It's from Spyro 2, and it's quite infamous at that. In Breeze Harbor, there's an orb challenge that has you use a trolley with a cannon to collect 50 gears scattered across the track, which has multiple branching paths. I personally don't think it's as bad as people like to say it is: more than anything, it comes down to pattern memorization, so after you've completed it once or twice, it becomes much easier to get through

One thing that was great about Bentley’s character design in the original was how his weapon was huge, but was translucent and you can see right through it. It was such a great solution to having a big character with a big weapon without taking up all the screen real estate.

I didn't even realise that. That is some pretty nifty game design. That must be a big reason why the whack a mole much easier.

What I think are the most annoying eggs in the game: 5 - Hovercraft demolition. I failed so many times on that... 4 - Twin Dragons. I didn't necessarily find it hard, but it just takes FOREVER. They restore health if left alone long enough too... 3 - Bentley's boxing & whack-a-mole. He controls so slowly and I just can't bring myself to like him. The other chars were way better. 2 - The Firefly escort. Seriously, if I hear "Aww! I went boom again!" ONE MORE TIME. xD 1 - Any of the speedway races. I seriously hate these so much.

I am not a fan of Sgt bird's controls, i think both are fine for me although not my favourite challenges. Although it can be really annoying if a witch hits you and than you fall into the electrified floor. And yeah i don't have fond memories of the jack and the beanstalk one. 7 year old me just couldn't work out that you had to replace a mushroom with a flower.

Good list. Definitely agree with a few of these. Some got A LOT harder than they were originally and that annoyed me so much. The panda mission, I used to be able to do in one shot. But the controls are so bad on it. With the bridge, I couldn't get the cursor to the other side fast enough to get the 2nd one. And the bridges stay out after you fail, making it harder to aim in earlier parts of it. That and Whack a mole took the most tries. And I also died 10 times on the Haunted Tomb slide- that was RIDICULOUS!

Thank you. I did find the slide much harder on the ps1. I felt like those slide sections were way more uncontrollable like the one in crystal islands. The one in haunted tomb that corner was almost impossible to go around without flying off.

Omg Twin Dragons. My least favorite. The worst. This one always sent me into a rage lol.

That escort mission in Spooky Swamp. I'm actually replaying the game at the moment. I have got all the gems and all the eggs, apart from those two. Goddamn, I am going to need A LOT of patience when I get round to it. And a lot of Dutch courage.

Agree on most of these. I put effort into trying to beat some of the tougher ones - even the twins egg. But with whack-a-mole and the twin dragons, I thought "I've had enough of this s---" after a few tries.

I had a hard time with the final Skateboard race in the Sorceress’s Lair, it was so hard that I stopped playing the game for a few months

I've got the first 2 games completed all the way through 2 years ago. I never got 100% in the original, never even experienced Ripto's Rage until the remake, Spyro 3, is my favorite in the trilogy. Except for 1 thing: That gosh darn escort the twins challenge in Spooky Swamp. It's the only 2 eggs I need to finally finish it 117% and I just can't do it! I'd rather do the trolley in Breeze Harbor!

A lot of these apart from the twin dragons, the lost fleet race and the twin escort mission were easier for me. The rest were annoying because of how many times you'd have to repeat them. Though most weren't that long unlike the lost fleet race, the twins escort mission and the twin dragon fight. Great top 10 list though.

I’ve always been a bit weird in that I’ve always really enjoyed the 2 Dragons challenge in Fireworks factory-it’s one of my favourites. Possibly because I thought being able to fly AND shoot super breath without a time limit was insanely cool, plus the graphics and music are so nice. I know, I’m strange, and I totally get why other people don’t like it. But I have fun with it, so for me it’s great that it takes long to finish. 😊 But I agree with your top pick! I find that also the fact that the camera hugs Bentley so closely makes it REALLY difficult to see where the moles are and how close the wizards popping up near them is. Such a nightmare challenge! I hated it too. Nearly made me rage quit. 😩

Everyone likes different things. And from what i have found my choices and opinions can be very controversial. The camera really makes it hard to see what is in front of you for the moles. Which is why half the time i end up bonking a wizard over the head.

Honestly Whack the mole, is not just badly designed, it's genuinely vicious. When you have a few seconds left and reach 19 moles, they suddenly make the moles stop popping everywhere and make sure there is only one at a time well away ftom you. Seriously, HOW MEAN-SPIRITED IS That???

