@@Bootyhunter1971 well yes... though before re buying one i found out my... mediocre laptop can run wii and gamecube games with the EASY to use dolphin emulator... who'd knew emulators are so effective yet easy to use nowadays? and all for free! but if i still had my wii i WOULD homebrew it.

My friends and I played that a ton. Probably the best Bond game after Goldeneye. And one of the best Multiplayer games on the Gamecube.

Holy Crap! I thought I was alone at this. Nightfire had by far one of the best multiplayers for any 007 game and definitely better than a lot of the ones mentioned here. It had everything, the weapons, the maps, bots, all the crazy modes and gadgets. Nightfire's multiplayer is so underrated that it's almost tragic.

Mario party 4 was a huge part of my childhood

Mario Party 4 and 5 were just Horrible. I love Mario Party 6 and 7, because they were both bright and colorful and the minigames we're alot of fun to play

"Sadly, it was the pinnacle of the series, it all went downhill from here"... Uhh not at all.... 5, 6, 7 and 8 are really good. The series went downhill from 9 (event though it's still a fun game).

Oh so many memories! Rebel Strike is one of the best games I've played seriously it's the coolest so underrated!!! And way too overlooked

um lets not forget sonic adventure 2 battle. its multiplayer games IS one of the best in the series. You could race on foot with sonic and shadow though diffrent stages, treasure hunt for emeralds with knuckles and rouge , have a mech shooting battle with tails and eggman , have go kart races , and have fighting touraments with the chao you raised in the game. ect. True this game dont compete with some of the games on this list , but you have to admit this game was fan service done the right kind of way

To my knowledge Mario Party 5 - 7 were made with a very similar design as 4, although they did add the item orbs, but that ended up making the game less luck based with tactically placing these traps quite possibly winning you some of the games, and the more complex maps just made the experience better, constantly keeping the game very balanced for every player, not just someone snatching the win with a hidden block. I really don't know who's opinion it is when you say everything went downhill from there but, good for them, the series only started going downhill with the Wii installations, 8 removing the item orbs and replacing them with self buffing candies, also making the boards way more straightforward and lame. Then 9 made everyone be clumped up into 1 car, battling for who gets more mini-stars from different challenges and mini-games. Then there's 10 with basically what was Mario Party 9, but with just Bowser added into the mix. Also 5 - 7 had way better mini-games than 4

My thoughts also.

The top 2 choices are some of my favorite games of all time. Double Dash was the very first video game I ever owned, and it was the best. In terms of Mario Party, the 4th one was the 2nd best for me. My favorite in the series was the 7th one. After that, it went down hill starting with 8.

No Sonic Adventure 2? Literally one of the best GC games ever

Turok: Evolution and Pikmin 2 better be friggin' included on the list because no one acknowledges how great they are in multiplayer... Wasn't disappointed to see Pikmin 2 tbf

Mario Power Tennis? Mario Golf? Both were really great multiplayer games. baseball was aight

Super monkey ball 2 and Mario kart double dash were 2 of my all time favorites when I was five. The nostalgia is soooo real right now!

No items, 4 players, 10 stocks, Super Sudden Death is one of my favourite ways to play Melee, so much fun.

Timesplitters fricking 2. Was the only thing I did with my friends at every sleepover literally for like ten years.

My brother and I grew up playing Mario Party 4 and 7, Star Wars The Clone Wars, Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast, Mario Kart Double Dash, Kirby Air Ride, and Super Smash Bros Melee together. I was not surprised at any of the entries on here and I had so many flashbacks to my childhood.

Honestly...the Gamecube was the best system for a party back in the day. Xbox had Halo which was also intense, but my friends and I preferred Gamecube for Kart/Melee majority of the time. Great list WM! I hope you guys/gals get this hack sorted out as well! Good luck!

Mario party 7 is good

I just bought an HDMI and Xeno modded Gamecube on eBay that comes with the Gameboy player addon and a GBA Everdrive x5. It also comes with 2 controllers and I still have 2 controllers from the last time I owned one. I'm going to try some of these games out with my 2 sons. It shows up tomorrow just in time for the weekend. I'm excited!

i remember playing Melee. Putting hundred lives in sudden death with 300 damage and ending up winning with thirty lives remaining.

Geist for multiplayer should have been an honorable mention. way too much fun if you have 4 people playing at once.
