Moved to southern de exactly for why you mentioned. No need to live by the office anymore. A long drive day trip once in a while is worth it

I’m thinking of moving here next year. I’m from Baltimore and want to stay close to home but just not…..home lol I love that it’s still close to everything and everybody but the access seems closer…broader. I’m not worried about it being considered boring or dangerous because that is subjective. You should be careful and safe no matter where you are. I cannot wait to start packing.

So some things I can agree with… everything is pretty close to most cities. One thing you didn’t mention is no sales tax. But if I want to go to any city it is about 2 hours every way. Public transportation sucks. I hate knowing I’ll always have to have a car to live here. Boomers move here from just about every state and this is their retirement state. Um what else… well if you live in lower delaware it’s not great. If you move here maybe go to Wilmington. That way you have access to Philly more. Although that has a lot of crime too. That’s most of the USA for you . When people say the state is great they usually refer to the beaches. Although they are nice and upidy, a tonnnn of people come from out of state. The beaches are always crowded. For a millennial it is pretty boring here unless you live upstate. The job market is not very good. Crime in lower de and Wilmington isn’t great. I would say maybe don’t raise a family here.

Can someone please give me any information about Newark, because I am going to move thier so anything could help, plus iam a welder and can work in any other industrial Job other than welding and I don't have college degree.

Im from Newark went to UofD. I left decades ago so im not current but if you like rolling hills, head north out of Newark up 896. White Clay Creek area… really sweet.
