Goldeneye hasn't exactly aged well. Perfect Dark is rough as well, but it got a second lease in life when it was rereleased on the Rare Replay & plays like a charm. If the same had happened to Goldeneye, then it would've aged better.

The Game was rereleased on accident, the remake is great. Rare made it but couldn't release it due to Nintendo being unable to get the license, but Rare has no legal standing to hold the game since they are owned my Microsoft so they leaked it online!

Played OoT for the first time this year, on original hardware. The breadth of storytelling and game play diversity is incredible

For all the guff people give the N64, it has ARGUABLY the greatest Mario game, Zelda game, Mario Party game , Paper Mario game, WWF game, and Star Fox game of all time in it’s library. That’s pretty impressive.

Both of these games are very over rated and have not aged well.

At a time when wrestling dominated TV ratings and PPV sales- the N64 had the greatest wrestling titles. Many flocked to Nintendo 64 just to be able to have some of the best wrestling gameplay experiences. It deserves some recognition….

GoldenEye is an inspiration for so many games thereafter and deserves a place on this list over Perfect Dark...daym what an awful list...wheres mariokart at

Star Fox 64 and ocarina of Time. Absolute classics both 10\10s.

Big agree on Majora's Mask being as high as it was. Besides having fun time loop tropes to play upon, the juxtaposition of young Link attempting to save the adults of Termina from the end of the world is really compelling. I'd love to replay through a re (re) release of that game.

The fact that it's listed over Diddy Kong Racing, however, is a complete paradox within the space-time continuum.

A remaster of ocarina of time,majora's mask and Twilight princess in a collection on switch would be amazing

I'm appalled that conkers bad fur day wasn't on this list... his game was so ahead of its time to this day there's never been another game quite like it...

This list is probably the most predictable list of all time

Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark and Spiderman 64 DOMINATED my life as a kid growing up with N64.

For me my top 10 would be 10. Goldeneye 9. Mario Party 1 8. Diddy Kong Racing 7. Mortal Kombat Trilogy 6. Star Fox 64 5. Paper Mario 4. Killer Instinct 3. Mario Kart 64 2. Mario 64 1. Ocarina of time Also big honerable mentions to Shadows of the empire, episode 1 racer, super smash bros, Mace the dark ages, NFL Blitz, Majoras Mask, banjo Kazooie/tooie, Pro Skater 2, Spiderman 64, Mario Golf and donkey Kong 64 as well because those games are definitely classics as well

So we are going to ignore Pokémon stadium… one of the best games ever….

Best part about Pokemon Stadium was you can not only play Gameboy Pokemon on your TV but you can battle them in 3D and store them then delete the Gameboy game and start your adventure then put them back on there for free and no need if Pokemon Bank!!! It should had been top 10!!

Pretty solid list, though a Turok game and Goldeneye would make sense in the top 10. Ocarina of Time deserves #1 though, the game essentially started 3D, melee-3rd person combat, in video games. Pretty much every 3rd person melee combat game derived from the Z targeting model.

Paper Mario is one of my favorite games of all time. This game is super amazing, fun and lively experience and 100% deserve to be in the Top 10 Nintendo 64 Games.

Star Fox was amazing. The rumble pack was so incredible with it. Goldeneye64 and Perfect Dark are still the best FPS ever made. Mario Kart 64 was the best game with friends. So many all nighters. Ocarina of Time best single player experience. So amazing. Waverace64 was awesome. The control you had with the center stick was just incredible.

First GameSpot made a list now IGN and probably others, too. Love that N64 games coming to Switch means the game industry is shining a light on these games.

Some truly epic games and the reason why my N64 is hooked up to my TV today.

My favorite N64 games are Conker's Bad Fur Day, Kirby Crystal Shards, Bomberman 64 and Mystical Ninja starring Goemon 1 and 2

My top 10: Mario 64 Ocarina Of Time 007 Goldeneye Super smash bros WWF no mercy Conkers bad fur day Paper Mario Megaman 64 Pokémon stadium Banjo Kazooie

Yes Golden Eye was revolutionary but when Perfect Dark came along, 007 took a back seat without a doubt. Perfect Dark was in complete control at that point.

64 had some great games. Wish some of these games would be released with new controls and cameras

One of my favorite things about Paper Mario 64 was how Mario's partners were enemy species, from A Boo to a Goomba, to a Koopa Troopa, and even a Bob-omb. It was a breath of Fresh Air to see Mario team up with these characters and not blindly stomp on them before he gets to know them.

N64 may not have had the best controller ever, but certainly had the best roster of groundbreaking games. Ocarina of Time will always reign supreme!

It's not too often that you can say a game is just as fun no matter how many times you play it. Though it may be small, the N64's library is full of titles like this.

Happy to see Wave Race getting the respect it deserves. Usually these lists being made today for the 64 always leave it off because todays younger people don’t know what makes a great racing game. Wave Race 64 is one of the best racing game ever made.

The N64 might not have had the best graphics, but the games were pretty darn incredible.

OOT is also officially still the best video game of all time.

Perfect Dark finally getting the recognition it deserves. Such great memories. Playing complex, with bots, laptop guns setup all over the place and mines. Ohhh the mines!
