Great shotlabs....but but but...why are these not available by using the insta360 studio software? Only using a smartphone is not that easy for many.

Hi Ben, I have a technical question to you. To use the shotlab it seems it is necessary to connect to the X3. Consequently the Wifi is used by this connectuion, then the shotlab needs an internet connection. As a consequence a lot of data are used on our data volume. Do you know a way to use shotlab effects on files we would have transferred to the mobile phone and/or use it without an internet connection?

I have the older X2… can I still use these effects in the app?

No worries- no these are just for reframing. Insta360 focuses solely on reframing features it seems.

@@BenClaremont If you're ever chatting to them - give 'em a nudge will ya :) (I'll do the same - perhaps others can too). Unless you think there's a technical reason none of these effects can be applied to VR applications? I would have thought things like the sky replacement could be quite cool in headset.

These look like great fun! However, I only have the ONE X. Will these work with it, ot would I need to upgrade? And if so, to what camera?

Great video Ben. These are real attention grabbing effects. I just began your 360 video course so this may be something thats covered in it that I have not gotten to yet. Is there a way to include some of the shot loab effects in the desktop app? Can I export the clip and then bring it into a video editor to add to reframed clips?

Hey glad to hear it- so not yet… so my workflow is to edit them on my phone, then airdrop the videos to my computer to edit in CapCut 😀

Interval is the only mode the shotlab effect will accept 👍🏻

There is no shotlab on desktop… at least yet. So the only ones you could do on desktop would be ones that you could manually keyframe, like nose mode.
