One of the staples of the French HillClimb Championship, Abreschviller was filled with pretty much all of the great machines fighting for the Top spots, from the unique Group F Simcas, to the Alpine A110 GT4´s, the various GT3 Monsters and the V8 powered Beasts, be it the beautiful Volvo S60 and the dominant M3 E92. Here´s how they placed in the end:

A few years back I instructed in one of those at Circuit of the Americas. Bone stock except for a Billy Boat exhaust. Listening to the sound bounce off the wall running up the long straight never got old.

Mid engine, LS7 powered, DTM style widebody Volvo?!?! That is a frankenbeast of a build if I've ever seen one lol. And idk what it is about em but I really like the look of that RS01. I knew they are powered by R35 GT-R engines (VR38) & were initially built as a one make racing vehicle like the Clio Cup cars. Would love to get my hands on one.

Crazy car but more interesting it lost with 1.2l Simca ;) Even though Volvo has slightly better power-to-weight ratio.

That S60 is so bad ass!! And I love the RS01 too! I first found out about the RS01 thanks to Hot Wheels, lol.... they’ve always reminded me of a French R8...
That BMW is a monster, that sound!!!! Still amazed at how insanely fast and the sounds coming from the 1.2T and 1.4T. Keep it petrol people!!!

The figures you stated are already crazy, add this to the magistral lesson of hillclimb driving from Mr.Poissignon and you get this victory...against much more expensive cars.
I love the sound of a high revving V10 and that BMW V8 was howling.

only.just catching up to this video and idont.think I've ever heard a better v8 then.that gt2 and Judd v8s are amazing but at the very very end it almost as wa building the revs that cross plane engine noise at mid-high revs you get with yamaha r1 engines. I've replayed the BMW part so many times its soo short but so precious haha best car I've heard all year so far or if not top3 easily.!! but we need solo video haha
