Robin Williams was admittedly the only good thing about the Patch Adams movie, and glad Patch legit likes him. But it's the writers/producers fault and not the actor. Another thing that was offensive was that Adams' wife dies in the movie despite her still being alive to this day. And there were complaints that it mocked the death of a male friend he had.

Actually, she wasn't his wife in the movie, just a love interest. I guess she was a combination of Patch's real life wife and his male friend who was killed.

His “love interest” was actually a male best friend who tragically was murdered! Not only did they have him be a female love interest but gave her a sexually abused childhood! What the hell? Why write that in there??? And not only that they have him practice medicine without a license and there’s scenes of him stealing supplies at the hospital and that never happened either! He takes his job seriously and professionally. I can see why he didn’t like it! The only good thing is the performances!

Another dishonorable mention Nina (2016) A biopic about Nina Simone (incredible musician and civil rights activist) portrayed by Zoe Saldana. The film was heavily panned by critics (2% on Rotten Tomatoes) audiences ($22.584 against a $7 million budget) and, of course, Simone’s family. They called Zoe Saldana horribly miscast and the makeup used on her atrocious with a boring story to match. She has since regretted being part of the film saying this following statement: "I should have never played Nina. I should have done everything in my power, with the leverage that I had 10 years ago [was] a different leverage but it was leverage nonetheless. I should have tried everything in my power to cast a Black woman to play an exceptionally perfect Black woman."

I hate biopics. If they can't be bothered to tell the bios correctly, DON'T DO THEM! Watch a real bio instead of a fantasy because a studio committee decided making it more interesting was more important than just telling the story.

@@blackguyofthesouth2161 I know, but it's hard to watch when you know they made up part of the story. Back in the 50s, they did a biopic of Buster Keaton, which didn't even bother to tell his story correctly. It so disgusted Buster and his wife that they wanted to just disappear during the first screening. But it did buy the ranch house they lived in for the rest of his life, so glass half full?

Minor complaint here, but it would be much nicer if you referred to the time of year in months rather than seasons, such as Pam & Tommy being released in "the winter of 2022". Down here in the Southern Hemisphere, as May 2022, we are only just about to start winter.