Outstanding Great Questions

For anyone struggling with Whack A Mole, if you angle the camera up your view is no longer obstructed and you can see several moles. I failed this for hours until I toggled the camera then i completed it first attempt x

Pretty much all of these I had to repeat many many times to get the eggs, but I actually enjoy that - it made it really satisfying when I finally completed them and got 117% 😄

Oh yeah it's such a great feeling to get that 117%. Glad you managed to complete the game. it is so fun but very challenging in places.

For the rocket skate board challenge, I found the best strategy to be to just not attempt any tricks at all and just use the boost from the crabs, then in the final lap attack the first/second place Rhynoc if it's about to overtake you.

It does seem whenever i try do a trick it can randomly jolt off to the left or right. I did wonder if you could win without tricks but i guess it can be really close

Really fun video man and gotta say I agree heavily with your picks. Surprised to not see the Witch Cats with Sgt Byrd here but I don't know if thats easier in the remake, I've only played the originals!

Honestly they were considered i never found them that hard but the fact it's a 3 part challenge is really tedious. At least there is the skill point for breaking all the glass which i always try to do when i am running low on health.

@@ClassicGamerX11 You're welcome. This was my game growing up. One time, I played it for a 24 hour stream challenge with some friends of mine and I completed the game in half of that. But now that I'm older, I can go through almost 90% of that game without taking a hit.

Just recently finished Reignited Trilogy my 4th time on my Switch Lite (Also own and have beaten it on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and PC) earlier today and I agree with most of your picks except for Numbers 8 and 5 those ones I felt weren't too bad imo, the whack-a-mole event as Bentley I hated so much since the stupid Gnomes constantly ran in front of me while trying to hit the moles and I was lucky enough to complete it after plenty of attempts with only 1 second left.

Some of those gnomes just deserve a bonk on the head. Really should not fail the mission, it's their own fault.

At least you put Ice Dancing in dishonorable mentions lol. She might have been 11 in comparison to others.

I agree with most of it, but i love the skateboard missions and I even find myself sometimes skateboarding without any purpose because its just great. I'm not ecen into skateboarding in rl but in Spyro3 this is one of my favourite parts in the game.

I honestly want a Spyro game that is all about skateboarding.

Everyone loves the skateboarding. The hardest egg of all games was the dual dragons by far.

I think the majority likes the skateboarding ones. I love them. I also LOVE the boxing challenge! It’s my favorite of all the challenges of all the games! I’ve only done reignited a version once and don’t remember it being too easy. Here are mine: 10. The dog and the ball - enchanted towers - too easy 9. Sun seeds - cloud spires - tedious and boring 8. The entire sgt byrd level - that counts right? 7. Egg shaft - seashell shores - I hate these vacuum tunnel challenges 6. Mine shaft - Dino mines - same reason as #7 except this one is harder 5. Ice dancing - icy peak - protect yourself Nancy, you talentless brat! 4. Acid lake - lost fleet - the target locking is not good and only works straight on and those stupid submarines turn around all the time 3. Agent zero doom - fireworks factory - it’s on the verge of too challenging 2. Hovercraft demolition - haunted tombs - the control of that thing is horrendous. 1. Fireflies escort - spooky swamp - I loathe escort challenges and this is the worst!!!!

If i did a ranking on worse levels the sgt bird level would be right at the bottom so i will allow it. With the boxing there is an exploit where you can just constantly press the jab and you will win. No need to block Or do big punches. I think the skateboarding has a very mixed reception most people i know don't like it. But some do. Of course people will like different things.

Whack a mole is definitely the worst in Spyro 3. Bad Dragons is a true nightmare of an egg to get (I think the hours I spent on this egg alone is probably what some people would call unhealthy) trying over and over to shoot their bloomin’ tails off. Good shout with putting the Skate the Rhynocs challenge up in the list. Thank you for the post, it’s been an entertaining throwback whilst in isolation.

That one can be annoying. Sometimes i have no problems and others times the subs just turn so quickly. When i made the list i didn't think too much about it.

With Reignited, they seemed to make some of the more annoying ones easier. I did find think that the mission where you have to protect the ice skater was a lot harder in Reignited, just due to the camera angle. I completely despise boxing, because I always try and go for the skill point. Also agree with the Lost Fleet skateboarding, but I guess it is one realistic thing in this game - hit even a pebble on a skateboard and you'll faceplant.

