theme, and the font all look scary. It seemed like that planet was about to be destroyed. I also found the Warner Brothers TV Logo, the Paramount TV Logo, the 20th Century Fox Logo, and the Columbia-Tristar logo to be scary, but only at the end of a TV show.
