Legend has it you have to be one of his sons in order to get the hardcovers....
That Kastell death is still one of the most shocking and unexpected deaths I have ever read but it sets up one of the greatest characters of all time and the greatest revenge story ever.

We completely agree! Hope you re-read it soon. Ed
It was so fun reliving this book with you both! So many great moments, and I might add in one of my favorites, where Corban meets puppy Storm for the first time and rescues him-just the start of such a great bond.

Thanks for watching Ben! Ah I love that scene, anything with Corban and Storm in, I’m happy! Ed
This was great.. thank you for doing this. I just finished Malice and I absolutely loved it.. I always like to listen to spoiler discussion when I finish a book, and I so often only find spoiler free reviews. So doing something like this vid was a great idea.. keep it up. Righto, getting stuck into Valour now..
I love this book/series so fucking much

Hell yeah Ed
Read the first two books of faithful and fallen and loving it so far, can’t wait for the rest. Also read the two bloodsworn books and loved them even more :D
Lord have mercy! This book hit me like a thunderbolt! The characters immediately captured me and transported me into their world. Maybe it’s not as polished as Mr Gwynne’s later work, but the heart shines strong. Can the publisher reprint these in Hardcover already? Been waiting for years now. The audiobook is excellent and not to be ignored. The narrator truly finds his way by the middle of book 2. I supplement my reading with audiobooks, and this one deserves a shout out. Devour this book and experience these moments if you haven’t already asap! TRUTH AND COURAGE PS: can we have any cryptic hints about Bloodsworn V3? Any crumb?
Absolutely loved hearing you guys gush about all your favourite moments! That said, you know a re-read is in order when some of these moments start feeling like spoilers, even though you have read and adored the series 🤣🤣My memory is terrible, but I am excited to dive back into one of my favourite series soon, I miss these characters!!

😂 hope you reread it soon! Ed
I haven't released Papa John on my aunt's and cousins yet. Im softening them up with Anthony Ryan and Abercrombie. I have to establish the jab for the older historical fiction folk. The Aunts sent me Peter Gibbons Blood and Blade Saga. I can't wait to unleash Bloodsworn and FaF
This series made me fall in love reading epic fantasy and probably reading in general. It'll always be special to me.

That’s amazing! We’ll let dad know 😊 Ed
Brina is one of my favourite characters and I love that you see her as Judi Dench, I will definitely be seeing that now as I read! I love Buddai and I was crying when he was protecting Thannon's body 😭 all moments with him and Storm just make me emotional. One of my favourite moments is when Storm is protecting Corban and kills Helfach in the end. There are so many amazing moments in Malice, it was great to hear your favourites (also you helped me with lots of name pronunciation with this video 😹)

@@thebrothersgwynne at least you know someone fairly knowledgable about the series to ask if you're pronouncing things correctly 🤣
I just finished omg💯 I think I like every moment where Storm or buddai are in the story 🐺🐶
I took a break after malice, but am picking up valor this month and needed a refresher. This was SUCH a great video you guys!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Took me about 6 months! But I finished it... and then the other 3... Agree with all the favorites and the honorable mentions too!
I freaking KNEW Garr rolling under the blade was a Last Of The Mohican reference! This was incredible! Malice, is such a compact and well written book that is relentless. Once it starts to hit, it just doesn’t stop. I’d have to say the duel at Badun, the entire second sequence from Tull’s last stand, to them finding Cywen and the Queen, Camlin switching sides. So much is going on in that sequence, it’s one of my all time favorites. I loved a lot of the Gadrai scenes in Forn, and of course the sac of Dun Carreg. Somehow it manages to rip my heart out and inspire me all at once. Thank you all for this.

@@thebrothersgwynne Oh, I love Last Of The Mohican. The book and movie are both fantastic. That was the first film where I really remember noticing how epic, and inspiring the soundtrack was. I was maybe 10 the first time I watched it. I’m a huge fan of all The Banished Lands series, and I can’t wait to start Bloodsworn. I really love your guys channels as well.
On my first read of the series, on Wrath right now, amazing journey!

Ooh, I did read this way back when it was first released. Pretty sure I read it's sequels too, tho I can't remember much due to time passed, plus reading tons of other books since then

Speaking of, I wanted to recommend Mark Adler's Son of the Morning to you guys. It's set during the 100 Years War in a world where angels, demons, devils, etc from biblical mythology actually exist in the material world, and will interfere in kingly affairs and wars. The angels are also the really weird, psychedelic types described in Revelations. It was really well written too, totally pulled me into the setting

Sounds awesome! Thanks for the rec. Ed
Yo, you have three copys of the shadow of the gods and hunger of the gods ?
Oh! Any part with Storm or Craff are in my top 10. I could swear that Mr. Gwynne said in a previous interview with the 2 of you that Craf reminds him of Ed. Interesting 😂 Is it Coh-wyn or ky-wyn or are both acceptable? Sorry. Ignorant American
