ToG will always be #1 in my heart, I remember the day I first discovered it back when batoto was translating it, I was in the middle of a break in between classes at college, read like 10 chapters and when it was time to go to class I said "fuck it" went home and binged the like 60 chapters that it had. A lot of my love for ToG comes from the extra tidbits of information that batoto used to put at the ends of the chapters with stuff like history of the tower, trivia about character, high ranker profiles, Q&A's, gossip, etc that came from the author's blog posts, it just made the world feel sooooo much more alive. TBATE has been close to detroning it but it's unfair since my love for it is mostly from the light novel (go read the light novel, now, NOW!).

Legend of the Northern blade has a lot of things that appeal mainly to those who have already been in the genre for a while. It does most of the tropes out there but it either makes them so much better than the others or changes them up. My biggest love of the story is that Jin Mu Won actually changes in appearance even after the initial transformation. As a child he was short and scrawny, then the initial transformation of growing taller, bulkier and a little older and in that chapter 120 area he actually starts to grow a beard and look more like his father, he does not stay perpetually 16, something that you rarely see in protagonists (usually so the audience can self insert easier) and while it may seem like a small thing to love, the little details like that are what elevates the feel of the story.

No, man, this was the second manhwa/manhua I ever read and I had no issues with figuring out the tropes. Basically, my friend talked me into reading SL and I liked the art, but I asked him to recommend something less dumb, so he instantly said Northern blade. I had no clue about any Murim tropes/clans, and I could follow everything perfectly fine. If anything, the exaggerated art style makes it a great introduction to the setting and makes into other, more "classical" Murim stuff easier (the guy with 6 swords and a Yin-Yang symbol on his forhead is from a Taoist swordfighting clan, makes sense).

i started reading mahwas for more than a year now and "The beginning after the end" was the ever first i read and till now is still my favourite

There is one manhwa i dont see mentioned at all, Hellper, it's totally different from everything you can find and if you get used to it's uniquness it's honestly the best thing you'd read by far. Huge recommendations

Omniscient reader's viewpoint(Peak plot) 6. I am the fated villain(Manipulative and evil mc) 7. Return of the crazy demon(peak comedy) 8. Magic emperor(manipulative and evil mc) 9. Wind breaker(highschool,sports) 10. The greatest estate developer (its peak comedy) Special mention: Be the actor It's a very underrated manhwa with around 60 chapters(ongoing) It's kinda slice of life Plot:Mc is the top actor in Korea but had a life full of regrets but is given a second chance to relive his life(regress to the past) It's kind of unique coz it's regression in a normal human society instead of dungeon or isekai A must read❤

TBATE is my second favorite ln series and favorite manhwa. If you like the LNs for TBATE I can't recommend mushoku tensei enough. The manga and anime have nothing on the novels

TBATE manhwa is honestly kinda meh, but if you ever decide to pick up the LN its literally so good that its been one of my favorite of all time since I've originally read it and ive kept up with it every week. The manhwa doesn't do it justice WHATSOEVER. TurtleMe's Writing style and lore building of the story is just nuts. I seriously recommend everyone give it a try. (I get that I'm being that evangelist that he talked about but its seriously true for real trust me LOL)

Nano machine is one of my most fav and also has read all the novel

Also TBATE, light novel is crazy. The manhwa hasn't gotten very far, though I love the art, the light novel is deep and still releasing chapters. It won't get boring at all

i agree with most of the list on the later parts but for me in the top you have to get hero killer its such a good manhwa slept on by a lot of people because of its female mc. if i had to describe it i would says its mha powers but you can also get stronger physically just by training i dont want to say too much but every characters powers are awesome example a man which uses smoke to make aquatic lifeforms. its so unique and well drawn you have to give it a read

If you mention anything over 100 chapters you cant leave out the progenitor, the goat of modern manhwa

i would definitely put in the list Real Man. Kinda different from the rest of the list, since it's has nothing to do with fantasy or martial arts, it's more about business but its quality is top tier.

You should read "Survival Story of A Sword King in A Fantasy World", I can't believe how underrated this series is. Everything is in there, bet you'll love reading it.

Yeah its got a great story, somewhat satisfying conclusion. Most likely the best story structure out of all the currently released manhwas. Its story would take second place though if they ever decided to make the LN "Shadow Slave" into a manhwa or some other form of media. Nothing comes even close story-quality-wise imho.

I'm dyslexic so its hard me to read a lot of things I normally stick to audible unless its something really good like the Dresden files so what's good about manhwa is how easy it is to read so I'm glad you made this list also hopefully when they get new artist Beginning after the end the art becomes good

It’s mostly just that Lookism is a bit of a blind spot for me, had trouble getting into it initially when I read it a long while back and never quite kept reading to the point where it grabbed me. Definitely need to give it another shot though

Oh my God! Finally someone who appreciates how good Northern Blade is!!!

The Beginning After The End the only frame of reference I have are the Light Novels which I have in audiobook(voiced excellently by Travis Baldree, same audiobook narrator for the Cradle series) and I very much enjoyed those books. I haven't checked out the Manhwa to see how it is but I may do that. And as an LN fan, yes; there are some truly insane events that happen within this series that are very well executed.

The audiobooks for The Beginning After the End are INSANELY good. I wouldn't have had time to read the light novels if not for them. I agree that the light novel gets SUPER dark and mature compared to its cliche beginning, and the art style was very childish. Really good, but childish compared to the gore and dark scenes as is described in the novel. Also, I can't believe you put Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint so low XD. It's my favorite of all time. Currently reading light novel, and so glad that the manwha is in the dark castle ark. Its so frickin good! Wait like ten more chapters for the manwha to reach the end of the dark castle ark, and it will be in top two

You can listen to them on audible but I found a website where you could download them for free however I think it’s been deleted as I can’t find the website any more. Would definitely recommend the audiobooks though, so good.

