Top Image/Top Cow Comics : 1. Curse of Spawn 2. Spawn 3. Wetworks (Wildstorm not Image when Portacio was on it) 4. Darkness 5. Witchblade 6. Fathom. 7. Ascension 8. Spawn The Impaler 9. Cyberforce 10. Aria (the Christy Turlington lookalike not the Blond girl) boring but by far the best artwork of any Image comics. the rest of Image comics barely comes close to these

Good news, this year they’ve started making omnibuses! The first one is out now and collects issues 1-50

I’m so glad that Invincible is top 3. That’s the series that got me into comics actually. 10/10

East of West is amazing!!! Dragotta's art pops off the page and a perfect ending

One character I wish took off was Pitt. One of my favorites when it came out.

You mean, "Brit"? If so, I agree. Kirkman writes for characters of all ages and abilities. Also, Kirkman likes (or at least liked) to visit my local comic store and sign everything (well, his own books, and the ceiling, too), and I have several of them. I liked his _Battle Pope_ as well, that was his first work I read. I got to #30 or so of _Walking Dead_ then gave up when he said (in a letter column) we might never learn how it all began. _Invincible_ and several others I stuck with all the way, either paper or digital. 😍🤩😁

@@StaySqueezy12 -- Maybe that's the case. Robert Kirkman created a character named Brit (who was invulnerable and very strong, as was his baby son), and he and his family starred in his own comic. He also was a character in Kirkman comics featuring teams of heroes ("Guardians of the Globe" comes to mind). Lots of good comics to look for.

EoW is my jam!!! Top 3 comic in my collection. It’s a great read, great art, great story. I hope you enjoy it when you finally get to the Deluxe editions. 🥰

Your comments on invincible and Walking Dead are spot on. I stopped collecting for 25 years and picked up a walking dead TPB, then ended up geting the whole series along with invincible, that was about 5 years ago and i have not looked back, collecting like crazy now :)

I just finished TWD for the 2nd time as I finally just picked up the 4th omnibus. Such a great story. Start to finish. I started Invincible a few years back, so I need to go to that soon. Good list. Several I haven’t read, so I’ll save this list. Thanks for sharing!

The Walking Dead show is actually gotten really good again, the whisperer war arc was done better than the comics did and not being dragged out like season 8 did with the war with the saviors

@Tom The Fish yes and I'm very biased towards the comics being better but surprisingly the new show runner has done a really good job at making the whisperers actually being a menacing opponent. Also I think the shows version of Alpha and Beta are better than the comics. Makes me think Kirkman rushed through the whisperer comic arc a little bit but I still enjoyed the comic version

Chew is super underrated and Manifest Destiny is slowly reaching its way into my top 3.

Nice to see McFarlane/Spawn at #1. McFarlane on Amazing Spider-Man got me into comics at the end of the 80s and he's remained my all time favorite artist.

Spawn is my favorite character of all time! Love it! I read the first 30 issues of Saga and liked it ok, but it kind of lost me! I'm just getting into collecting Walking Dead books, but I read the first six trades back in the day and loved them!

Spawn at Number One. Absolutely Agree. Without Spawn's success, Images Comics wouldn't have survived past the 90s. Plus, the character definitely still holds up today. Look at all the excitement around him in the new Mortal Kombat game. And that is a VIDEO GAME APPEARANCE. :-) (Not a comic or TV but a video game.) I agree, Spawn is one of my favorite characters of all time also. Beyond that, Invincible is on there which is awesome! Great list!

I love Spawn. My friend had the entire run of Todd's first two years of Spawn collectible toys. He lost them in a divorce many moon's ago.

Some of the most classic superhero stuff should be better collected. Not everything was good, but that also applies to DC/Marvel. Savage Dragon, Shadowhawk, the Claremont Wildcats, the Alan Moore stuff that he did for Image.

Hey Gem, enjoying your kick ass videos as always! I’m mainly a marvel and dc reader since I’ve been reading comics (about 3-4 years now) but have just started on spawn. It’s a comic I always wanted to get into but just never got around to. I’ve managed to track down origins collection book 1 and am starting there. These are crazy hard to come by especially the collected omnibus editions like you have but I have to say I’m really enjoying the writing and as you said, the artwork is awesome! Cheers dude!

Great video! It was really hard for me to read the first 15 issues of spawn before the story started flowing better.

NICEEE i’m glad to see invincible made it on here, how do you feel about the invincible show??

Yeah Invincible was really mind blowing how we got the main character mark on his journey of being a hero. From his early days I'm trying to knowing about his dad being a super dealing with high school and just really doing a really great job of trying to find his own path. This really reminded me something level Spider-Man struggle but it did an interesting twist to make it uniquely its own thing. I definitely have it finished the series yet because I stopped at issue 120. Personal reasons But damn this series was as good as The Walking Dead for me. Robert was killing it with the superheroes

Another top 10 idea- thickest (can know even without having) or heaviest (can only weigh those you have) comic single book ever.

It's nice and little fustrateing how spawn is always artiscally changing but it's only comic that not leaving my stack.

As a kid my favourite comic book was Pitt. The artwork was something else entirely and for me it was Image's version of the hulk. Invincible is great too. Haven't red the rest with the exception of spawn and the walking dead.

Gem kill or be killed is a must read that book is one of the best reads I have ever read when it has come to a independent comic book I would love to hear your thoughts on that series.
