Very rarely, only in case of kernel upgrade or version upgrade,
If we are not update kernal version ,any effect for application which are in prod?

Applications are not usually kernel version dependent Upgradation does not get impacted by kernel upgrade

@@ankireddy5483 security audit ;) Kernel version should be updated to the latest supported version confirmed by your security team and vendor support. It will reduce amount of vulnerabilities and should improve stability
