Liam Pritchard well, the original creators not always responsible for the most iconic things about their characters. It's not like with Mike Mignola or Neil Gaiman, who always create their own mythology and history for the characters. Stan Lee, for example, didn't gave to Stark his iconic personal conflict about him being part of industrial complex. Bill Mantlo wrote in 70's story called ''Vengeance in Vietnam'', which showcased him being ashamed for making weapons for war. Stan Lee created basis for the character, and then other writers that worked with the character gave their own spin and own ideas. As for his words about Downey Jr, I'm not going to say that he is wrong, but if you have ever read a Silver Age Iron Man comic, it's very obvious how different that Tony Stark from Downey Jr. Stan Lee's Tony Stark was pretty much humorless and he had very downbeat personality.

Yeah I'll admit that it was better than the 90s cartoon, which hardly anyone remembers. I liked the fact that he was a teenage Superhero like Spider-Man and Static Shock.

I love RDJ but I dont like him as Iron Man. He makes Tony a clever/funny guy while in the comics he is almost as serious as Bruce Wayne.

My favorite in comic Iron Man fact - he learned a valuable Judo Lesson from Taskmaster. Iron Man in the suit - was unable to stop Taskmaster from accomplishing his black ops mission to sabotage Stark industries. In a CQC confrontation, Taskmaster (with his bare hands) schooled Iron Man in Judo while making a chump out of him in the process - teaching him that with proper technique, superior opponents can be beaten.

Maybe now that Deadpool has rpoven that superhero adult movies do work, Disney will let make a serious movie about Tony's alcoholism problem. With a bit more of luck, when they make another Hulk movie, we will see about his abusive childhood.

Demon in a Bottle is the most iconic Iron man story arc. It deconstructed and reinvented the character and its effects are still being told every time Stark is in its lowest and starts considering drinking again.

Iron Man was actually left out as a playable character in the first "Marvel Vs. Capcom" game with War Machine taking his place until the sequels.

Black Panther is the richest superhero. His wealth DWARFS both Bruce and Tony's combined...

KH Gaming "purely earned"? Umm, last time I checked Tony was born into wealth as well as Bruce. Neither totally "earned" what they have. If anything, T'Challa did more to "earn" because he actually had to fight and earn the right to get his throne, meanwhile all Bruce and Tony had to do to get their fortunes was be born, meaning basically nothing. Fact of the matter is that T'Challa has the most wealth, period no matter how you slice it. Wealth is wealth an T'Challa is the wealthiest. Doesn't matter how, but he is.

After the Civil War storyline in 2006, the audience got really alienated with the character with his very questionable actions during the event. Ironically this same storyline is getting a cinematic adaptation and a comic book sequel 10 years later.

A movie focusing on Stark's alcoholism coupled with a bit of PTSD for Iron Man 3 would have made for a really good movie. Damn kids always getting in the way of good story telling.

No. I think kids, or at least the Main IM audience, would like the story and if you trust your kids on a mature story, they may like it. Disney is the one to blame. They are doing a fantastic job on adapting all the things they bought and i imagine they have to give them some limitations, but This was a really good storyline and im sad it wasn't made.

Tony isn't poor compared to T'Challa just less rich and besides T'Challa is a king he is rich because of the richness of his country and the fact that Wakanda is the only place in the world were you can find Vibranium which make it so value but the moment Wakanda is out of Vibranium or is found somewhere else the value of T'Challa will fall dramatically and Tony will be richer.

+Carlos Siguenza no, actually no. there when "Forbes" for example or any institution value something or someone they consider two fact actual money and I can't remember the term but your assets that increase your value so you can be rich and have 0 actual money but be full of properties and stocks and for that reason be the richest man in the world because if you decide to sell the value would be more that big. so yes T'Challa is rich but in actual money he isn't richer that Tony.

Black Panther is the richest character in the Marvel U, by a long shot (has 72 billion dollars more than Iron Man, give or take). Forbes was off, you guys fail again. Stark is constsntly pulling in revenue and it's all of his personal assets. BP has wealth in vibranium, but he can't sell it. Tony is still richer.
