Your lists are always inspiring. I was especially pleased to see Svetlana Alexievich included and recommend reading her other oral histories. She has captured life in the former Soviet Union and Belarus with passion and persistence.

I'm so glad you liked How to Tame a Fox as much as you did as I've had it on my tbr for a while. I think my favourite non fictions this year were As You Wish by Carey Elwes and The Poisoner's Handbook by Deborah Blum.

An Immense World was my favourite book (not just Non-fiction) of last year. I annotated the whole thing and it was such an amazing experience

Just added How to Tame a Fox to my TBR! Killers of the Flower Moon has been on my shelves for years at this point, I think it’s high time I read it! And Immense World is also high on my TBR, after reading and loving I Contain Multitudes this year. My top nonfiction includes Gender Queer, Ace, The Song of the Cell, and I’m Glad My Mom Died (read all the way back in January). Pathogenesis and A History of the Index were also good reads for me

My favorite nonfiction books this year, in no particular order, were Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner, Beyond the Wand: the Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard by Tom Felton, Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson, and The Unwomanly Face of War by Svetlana Alexievich. I only read 1 nonfiction book in 2022, but I definitely got back into reading nonfiction this year, thanks to discovering your channel a couple of years ago. It had been a few years since I had read any nonfiction. I definitely am planning on going through some that I own this year.

I need to finally read An Immense World

Oh I also read Voices from Chernobyl in 2023 and it was so difficult. I also found it difficult to find Alexievich's voice in there though, but maybe that's the beauty of her writing? I also read The Penguin Lessons a few years ago and it was very sweet, although with a sort of abrupt ending. Adding An Immense World and Caste to my TBR for sure!

Adding several of these to my TBR, my favorite nonfiction this year was 'Love, Pamela' by Pamela Anderson

I read How Magicians Think during Non-Fiction November 2023. The writing was excellent! Along Came a Llama sounds very cute! I bought it for kindle.

Thanks for the recommendations!! Around 75 percent of the books I read are non-fiction. The other 25 percent are when i go on binges of mystery/thriller books!! Lol, my guilty PLEASURE!!

I'd really be interested in seeing a movie vs. book video on "Caste" and the film version called "Origin".

Killers of the Flower Moon was an amazing book. I’ll have to check out An Immense World….The Wager was my number one book this year. Scorsese and DiCaprio are teaming up again to make this book into a movie.

Olive, do you have any dinosaur/paleontology nonfiction recommendations?

My favourite nonfiction of 2023 is wonder drug by Jennifer Vanderbes. I definitely recommend reading it. I feel the book is not been given the marketing it deserves as the topic is still trying to be covered over
