Jane Austen must be smiling somewhere knowing her literary works leave a lasting impressions in our hearts

One romantic line that always gets me it's from the movie Leap Year: "May you never steal, lie, or cheat, but if you must steal, then steal away my sorrows, and if you must lie, lie with me all the nights of my life, and if you must cheat, then please cheat death because I couldn't live a day without you..." and I'm plannin' saying them at my wedding

Am I the only one that thinks the declaration of love on the airplane in "The Wedding Singer" should be on the list, if they another one of these?

My best friend's wedding is my favourite romantic comedy to date. Julia's character was an actual trainwreck of a person and her desperation to cling on to Michael was actually realistic as was most of the premise. Especially the fact that he still chose Kim is the most realistic of all

Pride and prejudice definitely deserved to be No.1 . I really didn’t think it would even make it to the least, was so glad to see it was actually first. Finally some recognition that beautiful film needs💓

And I also have to say there is just something so emotionally satisfying when Myles and Iris met up at the awards show and he tells her he would come to London to see her on New Year's and they share a little kiss. I love the moment right after when they both turn away and you see both of them have their own little celebration of the moment, as if they each just won their own little lottery. And "all the warm fuzzy stuff that makes them feel alive inside again" comes back. Love that moment. Dont really enjoy Jack Black all the time as a goofball obnoxious character, but he is quite the believable dramatic actor. Both in this film and in Shallow Hal.

I love romantic movies but for some reason I don't like that movie. I don't know why. Maybe because it's sad or something. For sad movies I like Tuck Everlasting.

Last of the Mohicans is one of the best, take Jerry whatever tom cruise out and put Daniel Day Lewis in.

You got that plot point of Jerry McGuire wrong. He only starts to date Renee Zellwegger after he and his fiance break up. He doesn't leave his fiance for her. Also, in Bridget Jones's Diary Mark isn't in a committed relationship. He's not dating Natasha. She's only his law partner.

The final "speech" in French Kiss always gets me :). It's not the most romantic, but it has something...special.

one of my favorite scenes from ghost starring patrick swayze and demi moore Sam: "It's amazing molly the love inside you take it with you. I love you molly I have always loved you." Molly just crying as he leaves to heaven.

I can definitely relate to that feeling of not knowing how to "quit" a partner but wishing I could, and I'd be willing to bet many others have been there too

He's Just Not That Into You speech at the end, Ginnifer Goodwin and Justin Long were amazing!!!! Thank you for putting in The Fault in Our Stars, but when Hazel gives her ...love confession... in the church it is far more raw for me but still... Also, I wish there had been Walk to Remember. There are a lot of GREAT speeches in that film.

Oh my God, good call!!!!! That is the MOST amazing speech. I know its it's supposed to be a mystery or whatever, but I have always said that The Village is the most underappreciated & underrated love story of our time!!! If u go in thinking it's a love story, not a scary movie, it's an AMAZING movie!!!! One of my favorites actually!!

Where's the most romantic Jane Austen movie scenes ever video?

I feel as tho you have failed. For me the most romantic line ever comes from Phenomenon when John Travolta asks Kyra Sedgwick: "Will you love me the rest of my life?" and she replies 'no, I'm going to love you the rest of mine'

The Sense and Sensibility scene is the best in romcom history. Mostly because of the huge performance by Emma Thompson. The entire movie sets up that scene and it delivers like a brick hitting you between the eyes. You forgot the "The problems of three little people" speech from Casablanca. That was an amazing romantic speech. Even more so because it was about giving up the girl he loved to make her happy in the end. (Casablanca is the greatest movie ever made, so it's not surprising that it has several monologues that are memorable.)