Infinite level up in murim is best for me only need upgrade the art 😂 overall 9/10... Btw can u make list for manhwa like " i become the tyrant of a defense game " and " i survive as a barbarian in the game " the type of manhwa when the enemy always get plot armor ? 😂. I need realistic and also fun story manhwa cuz in this time bored with op mc, the regresion and reincarnation thing and always can easily kill every enemy they fought but decide to play along 🤣. Sorry for my bad english nc video sir 🫡.

The only Manhwa that I red while also liking it is Windbreaker, Omniscient Reader,and Lookism

Another manwha I was hoping to see was Doom breaker/Survival story of suicidal battlegod. The story is unique and the art style is gorgeous. The fighting is also top notch. Give it a read if you like regression manwhas

beginning after the end is my favorite. its one of those manhwa ,that is more of a manga ,if you know what i mean. none of these manhwas can top this its best of the best. we actually have character development ,epic fights ,and some moments for yall down bad loners haha

Tower of god is Amazing but its painfull to keep up you really feel like you are going to break the more you read

Tower of God is an amazing manhwa, although I stopped reading it when it was on hiatus, same as God of High school. I love those manhwa but the long hiatus made me forget the whole plot, especially when the hiatus happened in the middle of the exciting part of the arc that time. Though, I'll still recommend Tower of God and God of High School. And thank you for these recommendations, mister! Most of the manhwas you mention are part of my reading list but lately I want to read manhwa that have hundreds of chapters and are still ongoing. I usually read manhwa that are martial arts genre. I also want to recommend Absolute Sword Sense, it has the same creator as Nano Machine; One Step to Being Dark Lord; Return of the Mount Hua Sect; Mookhyang; and Legend of Asura - Venom Dragon.

Legend of the Northern Blade was so good until the 3 year time skip (last 20-30 chapters or so). It felt like a total Game of Thrones moment where they spent 7 seasons of great action, drama and build up and then somehow decided it was a great idea to rush to the finish line. The last 30 or so chapters was like this in Northern Blade, where characters we spent all this time building up or anticipating just wrap together and get removed from the story.

Yes, I am 100% with, feels like we are sprinting to the end right now. In particular the the silent night has gone from intimidating opponent to pretty much wiped out in 20 chapters which is just a huge miss in my mind

Where is Murim Login? It starts out slow, but really stands out later on with its art and characters. One of the more unique manhwas I've read, its a fun blend of murim, mystery and gates type manhwas.

Vey nice video man, good work. For me it has to be Solo Leveling in the first place. Huge bonus points for it actually been finished! I have also read the light novels and am watching the anime. Besides that I really, really love the TBATE and just can't wait for the new chapters. Although the beginning was extremely similar to Mushoku Tensei, it eventually went it's own way. I like it quite a lot, plan to read the light novels asap. Right now I am reading Eleceed. I am eating through it. I love it and I just love the stupid simple humor ^^ I have also read the Northern Blade, Omniscient Reader and the Skeleton Soldier. Enjoyed them all but not on the level of the previously mentioned ones. I have only recently gotten into reading manhwa and this is pretty much all I have read so far. Looking forward to everything else I am about to read ^^

Please read the tbate light novels, they are amazing and the manwha doesn't do the books justice

I am just reading it today into 30 chapter but not quite like it..

im glad i found this video. i was looking for manhwa to read. Of this list i have read most of them except for chronicles, nano machine, great mage return after 4k years, and legend of northern blade. Im hoping one of these will get my interest. Eleceed i tried but like you mention it was boring for me so i stopped. since you recommend to try to get past the boring parts what chapter would that be on? im not trying to skip anything, but it would be nice to know.

It’s tough I’d say if after the world academy arc you’re still not into it you probably won’t. Don’t quite remember the chapter though maybe 40-50

I started TBATE cause of the hype around it, but early chaps i couldn't justify the hype around the manwha. The initial story felt like a rip off of mushoko tensei and i didn't see anything unique to it. Nevertheless stuck to the manwha and i must say it was the best decision i ever took, seeing how beautifully well written the story is and how intricate the power scaling is done. The artstyle has also become so beautiful, but the best thing about the manwha is the role played by the side characters, They aren't just basic fodder but hold true value to the story. Loved your content

TBATE is my all time favourite. I’m a sucker for the isekai genre and in my personal tastes, I found in TBATE the ultimate isekai.

correction, infinite leveling is the guy going through his third life he is a bullshit failure that the system is using for whatever reason, probably just for amusement in his second life he would've died to the japanese guy, so technically the system has saved him from a game over twice at this point, it removed pretty much all the stakes from the story because now it feels like he canonically has plot armor, the system is doing its god damn best to keep him alive

solo leveling tbate elecced are on top of my list they r jusst tooo good and dude the time u mentioned eleceed i just paused the video and then resume it after the like eleceed is one of the greate manhwa i ever read and the characters r the best there is a moment when we feel bore when there r just normal things happen but not with this one just a normal talk type sence shows every characters personality so nicely that i don't have words to describe it and yeah if u haven't already read the eleceed just go and read it is boring in the 1st as lokistur said but trust me it will become ur fav one after 6 or 8 chp the scale wil just go higher and higher and yeah there is character Kayden ur gonna love him or would i say simp over him he is like gojo of this manhwa but he is not like gojo too at some point of i hope u don't miss out this masterpiece

I just plowed through Dungeons and Artifacts. It was pretty good.
