the worst part about getting the 10k pet charms is the amount of flying involved in sl. i got this with alts and just doing pet charm dailies. took all day and 90% of that time is flying from area to area. turns out the pet is shit too lol

The Accursed Hexer is a tricky one to judge accurately. Back when BfA was current, maybe you could classify buying it as a chore. However, even back then you could just do all the pet battle world quests to obtain some charms, which was far better than the BfA mission table which didn't have as many charm missions on average. The most difficult part is to get all the other pets and level them up, so you can do the pet battle world quests in the first place. Once that's done, though, it's just a daily routine of going through each quest each day. By Shadowlands, though, pet charms went through a WoD/Legion-esque inflation thanks to the covenant mission tables. You get one mission almost every day, in addition to the Shadowlands and BfA pet battle world quests you can do each day. If you really want to grind them out, you can get 500 charms after a few days. I guess it depends on whether you have alts or not. If this list only assumes that you have one character to do all the work with, then yeah, even 500 charms are a nuisance to get, especially back in BfA. But the more characters you have, the faster you can get the pet charms. The Amethyst Baubleworm is a proper timesink, though.

There is one Tol Barad daily that awards 2 commendations, but it's not up every day. Also if you switch from PVE to PVP mode (or vice-versa) you can usually gain an additional daily quest.

For the Cross Gazer in Antoran Wastes, for quick Intact Eye farming, grind the eredar mobs at "Shapers Rise" just north of the cave with the all-seer. I got the 500 needed for the portal for the rare in about 4-5 hrs of grinding with an arcane mage in DF.

I don't think I've done any of the quests for Accursed Hexxer. I just stumbled into the hollow in Nazmir, saw the pet available and bought it. Man that Baubleworm was a grind though. The other ones I actually bought the "greys" off the AH before realising buying the caged worms is cheaper.

Great video, thanks! Fyi fracois’ egg is FA-BER-ZHAY, rather than ‘faberg’. Faberge is an RL brand of luxury decorated egg baubles from Russia in the late 1800s. Your local museum will likely have one.

it only took me the entirety of SL, but I did get my 10k charms and now I have a rainbow worm :D also the only pet from the list I have... it also makes for a great shadow priest pet as it is purple/yellow and the shadowy friends effect looks pretty on it!

Pro tip for getting a TOOOON of polished pet charms in shadowlands 1. Get a lot of alts 2. Unlock mission boards rank 3 3. Get mission boards "adventure campaign progress" to lvl 20 (max) 4. Try to get more companions if possible and lvl them up to lvl 60 5. Get plenty of Anima to do missions 6. Every 12 hours or so do the mission board. You'll almost always have at least one mission up giving you polished pet charm and at maxed adventure campaign its usually 20+ per mission. The more alts you have the better. It does take a lot of setup time to get to this point but once you do super easy farm. To give you a great idea of how this is Ive been able to buy several baubleworm (selling the extras on AH), plus i was able to buy the rare and lvl 25 stones to be able to turn hundreds of pets into rares+lvl 25 AND I still have around 40,000 of these polished petcharms left Now I will warn that this may not be worth it in dragonflight....I have no idea if they'll have a new way of obtaining them but doing the mission boards during shadowlands was amazing way to obtain them and of course you'd be making a ton of gold in the process the more alts you had. The main downside was the loads of setup time for this AND the loads of anima farming you'd have to do (more alts = more farming for those toons for anima as well)

when the anniversary Molten core event was live Hatespark the tiny was one of the pet drops. i still find it today very strong in pet battles. its only a couple of thousand/s

I'm amazed that the Celestial Pets aren't listed here. Having just one of them requires at least 4 to 6 fully leveled teams to beat the tournament itself, and 3 weeks of beating the tournament to get the 3 coins required to buy a single pet.

Honestly, even before SL I checked my greys value with my TSM and would toggle off ones that are actually worth something. SL made that more necessary though and DF really is with the upcoming transmog changes.

the only grey item i know of that is worth some gold is “flores’ lost seal of approval” its just a grey ring that has like a 1 in a thousand drop rate from bugs in sholazar basin. its only really worth something if you can find the right buyer that just wants to flex on people with fancy bank alts.

So 6) the fox kit from tol barad daily quests is kinda same as the Argent crusade torunament grounds where you collected mark of Champions, However those pets only costed 40 and mounts only 150 while you had more of those daily quests available.............................................................so Blizzard really went deep into Screwing players over with Demanding even more grind of items that should be fun to obtain. No wonder i stopped playing long ago.

I have every pet in the game and they are all rare level 25 with the exception of a few blizzcon exclusive murlocs that you can only buy on eBay. I can attest to all these crazy prices and ways to get them. If you are a serious collector we are talking about a lot of time spent possibly years to get all of these pets. Good luck

Those limited timed and extrem expensiv mounts... I am sorry but i only see them exist because of the WoW token. People love mounts and there are enouth player who are buying Token just so they can have one more Mount with some vendors on it. And making them limited timed give those people the sweet sweet FOMO
