My dog face puffer is huge. He is nice. How you ask? He aids sick fish. I did have a tang, he loved it and would swim with it. But when it got sick, he HELD IT UP WITH HIS BODY! He would sit there for hours holding the poor thing up! It died though and he was sad. He hid the whole day and made sure the other puffer didn’t bite at his body. It was sad...

The biggest mistake I've almost done and have seen many people do is impulse buying fish there is no doubt about the saltwater hobby is the selection we have in fish is absolutely stunning.

As someone just getting into saltwater, your videos as a tremendous help. I haven’t even started stocking yet and was planning on putting in some yellow tail Damsels but I might go with some Chromis instead. Great topics please keep them coming.

I agree with a lot of other comments on here that patience and self control are the hardest parts of stocking a tank. I want to add too much too soon. And that has its own disadvantages as well as adverse affects on my wallet 😣. Great video and thanks for making the awesome vids!!

Wrasses are awesome. There was a speaker at MACNA a few years back that spoke just on wrasses, I guess it can be kinda tricky stocking a lot of them in a tank.
Excelent video congrats. What is the first sign of trouble that usually appears when the aquarium reaches the maximum population level of fish and coral?

When I first got in the hobby I would do a bunch of research get to the local aquarium store see none of the fish I had chosen to get and then get convinced by the shop owner that xyz fish would be great together. Those dark days came with tons of learning experience and a side of ike it times. Quarantining is very important.

Great information. I have question. How do u know if your tank filtration cannot handle the bioload that your tank have? Because earlier you posted that if added too much in the tank, then your chemical and biological filtration cannot handle the bioload.
The hardest thing for me with my current tank is that all the fish I put in quarantine died. The 7 fish I have in the tank were not quarantined. I still believe in QT. Great info, thank you
I haven't had too much trouble with my stocking. Use LA for pictures, reef compatibility, tank size. Then to R2R to get opinions on the list.
In number 8, I do not think as always happens because I added a bluejaw trigger in my peaceful tank and the triggerfish did just fine in the tank and never been aggressive to other fish
I'm a beginner for saltwater , I wanted to learn so many times form you. I have e 3.5 feet tank just I started with damsels and clown. Pl suggest some good fishes
I definitely need to set up a quarantine tank. As my tank matures and fish get bigger, I would hate to have it all crash over a new fish I "just had to have"

Thanks for watching and good luck with your build.

I think the hardest part is slowly adding to the tank vice putting everything in at once if you have a plan.
Making sure that the fish will be happy in the size tank you have, making sure they're reef safe, having all the fish get along with one another, and planning the fish for possible tank upgrades makes it hard to narrow down the fish selection. Too much to keep straight at once.
Cool clownfish tank
I believe that knowing if they eat each other and if they are territorial
I’ve been fortunate enough to never have any issues when I’ve added new fish to my freshwater or saltwater aquariums but I don’t want to push my luck so I started a quarantine tank for freshwater still need one for saltwater any suggestions for affordable equipment for it?

I am in the middle of a 125g build and with the many issues I am thinking though the one related to this topic is quarantine tank. When I am starting a new tank with the cycling process everyone says go ahead a quarantine a couple of fish so they will be ready. But if I do not have cycled media already I would have to cycle the QT as well. So what is you suggestion when first initiating both tanks.
