David Fincher’s The Social Network is the stunning tale of a new breed of cultural insurgent: a punk genius who sparked a revolution and changed the face of human interaction for a generation, and perhaps forever. Shot through with emotional brutality and unexpected humor, this superbly crafted film chronicles the formation of Facebook and the battles over ownership that followed upon the website’s unfathomable success. With a complex, incisive screenplay by Aaron Sorkin and a brilliant cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake, The Social Network bears witness to the birth of an idea that rewove the fabric of society even as it unraveled the friendship of its creators.

the acting here is that much more amazing when you think about how Fincher made them do it millions of times and usually sorkin demands word for word. how did these actors do it??

I love this movie. One of my favorite things about it are the Winklevosses (I may have spelled the last name wrong). What I mean is that despite them being twins, they have distinct differences. Tyler is more impulsive than Cameron, while Cameron is more level headed. There a lot of things that show this, such as the University issue scene and the scene when they found out about Facebook. I especially love the line that Tyler said “I’m 6’5, 220 and there’s two of me.”

Its amazing that this film didnt win the best picture oscar. Yet it had such a significant cultural impact and influence, that to this day remains on the highest pedestal of cinema mastery. It will forever be one of the greatest films made, alongside other "losers" like Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Saving Private Ryan and Shawshank. ...But hey Kings Speech was more impactful right?

Thank you for sharing really was a fantastic movie, I think I will get more appreciation as years to come, I think you missed one of the pivotal moments of the movie in the whole point is the scene where Mark Zuckerberg says "Facebook can never go down" basically can never go offline it has to be live, this point really resonated with me as someone in tech
I see somethign differnt here. Mark WAS the MIND behind everything. He was super talented and ahead of everybody around him. The people around jus twanted to take credit for it
Guys, Jimmy Fallon's entire video was alos deleted after the GQ interview. Dam it, GQ

Did Eduardo Saverin actually claim to ppl that he and Zuckerberg both built FB? Coz from the movie, what I understand is that Saverin was only into writing an algorithm and then pitching to few folks for investment. He wasnt directly involved in any other process of building FB, right?

What I'd you to do is show 10 scenes that you like, call them pivotal, but don't bother to explain why.
I can just imagine Mark Zuckerberg saying that at the end , his completely cold lifeless face , I would be terrified if he said that to me 😂😂

You miss the point. He came to her, not the other way around. She is not impressed with Mark world, fame and prestige drives him but not her. She did create an account in Facebook in the end of the movie, but she does not want anything to do with Mark's megalomania. That doesnt mean he is not a hard worker and he deserve the rewards after. It's his attitude that bite him in the ass.

You watch this more and you realise that Mark does have a reason to get rid of Eduardo: in the entire time Facebook was being made, Eduardo provided nothing but money and saw Facebook as a money making scheme with ads. He was never truly in the idea, he just felt responsible as a friend.
