Rhenium is considered to be one of the rarest metals in the earth’s crust and has the third-highest melting point and second-highest boiling point of any stable element.
It can be identified using its chemical element symbol, Re, and atomic number 75.
6. Osmium
Osmium is a hard bluish-white transition metal in the platinum group that can be found as a trace element in alloys and Platinum ores.
It’s the densest naturally occurring element and is commonly used to make fountain-pen nib tipping and electrical contacts.
5. Iridium
Iridium is a hard silvery-white transition metal that is considered to be the second densest metal on earth.
It is the most corrosion-resistant metal and can be found in abundance in meteorites and the earth’s crust.
4. Ruthenium
Coming in at number four on our list of the most expensive precious metals is Ruthenium.
Ruthenium is a chemical element that can be identified by the symbol Ru and atomic number 44.
Belonging to the Platinum group; Ruthenium is a rare transition metal that was discovered by Russian-born scientist, Karl Ernst Claus, in 1844 at Kazan State University.
3. Gold
The third most expensive precious metal in the world is gold.
This precious metal needs no introduction as it’s arguably the most commonly known metal in the world.
In its purest form, gold can is a bright yellow, dense, soft, malleable, and ductile metal and is one of the least reactive chemical elements on earth.
2. Palladium
The Second most expensive precious metal in the world is Palladium.
Palladium is a chemical element identified by the symbol Pd and its atomic number 46.
Discovered in 1803 by English Chemist William Hyde Wollaston, Palladium was named after the asteroid Pallas.

The title of the most expensive precious metal in the world goes to Rhodium.
This precious metal is extremely rare and can be best described as a silver-white, hard, corrosion-resistant inert transition metal.

this is incorrect as u have not done a liner 10-1 cost per metal & you did not get the prices correct either
prices per gram, per ounce, or per Troy ounce is unnecessarily confusing. Why not all per gram for consistency?

I have californium and uranium for sale I’m from DRC
Soon as it got to silver after scandium I knew it was bollox - from $44 per gram for scandium to silver about $19 per ounce
And why is platinum itself not mentioned?... This metal has unique properties and is necessary for the production of catalysts that are used to convert atmospheric nitrogen and carbon dioxide into fertilizers.

i think that they did a mistake in palladium as it is presented as metal used in auto catalytic converters. It shoul be platinum instead. Unfortunatelly this is misleading video... maybe another one will be better...

Just wondering where Platinum fits into this. Now cheaper than Gold or Palladium, years ago it was inverted, with Pt more expensive than Au, and Au more than Pd if I recall

your title screen states a gram of a metal is 1 million dollars yet none listed are. also Indium is not soft but hard corrosion resistant and very low melting point of 174 degree F. and non toxic. used in plasma screens and toys before the year 2000 when demand versus supply drove the price up over Silver. also used as lead substitute for X ray aprons etc
Iridium is about to become the most expensive, from today's $200/gram to an estimated $800/gram in the late 2020s, not least depending on the large production of PEM electrolysers.
Iridium is expensive! About 4500$ per ounce!

19 Nov 2023 - you did not mention Platinum. Your prices were not researched properly and therefore your prices were not accurate. Silver and Gold are usually listed by the ounce in price.
Your list is out of order. Rhenium is the most expensive after rhodium, yet it's in the middle of the list.

It's also radioactive so people can not buy it. The tiny amount in a smoke detector is so small that I don't count it.
