For everyone planning on visiting the Great Wall of China, I strongly suggest avoiding the tourist crowds and instead hiking between Simatai to Jinshanling. One of the best things I've ever done!

This is a great tip - the wall is a lot more remote along here and you can be the only person on it. It's also a lot less restored in these areas too so you really feel like you are exploring a forgotten, overgrown ruin

Dunno how I found this channel but the Guatemala example itself made me instantly subscribe. I love the “most tourists don’t know about this hidden gem” kinda videos. After doing salkantey trek to Machu pichu I found out about the choquequirao trek that leads to a citadel comparable in size to Machu pichu. Please make more videos about these kinda hidden gem places

Great video, just found your channel today. One place that should be on your radar too, is Mirador in Guatemala.. An older bigger than Tikal (1000yr older), very remote, so not too many people get to visit it, or know about it.. but some archeologists believe it holds the largest pyramid in the world.

I got to visit both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum nearby just a couple months ago, and they were really amazing! It is hard to believe that millennia ago that gladiator fights were taking place inside there where I was standing. I would love to visit Tikal, the Great Pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu, and Angkor Wat someday. I can't wait to see your full video on Angkor Wat!

What you said about Machu Picchu is false, at least compared to what my tour guide said when I was there. He said there are no official records found on the site, so knowing why it was left couldn't be known. It could have been a smallpox outbreak that killed most of the community there were they had to move for survival. Not everybody there was a farmer.
