You do of course realize that none of the ding-bats featured here are real people...right? I mean even when they're not in front of the camera, they're acting. They're phony, superficial and shallow. Living in an alternate reality...right?

My favorite meet-cute is my own. I saw this really cute guy on the bus, and after a couple of months of catching eyes across the aisle, I got tired of waiting for him to ask me out, so I baked cookies for the other ladies at work, set aside the best looking one for him, put it in a baggie with an awkwardly long rambling note with my number at the end, made sure I caught the right bus, sat down next to him, basically slammed the baggie on his laptop bag, and buried my nose in a book so that I wouldn't have to look at him in case he showed disgust, annoyance or anything like that. 16 and a half months, now.

the "Romeo+Juliet" meet cute scene was super powerful thanks to the song playing...truly captures the total vulnerability and complete raw passions of young love.

The Notebook one is actually pretty creepy, thinking about it. If I were a girl, and a guy whom I'd never met before climbed up the ferris wheel that I was riding on and threatened to drop himself off it unless I went out with him, my first instinct would probably be to call the police. That sort of behaviour is far more indicative of a psychopath than a good would-be boyfriend.

Talk about 'misunderstanding'... It's not 'unrealistically good looking bookshop owner', ......it's 'unrealistically good looking' (Hugh Grant is often credited for this) book shop owner.

I like when Captain Von Trapp meets Maria in the movie "Sound of Music". I always thought it was rather funny...and cute.

This is one of the Best changes in the Live Action Cinderella comparing to the animation.

The notebook one is so not a meet cute. Nothing is cute about threatening your own life to go out with a girl and how it affects what'll happen after. A guy got into hospital for sleeping pills overdose and his family called me. He admitted to trying to kill himself after I said no to him several times. And now I'm afraid to say no so much to a guy and forced myself to consider them cuz I'm afraid of the same thing happening again. I can never truly get over what has happened and now I'm afraid of saying no directly to any guy.

It's not your fault so don't let yourself feel that way, I've seen an episode of "My Crazy Ex" where a guy purposely hurt himself just so he could see this nurse he was infatuated with. Nothing romantic about self harm and it's clearly a mental illness when they hurt themselves just to see you.

I think the meeting of Danielle and Henry in Everafter is more cute and funny than the new reboot of Cinderella. She sees him stealing a horse from her family's stables and throws apples at him to stop him, only coming to a halt in her reprimanding and apple throwing once she sees the royal seal on him. He then convinces her to keep quiet about seeing him, and gives her some money which she uses to buy back a fellow servant's life. And when they meet again, without him recognizing her all dressed up as she buys back her friend, he is impressed by her philosophizing and her boldness, helping her let the man go. It's awesome.

Wait. What about Jack and Rose in Titanic?

Ahhh I can’t believe they included Harold and Maude in this even if it was just an honorable mention! That’s one of my favorite movies ever!

I find it a lot more romantic when people slowly fall in love with each other overtime.

Good point. Some of the best love stories I've ever seen go like that. The guy and gal just start out as friends, prove their caringness for each other, and develop feelings as a result. Not every romance is a whirlwind one.

Ohhhh Jennifer Lopez RomComs. My favorite movie is Kill Bill, and most movies i like follow suit, but sometimes there is nothing more comforting than a JLo movie.

Jamie and Landon - a walk to remember Mocking her speech reveals he knows way too much about this girl he doesn't like. He also laughs along when she verbally defends herself against his friend's insults. Get a room, you two!

Correction: Jennifer Lopez's character doesn't pretend to be a socialite to impress the guy - she happens to be dressing up when he sees her, is attracted to and pursues her, and she goes along with the charade so as not to get into trouble and lose her job.

Uhhh Leo and Kate from Titanic should’ve at least been an honorable mention.

I love that my favorite romance, Before Sunrise, was mentioned. Such a witty, underrated movie.

actually, i like the Romeo and Juliet (1968) version. That dancing scene where they meet is a WAY better "meet cute" and when they finally spoke to each other they weren't even looking at each other. It was the cutest thing i saw when i first saw this movie in middle school one night while i was flipping through the channels.. Leo is really really.. really ridiculously good looking and Claire Danes is an absolute doll but c'mon. I didn't feel the chemistry as i did with Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey. LoL both Romeos played by a Leo.... HA!
