Honestly, I don’t think a 3D Mario maker would work. There’s a lot more that goes into creating a 3D level than a 2D level

Not necessarily. If Halo Forge is possible I don't see why a sandbox style Mario stage creator would be unrealistic.

bbenavidez925 don’t get me wrong, it’s certainly not a bad idea. Far from it, it’s a novel concept. But I think given how approachable Nintendo likes to make title like Mario Maker, making 3D levels, while great for those who’ve played more than their fair share, for a lot of people, building a 3D level may be more difficult. The idea of building levels with a Z-axis, the most basic of jumps across gaps, and even enemy placement is made more complex in 3D, rather than filling out a 2D obstacle course. I think we will see this idea in the future, but it just feels too out of reach for the time being.

I took a lot of time on the level design to make the level pleasant to go and coherent, respecting the spirit of the flying boats of SMB3 It's very gratifying to see your level in a top after so much time to prepare it ! Thank you again ! And thanks to Indy1988 to have commented it by saying that it's in your video (sorry if my english isn't perfect, I'm French :p)

I posted a level inspired by Super Meat Boy for speedruners Now I'm working on a more classic new level in the same spirit as the ghost ship but with another type of SMB3 level I think to put it online this weekend but I spend time thinking about the level design to make the level fun to play, so I'm not sure yet

im very exited to make my own super mario maker 2 levels hastag ull see a lot im gonna tell u some levels 1st is spider man into the spider verse which is based on the animated super hero film u get to play as spider man if ure mario and miles if your luigi as you face spider mans enemy 2nd is escape prison were youve been prisoned fur no reason but wait............... while ure in prison u realize thers a reason luigi was evil mario and his alies whole life and you need to escape and stop luigi once and for all 3rd is stop luigi once and for the sequel level to escape prison you explore the mushroom kindom as you try to u guessed it stop luigi once and for all

I have some levels I thought you might enjoy. 1. Grand Theft: Koopa City: 27X-PMT-FVF (puzzle, open world-ish, gta inspired) 2. Spooky Escape Room: BFM-VQ4-XXF (puzzle speed run, escape room inspired)

Super Mario Maker series is the *inhales* Dark Souls of level creation.

The end stage theme in Super Mario Bros 3 always brings me back to my childhood.

Yeah it's crazy this game came out and already amazing levels. The other day I saw a guy called Mairusu try a level called Table tennis or at least it had something to do with it, The mechanic was genius. Basically it used a Koopa shell (that is, the black shell that's like metal) and two bill blasters and bounce pads above them as a ball and rackets respectively and you have to try and get the shell to hit the on/off block in order to get to the door. And it did kinda function as a point system as well! Amazing!

Love it. Already made and uploaded 5 levels myself. Thanks for the inspiration to make many more:)

I love that you were using Luigi for the videos!

I enjoy watching players showcase their talents with this game.

I try to stay faithful to the Mario games as well as take the advice given in Tamamura Dojo's to heart. Unfortunately, the four levels I made so far haven't been played a single time and might seem unremarkable, but I try to pretend that they're lost levels from other classic games. I have Kamek's Ghost House (SMW), Poisoned Plumbing (SMB3), Bowser Jr.'s Air Fortress (SMB3), and Freezerburn Highway (SMW).

WOW MOJO! 😆LMAO... Now, I love your guys' videos... But hardly do you ever literally make me laugh out loud like I did when I heard #3 on this list being introduced!! NOW THAT was pure comedy gold, & I had to rewatch it atleast 5x!!! 👏BRAVO!!👏 😂😂😂

You cam make some really cool courses with clear pipes, I learned a few days ago that you can wall jump off of them right when you come out if it's to the left or right. Really cool mechanic to keep in mind.

The Yoshi Tax Fraud thing is a reference to SMG4 universe Yoshi who’s running gag is he never pays his taxes (and every attempt to get him to pay ends hilariously)

I didn’t really get lost. So that was good. I didn’t really like the dragged out bowser fight. I loved the idea and the creativity though. You should check out some of my other levels. That was mostly a troll level just me messing around. You’ll probably enjoy them

I made an old level on the original game called Goomba Town. The level consisted of standing on a moving platform and taking a tour through the Goomba Town. I remember there was a dog park (a big box filled with chain chomps) and an ice skating rink (a bunch of goombas in shoes on ice) and some houses had doghouses (a tiny house with a chained up chain chomp) and I made a level that was basically just a copy of another level I saw. You had to break a block, free the goombas, and get home.
