Ultimate Spider-Man is slept on it’s such a blast. I played it all the time back in the day and still have my copy for GameCube. Two licensed games I also played a lot were Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and The Haunted Mansion. Both of those are gems to me but excellent video.

This was a nice list and some of those titles I would have never considered picking up because of the licensed ganes stigma back then! Only 2 I've played were Spidey and Hulk but after watching this, I will have to look up for some more! Great video and keep up the good work!

This was a list I had a blast putting together, because it really let me showcase looking past that licensed games stigma, that there were some really quality titles of the bunch! Spider-Man 2 and Hulk Ultimate Destruction are really awesome games! Curious to hear which games interested you after seeing this! Glad you enjoyed the video!

Some great picks here! One of my personal favorites had to be one that showed up in the opening reel - star wars Jedi Knight jedi outcast and jedi academy. They were my first experiences playing as a jedi, and I got endless hours out of the multi-player modes. But I understand why you chose rogue leader, another great pick!

Thanks! I was torn between Jedi Knight II and Rogue Leader, and as far as overall package, I felt Rogue Leader was higher quality (as Jedi Knight II was pretty compressed on the GameCube, even though its still a great game). Glad you enjoyed the video! I do have an episode planned to cover all the Star Wars games on the GC, so Jedi Knight II will definitely get some dedicated time on the channel. 👍

Great video super well done and organized well! All these games may be before my personal gaming era although Hulk Ultimate Destruction I used to play on the PS2 and I definitely loved the feeling of being able to destroy everything!! 007 is a game I wish I played back in the day as James Bond was always my favorite type of movies. Very well done again this channel is coming together very nicely!!

Awesome list of games especially the top 6 👍👏👏👏. I brought my GameCube literally because of Rogue Leader, Rogue squadron 2 . I was blown away by how great the graphics were and the gameplay . I had previously owned the N64 and played every star wars game on that console . The GameCube just upped everything from the N64 a thousand times better imo and I really loved my N64. James bond Everything or nothing was outstanding but I also like Agent under fire and Night fire . If I had to pick my favourite it would be Nightfire as I used to multi play with my son back in the day . However , I had a blast playing Everything or Nothing as well . I think a GameCube is going ony Christmas list this year for sure . The best lil console box I ever owned and the games still look great even today . Brilliant video as always 😀👍

My father introduced me to Robotech and needless to say my enjoyment of Battlecry made me seek out other series that have giant mecha fights. Because giant mecha are awesome. Xbox had Mechassault, whereas the Gamecube and PS2 had Robotech.

I tend to stay away from most licensed games... but every now and then there's one I can't resist. I might enjoy Spawn simply because I know nothing about his as a character lol. I actually have Robotech: Battlecry for the PS2 and had no idea it was a licensed game... haven't played it yet either. I have the Simpson Hit and Run on the Xbox as my step dad randomly picked it up for me. I enjoyed it a little bit as a kid but haven't played it since. Out of all the obvious GameCube games I don't have, I don't have the Rouge Squadron... I really need to get it as I think I'd love it. Great list and video, buddy!

Many licensed games get a bad rep, but I actually miss licensed games being made for almost any movie/comic/TV show. Spawn I just posted a review for today, so feel free to check that one out! Robotech: Battlecry is a really good game that has some crazy difficulty spikes mid-game, but is such a fan-service to the original 80s cartoon. Simpsons Hit and Run is a great one that has probably one of the hardest final missions in a game lol. As for Rogue Squadron...I highly, HIGHLY recommend it. That was a launch day title for the system, and still to this day, blows my mind how they made the game look, sound, and play as phenomenal as it does. Thanks for checking out the video man!

I might be the only one but I really enjoyed my time with Batman Begins on the GameCube. For me, it's one of the best movie licensed games around and it looks amazing. Yes, the combat is a little shallow and it can be unforgiving at times but I love the mix of gadgets, stealth and intimidation. The voice acting is solid and the sound design is perfect.

@@GameCubeGalaxy Most Robotech games were inspired by Macross, since that's where the footage for season 1 came from. So, there's really a ton of games out there. Check out the SFC game for one of the best licensed games on that platform, if you haven't already. Also, the Dreamcast game,M3, has an amazing title song video, if you remember Max and Miriya? It's about their daughter, growing up to follow in their footsteps. It also makes war look awesome as hell, which is both missing the point of the franchise and deserves a better game.

Some of my favourite PS2 games are licensed games unavailable for Gamecube. The Thing, The Punisher, Scarface, The Godfather, and I'm one of the apparently very few that appreciated Reservoir Dogs (not the driving sections though, but the third person sections played as professional, not psychopath). On Gamecube, Def Jam games were also great, and Lord of the Rings the Third Age , that rpg game. I'm glad you chose Ultimate Spiderman over the more popular pick, and fully agree. If Tom Clancy is considered a license, Splinter Cell series (especially Chaos Theory) and Rainbow Six 3 also deserve a mention in my book. But I don't think they're based on any IP outside of video games... Licensed games have a bad reputation now, but there are still great ones being made, or at least made after "the golden age" that also gave them their bad reputation. Scott Pilgrim, South Park,... As always, I'm sure I'm forgetting some great ones that I'll almost feel bad for once I do remember that I forgot them. Also as always, quality video!

  • @GameCubeGalaxy

Those are some other great licensed games you mentioned as well! I never played Reservoir Dogs, but seems neat. Def Jam Vendetta is a blast, and I still need to play Fight for NY! The LotR games were great as well! I wasn’t sure if I would classify the Tom Clancy games as “licensed” in this video. However I am planning a video covering the Tom Clancy series of games on the GameCube! I am glad to see more licensed games being made again today, but I do still feel the 6th-generation was a golden era for them. Thank you so much for checking out the video! Glad you enjoyed it!!

@@GameCubeGalaxy I'm thinking what licensed games I recently played... A Narcos one, Peaky Blinders, John Wick, oh and I forgot to mention World War Z. There's more than I thought, and they range from not half bad to really good actually. Tom Clancy is quite an interesting license, bringing some superb games and some... not so much. I was first going to get an Xbox because I thought Splinter Cell was only on Xbox. Then I saw it was on Gamecube as well, where Zelda was, and so the Gamecube became my first home console before we even had a tv at home :D and all Nintendo systems after that.