I agree the camera is much better for the ice skating. I allows you to see around her more easily. Yeah i guess it is much more realistic to fall off the skateboard i know i have done that when i was younger.

Tony Hawk could have finished this easily

The worse offender with the skate boarding was the yeti race in the bonus area. I despised it in the original, but the reignited trilogy made it borderline unplayable due to glitches on top of the mechanics. I raged so many times because my skateboard would just randomly break for no reason and doing tricks is too risky to even be worth it. Its ashame because Spyro 3 was my fave of the original trilogy, but with reignited the 1st game holds that title. Spyro 3 felt rushed in reignited and it shows with how badly some of the mechanics feel compared to the other 2.

The yeti race was horrendous. I am glad it's easier on reignited because it was meant to be a bonus fun level for completing the game. Not here you go have a broken hard as balls race which is super glitchy. I only found out recently that spyro 3 was outsourced to another dev team as they were rushed for time and it shows. With camera bugs, randomly getting over the amount of gems possible for a level and many others.

Yeti Boxing was the hardest egg to get in the entire trilogy and that’s comin from someone who got 100% (because it’s somewhat glitchy and hits barely hit, and the other yeti does more damage.) maybe it’s just harder on PC but it sucked and I didn’t think I’d be able to beat it

I am yet to play the PC version, but i have considered re-buying it to play it again on PC once it's cheap enough. I just try to make sure the yeti get's no time to get hits in, i just spam the quick jab button and it seems to work.

This showed up on my recommended 2 years later but I also had twin dragons and firefly escort in my top 3. I got cut it close with wack-a-mole but I got lucky so I never really considered it too annoying.

I discovered a charming glitch from doing the Lost Fleet skateboarding segment a million times. It sometimes doesn't count it as a lap when you pass the finish line. I thought I was imagining it at first, but it happened too often to not notice, especially because I was going for the skill point. I can't tell you how many times I was in good shape to get the record, only to have to restart because it decided that lap didn't count. I couldn't figure out a way around it, either; even leaving the level and coming back didn't help. I never had this problem in the original. I'm surprised such a major oversight made its way into Reignited.

Oh, and doing the same trick doesn't always give you the right amount of boost energy. There were times when I did a single or triple backflip, and it gave me zero boost for it.

My least-favorite is the Agent 9 challenge in Fireworks Factory, but I've only played it on PS1 and PS3, so I don't know if it's easier in Reignited or not.

I feel like it's roughly the same i didn't notice too much difference in the controls. I was not a big fan of that part either however do you know about the secret weapon in the first room on the ceiling? It does help a lot with that mission.

I recently just played through the game again and only had trouble with the last 3 on your list

You can cheese the hovercraft one by shooting around the urns. You just have to line up your shot perfectly from far away.

Those 2 regenerating dragons combined with reignited's awful flight controls is something else entirely... Also make speedways illegal

Yeah sometimes i can end up flying around for ages trying to get the last part of the twin dragons. They respawn health back so quickly as well. Glad it's not just me that finds the flying very slippery and less responsive in reignited. And don't worry i hate all speedway levels as well.

The wack a mole game can be beaten if you pull the control in the top screen view

Guide the Fireflies can be made easier by running down the course and destroying all the rocks, they don't respawn in Reignited. Mushrooms though are still a pain because sometimes your bounces just don't go far enough over and you slide off the lip when you groundpound. D: I've not even ATTEMPTED the Rocket Skateboard challenge yet, I still have flashbacks. x.x

Im happy im not the only one who felt like flying in the reignited trilogy felt off. Same with skateboarding. I. The ps1 version i loved both mechanics and used to replay skating segments all the time, but in reignited flying feels weird and the skateboarding physics feel way off and harder to control.

