    I am quite ashamed I knew literally none of these composers or pieces, excepted Clara Schumann, but I'm also very happy I got the opportunity to discover new names and music. 😊 Some of these pieces are typically things I would listen to and enjoy, so I'm going to do some research. Thanks for the video!

    @@seldomn06 Not only that but most of them weren't even given the chance to learn. Even Fanny Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann only learned because their husbands/fathers were willing to teach.

    Some of the comments need to calm the hell down. Dont expect Jaine Sebastian Bach and Joannah Brahms but instead judge these composers, some of them amateurs and dilitants, for their limited opportunities and especially their will to create music. All of these women very audibly have tremendous respect for the styles they engaged in, have some decency

    Its so sad to know that these composers could've created some of the best music ever written but were discriminated against and never thought or allowed to learn or create music just because they were women. Regardless, the pieces they have written are beautiful and I've discovered some fine composers :)

    체칠레 샤미나데의 플룻과 오케스트라를 위한 콘체르티노 Op.107 이 곡을 작곡자하고 곡명을 전혀 모르고 처음으로 접하여 감상하는 사람들은 스메타나, 드보르작, 야나첵의 작품인줄 알고 인식하여 의아하고 착각합니다. 그정도로 체코슬로바키아의 국민악파풍의 칼라하고 분위기랑 이미지들이 짙은 곡입니다. 아마도 샤미나데는 체코슬로바키아 국민악파 작곡자들의 작품들에 짙은 영향을 받아 오마쥬하여 작곡한 작품일듯 합니다.

    I wouldn't say so, Lili Boulanger had a very unique style considering the era, she graduated from the school of music with Scriabin if you don't believe me. Mozart didn't have the same abilities she did, especially in the romantic era.

    I'd say the first two aren't bad they're just slow. Number 1 I didn't like but there were a few good ones. Hamlin played a wonderful piece by a female composer but I can't think of the name. But it reminds me of spring lol
