Great tips! Glad to see another Airstream video!! For #5, I’m pretty sure all Airstreams have an internal water pressure regulator.

My 2022 Globetrotter is about to leave the factory and does in fact have the pressure regulator. But there are differences between model years and also other differences in models between the one and two axles, Bambi vs. Caravel a/c, power stabilizers, etc... I would think that the pressure regulator should at least be standard on everything starting 2021, but you never know unless you spend the time researching every last detail these days with just about everything!

From what I’ve heard it’s safer to use the metal outside regulator. I’ve heard the inside pressure regulator is plastic. I feel like for cost(less than $10) it’s worth it.

The 50' extension cord you linked is only good for 15 amps on a 30 amp trailer. That's half the amps at double the length of your OEM RV cord. That is a serious fire hazard to your trailer and your friends house not to mention your appliances and circuits in the trailer. If you are running for 50' then you will need at least an 8 gauge wire extension cord to safely handle that length. You should also check the breaker on the outlet you connected to inside the house. It may not be able to handle the load either. My recommendation is to just buy another 25' 30 amp RV cord to make the 50' length you need. If she is running the microwave and then turns on her straightener while making coffee you are going to be flipping breakers at best. Attempting to run the A/C with that little cord is a whole other problem.

You’re correct. The extension cord is used on 15 amp (home) circuits. You won’t need 30 amp coverage. This is when we’re mooch-docking off someone’s house. We just have to be careful we don’t run to appliances at once (AC and microwave)

The newer Airstreams (2021 and beyond) have hot water on demand. The built in pressure regulator is sufficient. If you put on an additional one outside it doesn’t give sufficient pressure for the tankless to work properly
