But I started on a 250cc Honda Integra, then moved to a VFR800, and finally looking to upgrade again I test rode my hero, the 'Busa Aaaand I was bored within a few mins.. Like yeah it's fast, but it sounded muted and uninteresting and the only other thing it had going for it was looks and comfort. Ended up going for a Buell 1125r instead which was insanely fun and left me smiling long after I finished my test ride

Yep, busas are 'spicey' power and 'penny pincher' Suzuki but they make the TORQUE and have a huge aftermarket, everyone can work on em...The high rpm litre bikes w 200+ HP and 80-85tq on paper is meaningless on a commuter vs, a 1340cc 185hp and 105-110 Torque....THAT is what makes the thing easy to ride and fun - more often, withought having to do a 14k rpm redline scream. Hp/weight Ratios are meaningless in traffic when riders are 210+lbs and skill levels are mediocre w WEAK torque below 7k and only pull hard above 10k(litre bikes). If you want a fun bike no matter what YOU weigh get the one w the most TORQUE and put a quicker cammed throttle tube on it to blast everything in traffic. Shop TORQUE and Dispalcement/cyl configuration (V4!)... not peak HP and then actually run with the peakiest hp bikes but have way more fun at lower rpms. I had an R6, Gen1 Busa w yosh cams, a K6 gsxr1k flashed w M4 and now a Gen2 Busa flashed/brocks exhaust on revalved/sprung suspension and the Busa is a better commuter than my K5-6 gsxr which honestly they are dead even up top but Busa is so much more chill/fast at midrange stuff. No such thing as learner bikes. Thats the old bike salesman gimmick. Learn to ride on a torquey busa bc they are cheap and parts everywhere + its safer bc its less frustrating to modulate clutch. Yha they weigh 15-20% more but the 20% extra torque erases that aspect and the weight comes off of them easily w catless single exhaust.

Great video. I loved all the stats and comparisons. As we all know the feel off a bike is not in the stats but i love to hear them anyway. I own the 2014 KTM super duke 1290 r and the 2021 Zh2. They are both in the garage and have ridden them back to back. It may not be a fair comparison since the ZH2 is 7 years newer but the Kawaski. The KTM is good but the ZH2 is mindblowing. The KTM has initial pick up and then it's done where the Zh2 keeps pulling harder until the front wheel lift under power or your arms come off. I find it strange when owning both that these are compared. The Zh2 must leave the KTM in the dust in every way or at least it feels like that. Comparing my 2 bikes i can say the KTM is similarly as good as many other good bikes where the ZH2 will blow your mind at any speed in any gear if you can hold onto it. Test ride one today and then you will know.

I still haven’t found anything to replace my monster 1200s. With termis it makes about 155hp and 92ft/lb. It’s sexy, easy to ride, has classic good looks and with its tight gearing is very fast with lots of shifting in daily riding. In midrange opening the throttle makes a sound that can only be called intoxicating. I like the street fighter, but I find the radiators and bulk up front to be a little overpowering. It’s hard to believe the perhaps original factory naked didn’t make it on the list.

If you want " refined insanity " try the BMW S 1,000 R. I bought one when they first came out in 2014 and only had quick shifter on the up gears. I absolutely loved that thing. I seemed to take itself around tight and twisty stuff like a light 250 but with (then) 160 hp it was only 5 down on the current one although I had the race chip fitted and an Akropovich end exhaust. Turn off all the nanny controls, except maybe the antilock on the front, definitely turn it off on the rear for the odd bit of silliness but mainly so you CAN actually lay the bike down in an emergency. That thing would throw the front wheel in the air purely on throttle at over 160 kph no trouble at all and had plenty of good pull from lower revs too. I'd VERY sincerely recommend that bike, preferably in red as shown and as mine was too.

Right. The New katana is awesome, and so far I’ve seen good reviews on it! Can’t go wrong with a Suzuki, Price-Performance doesn’t get better. That’s why Suzuki is too dawg in my useless opinion.

@@JM-wy9jk I agree 100% and being as my own bike's a Katana, ... albeit a 32 year old one with 115,000 km on it, I believe Suzuki builds great machines. The fact that the Katana wasn't and never has seemed to be mentioned on this channel leads me to believe Yam and Spite aren't fans of the style. lol

Oh thank you! Finally you sort of rate the BMW S 1,000 R. Now all we need is for you to give one a proper review, preferably of riding it over at least a week in all conditions and riding hard, soft and everything in between, maybe on the track too as I think you'll find it's a pretty good setup for track racing as is except for slicks. Just make sure to turn off ALL nanny controls with the possible exception of the front anti lock braking. I guarantee you'll be impressed.

@@lees907 Hello brother. I am from India, where 40 horses is too much for the road. I settled down for a 250 Duke because where I live, reaching 6th gear even on a 390 Duke was impossible due to the road situation. Once I move to a big city, I am surely gonna save for a super Duke. Also motorcycles are the primary means of transportation here so I must get an 890 and ride at least 20K to 50K KMS before putting my hands on a liter class. And you will know this, once orange is always orange so am waiting. Thanks for sharing your experience brother.