Bluto can be beaten pretty easily if you take your time and collect as many ammo as possible, and then go all out on him

I didn't have trouble with lost fleet skateboard here is a solution that you will never have trouble anymore you don't need to do tricks just smash the crabs and at the right at the end use a bit boost to jump there are you will get a big boost and you will beat the race easily

That is a good tactic. I think i mostly struggle with how the board controls in reiginited, it just seems off. Like making jumps is tougher and it will wipe out for no reason. I just like to show off and try do tricks :D

I beat all the egg challenges in Spyro Reignited Trilogy on Sony PS4 in about late 2018. I'd say the skateboard racing, boxing with yeti, clearing the path for the firefly, saving the pandas from baddies, hovercraft demolition, twin dragons, whack-a-mole and protecting the female polar bear named Nancy from ice hockey players are definitely the *HARDEST* egg challenges I've done in Spyro 3 and they are my most disliked egg challenges of all time too. They can be really irritating and frustrating. They may have been driving many players mad. Frankly, they can be still crap. As a kid, some egg challenges in the original version of Spyro 3 I never beat on Sony PS1 and I thought I found them way too hard but I eventually beat them all on Sony PS Vita in spring 2017. Anyway greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪

I recognized every level song used lol. The Spyro trilogy is my favorite game series of all time.

Bentlys boxing is actually extremely easy in the original. I quickly learned that spamming the jab attack with square will give you a flawless victory and skill point. Not sure if that trick works in the reignited trilogy.

It's even easier in reignited, the reason i put it in this list is that it's very tedious and too easy. It's just not a fun challenge.

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with number 1. Idc how many times I've beaten the trilogy over the decades, on every generation, original or Reignited, the whack a mole challenge is arse

I like doing the Twin Dragons Part and I managed to get all 149 dragon eggs and got to the Super Bonus World too

My number one is the same! I had an easier time at this on the PS1, but on Reignited this was an absolute nightmare!

I played previous two games for maximum percent.. but after last speedway in Spyro 3 which took me about 45 minutes.. I went to this chalenge and after 25 minutes.. I just give it up. Spyro 3 is the worst game from Spyro trilogy. It has bad level designs and even worst minigames. Most of minigames aren't about chalenge but about pure frustration.. and even if you are lucky there is allways some bug or something.. So I just tell myself I have only one nerves. Congratulations to everyone who made it.

Reignited changed skateboard physics, which made the board less fun in my opinion. It lost the tightness it had on PS1, similar to flying controls

I loved the skateboarding as well cause after we collected the egg, my brother and I would see who could score the most points. I always did and got the skill point.

All speedways are horrible Twin Dragons is maybe the hardest level, but it’s so classic Spyro and the theming is amazing!

Oh yeah for sure the speedways are the most frustrating and my least favourite part of the spyro games. I do really like the twin dragons fight even though it is really difficult.

My top 5: 5- The speedway races. Honestly once I get used to the layout they're not too hard for me to do. 4- The whack-a-mole. Still never did the mission to this day 3- Escort the Twins. Also never finished the mission to this day 2- Twin Dragons- I could finish it on the ps2 but I still have not finished the mission on Reignited. They move in really weird patterns and I always barely miss them. 1- The stupid underwater tunnels. I can eventually complete them, but it takes FOREVER because of the way Spyro turns, I have to turn way before i'm supposed to in order to narrowly miss obstacles and sometimes the controls just flat out won't register.

9:48 In this mission I just set fire to the hunter and he just disappeared and I didn't see him until the end of the mission and it was much easier I don't know if it's a bug

For the firefly escort, the first part was simple bc he just follows the stone pathway. The second part did suck tho. With whack a mole, here's a hack: You can double or triple hit the moles! After the first hit, their bodies fly off a bit and if you get there in time to whack them again, it counts it. Easiest way is to hit them into one of the walls so they don't go too far and then just fucking go to town and get as many hits in as you can.

not only is Whack-a-Mole super RNG, sometimes that blasted lil nuggets refuse to spawn. You'll be on the field looking around and no moles. Nothing. Zilp. I wish Reignited would get an update to fix the buggy skate mechanics and the spawn rate on WAM, because I don't want to replay the came with those two challenges haunting my immaculate 100% + Bonus

It is a shame that spyro year of the dragon on reignited was so buggy. It seems every time i play it there is a new bug. Including gems not appearing and sometimes in levels in end up with more gems than the total. The camera for sgt bird was never fixed. It shows that the game was really rushed.

6:24 it is possible to destroy all hovercrafts without leaving the starting area, it is kind of boring but it is possible.

Town square egg thief... oh you mean spyro 3 probably the water tunnel where you have to take out all of the gnorcs (I think they’re gnorcs) and of you miss one you have to start over.

Is my imagination/memory playing tricks on me, or did Lost Fleet have a totally different soundtrack in the original game? I played the PAL version growing up in sunny old England

Tiamat Storm I also grew up with the pal version in the uk. I believe the soundtrack for year of the dragon oh ps1 was different on different versions such as the greatest hits. Since this game is remaking the American version this was the soundtrack for the us version.

