Same. The church scene gave me chills. The Killer does not have nearly as many awesome shootouts as Hard Boiled though, because it focuses more on the story. Hard Boiled's story is just an excuse to link together the shooting.

The Matrix Bullet Time effect is definitely so famous that it even inspired Remedy and Rockstar to use it in the Max Payne franchise and GTA V

The whole video I was saying to myself "If John Wick isn't number one..."

I think Tombstone(1993), should at least have been among the Honorable Mentions, just for Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday alone. Last Man Standing(1996) with Bruce Willis, should also have been at least an Honorable Mention. Kingsman(2014) should probably also, at least have been an Honorable Mention, since it also had some impressive gunplay(like in the church).

Ajes R9 Tomstone is one of my favorite westerns but the gunfight at the O.K Corral was good but it was wayyyy to short. If it was longer I would’ve put it over the last shootout in Scarface and the bank shootout in Heat

The western style pistol duel scene from El Camino was incredible. The climatic shootout in Wind River was also epic.

I'm sorry, but John Woo (The Killer, Hard Boiled, Face/Off, etc...) deserves the #1 spot in this category. It's not even close.

They're not referring to the world in the movie, but about the style of choreography used to make the movie. Gun-fu as a choreography term probably started with John Woo and was used to describe the style of Equilibrium as a great example of the style.

Well, not exactly. Many of the sniper scenes are completely unrealistic (shooting a guy through the scope, and not zeroing the scope in the first place), and some of the gun props seem far too light. It has realistic depictions of the brutality of war and it's an awesome story, but the gun depictions themselves are not the most realistic.

Slapshot Gaming idk if you’ve ever shot a 1903 before but that shit kicks. So when that religious guy was popping nazis from the church and his gun stayed perfectly still, it blew any realism out of the picture and showed it was just another propaganda film.

I beg to differ, just watch Heat and search up the real sounds of an M4. Then you'll see what I mean.

I know there wasn't enough of it to make the list, but I really enjoyed the gunplay in The Winter Soldier. Specifically Bucky vs Cap, Nat, and Sam

No Face/Off that's one of the best gun fu movies of all time, but it's criminally underrated.

How could this list NOT be 10 John Woo movies?!

John Wick certainly deserved to be on the list, but I would still put Hard-Boiled slightly above it. John Woo rocks! The Killer should have been on the honorable mentions. I guess I'm just old school. And even though it's totally over-the-top, Yakuza Weapon deserves some credit for insane Gunplay.

Yes Lone Survivor was an excellent example of ground advantage and small arms vs machineguns. At least Heat was on the list, our infantry combat instructor show us the bank chip back in 2010 to show us proper bounding and peeling techniques.

1.15 Gotta love it how she flies in an approximately 70° degree angle to the direction of the bullet

I would have put Heat at the top because the bank shootout sequence is considered by many as the most realistic shootout in movie history, which for me makes it far more enjoyable than the highly stylized sequences.

The main detail in the Baby driver's gunfight scenes is, as the whole movie, they are perfectly synched with the music. Each shot or explosion match with the song.