Yeah. The NTSC version was rushed, so Stewart Copeland had to re-use a few tracks. Some were actually better--they used Molten Crater's theme for Dino Mines, which I find far better--but others were worse. They decided to give us the *Sunrise Spring home world* music for the Sorceress fight. Yes, you read that right.

idk what you mean by “nobody skates anymore” cuz nearly everyone ages 12-19 that i’ve meat skates.

While Rocket Skateboarding sucks, I think the main problem is that on Reignited, it is the most broken part of the game. Sometimes, you’ll get stuck at 4th place position when you’re actually in first. Sometimes, the Rhynocs will get stuck in the ground. I beat Hunter because he glitched out on a crab and disappeared from Existence. Oh yeah, and it also cause the frame rate to drop to the speed of a sloth taking a fucking dump.

I had a harder time racing the biplanes

ORE THE ULTIMATE THOT SLAYER 69 The bi planes in country speedway are annoying. I only wanted to include one race. Even the butterflies are hard. I just struggled more against the boobies as I found it harder to hit the speed boosts.

Am I the only one who hated the Agent 9 mission in Fireworks Factory?

Man Bentley Boxing and Rocket Skateboarding were the worst for me on PS1!

I was 100% sure the super speed tunnel would be on this. The tunnel in RIT was much more narrow/tight than it was in the original game. I died *SO MANY FUCKING TIMES TO THAT STUPID TUNNEL!*

@@ClassicGamerX11 I saw as much but that's not the issue. It's the fact that even though it looks amazing, the tunnel is much narrower and more difficult not to send poor Spyro plowing into a wall when swimming

I think i did get pretty lucky as i have had a lot of problems with them in the past. I didn't actually notice the tunnel was more narrow.

That whack a mole sucked played it for ages struggled to do it I only Got lucky my game glitched out at the left rock and I was able to smash an infinite number of moles in the one spot

Haha the one time you don't mind Spyro 3 being a glitchy mess. But yeah i must have been stuck there about an hour eventually getting a lucky run.

I love the skateboarding

Hit the nail on the head.

The only three mini games I hate are the skateboard race, Sheila's escort mission , and the wacka mole game.

Slandering the skateboarding in this game should be a crime punishable by death

I didn't play the 3rd part of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, but I played the Classic version How about Agent 9's level from Dino World? This level is sooo annoying for me, I spent more times to get win. How about you, guys? Is this level very hard for you?

I hated the ice dancing one! It was so much easier in the ps1. And I hate the guiding tie fireflies!

I had the opposite experience where i used to find it much harder on ps1. It was one of those which i was stuck on for ages as a kid.

I did the twin dragons and it took me like an hour or 2

Ice Dancing was so much better in the Original... The reflections on the ice helped a lot and for some reason they had them on PS graphics but decided to spare them out on PS4... Why? Whack a Mole was also way better back then due to the camera ankle.

The whack a mole mission is my #1 worst to I hate this egg mission it took me like 30 times at least

I always hated the speedway levels. In all the 3 games

Mein bentlys boxing: *Spams all 4 buttons and wins + get akillpoint*

Skateboard race with the Rhynoc and Hunter aren't had a lot of fun with them.... the Final Race against Yeti on the Final Bonus Stage however, OH My God that was horrible.

That top 3 GAHHHH SO ANNOYING

Whack a mole and all the rocket skateboard races I hated

Race the Boobies wasn't even the hardest race, that'd be the final one of course. Also...Racing games have made me good at drifting, so I got the hang of the speed boosts pretty quick. Hovercraft Demolition was damn easy, thank you Steel Reign.

For me no1 comes is the agent9 mission in fireworks factory: you are doomed , you are still doomed and dino mines agent9 mission

Ah yes that level gave me so much anxiety and I was freaking out over everything they were coming left and right and I was screaming LOL.

Spyro 3 is by far the worst of the spyro original trilogy, I couldn't bring myself to 100% it and this video pretty much covers why. Every single time it decides to get rid of the original gameplay it's an agonisingly shit experience that you can't wait until it's over.

It is also my least favourite of the trilogy. When i want to play a spyro game i always go for the first game. It's so much more fun for me to playthrough.

Lost Fleet is my least favorite level in the trilogy as well

I past all the game except the races I just can't do it, I am stock in 97%
