You missed one, 2000, Gladiator: "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son. Husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."

I might be missing out by never seeing the LOTR films but when I watched the clip of that quote Holy shit was it badass
Hmm, the kidnap telephone scene from *Taken* deserves an honorable mention. This needs to be a top 20 list.
"You shall not pass" should have easily been number 1. I can't recall any scene from the 2000s that has been as parodied and memed to death as that scene.

Why so serious?
Missed Honorable Mentions - "Are you not entertained?!" Gladiator - "I wish I knew how to quit you." Brokeback Mountain - "Is that my daughter in there?!" Mystic River - Bond standing up in the water in Casino Royale - Napoleon's dance in Napoleon Dynamite. - "I've had it with these mother fucking snakes on this mother fucking plane!" Snakes on a Plane. - "This is Sparta!" 300 - "I have the high ground!" Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
,,Why so serious" is one perfect villainous scene and a great joker moment
Personally, the first Spider-Man movie is my favorite of the trilogy (and probably my favorite Spider-Man movie in general) From the emotional death of Uncle Ben, to the cool fights with the Goblin and to the awesome song, Hero sung by Nickleback
The magic trick scene in The Dark Knight is one of the greatest scenes ever made. Also You shall not pass should have been much much higher
Shaun, Ed, and Liz fighting a zombified John while Don't Stop Me Now plays on the Jukebox is Iconic

At least honorable mention
‘Kill Bill: Volume 1’ is still one of my most favorite Hollywood movies of all time. Uma Thurman’s character the Bride against the Crazy 88 is my number one favorite fight scene in the entire movie.
2:35 “YOU SHALL NOT PASS!” My most favorite scene from ‘Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.’ 😃
Surely the interrogation scene is THE iconic one from the Dark Knight?
Just that change of expression in Christoph Waltz’s face in the interrogation is a masterpiece. Not many people could strike that fear without saying a word

He was charmingly terrifying the entire movie. Truly a genius
I love Brokeback Mountain's "I wish I knew how to quit you" scene. Ennis and Jack were such beautiful characters.
My favorite iconic scenes from the 2000s has to be the train fight scene from Spider-Man 2, Batman talking to Joker in The Dark Knight, the upside down kiss in Spider-Man and Tony Stark saying he's Iron Man at the end of Iron Man 😁

Marvel fan much ? 🥱
Seeing Live Action Optimus Prime transform for the first time gave me chills! Still does!
Arrival to earth from transformers should be on this list... regardless of what you think of bays transformers films seeing prime on the big screen for the first time with that score is just epic
by "Why so serious", you mean literally every single Joker scene in the Dark Knight
the coin toss scene was just a masterpiece .
The Dark Knight is by far the best superhero movie of all time, and my all time favorite
2002’s ‘Spider-Man’ is still one of my top 12 favorite non-MCU movies of all time. I am so excited to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’
Lost in Translation tops Lord of the Rings? You’re telling me the whisper is more ICONIC then Gandalf stopping the Balrog? Is this real life?
The opening scene from X2 was mind blowing, should have been a honourable mention. Also Gandalf should have been higher.
Kill Bill should be higher because of the amount of effort put into this scene
Gladiator “are you not entertained?” Brokeback Mountain “I wish I knew how to quit you” Iron Man “I am Iron Man” Also honorable mentions
Was looking for the return of the king scene: "My friends, you bow to no one" and everyone bowed...

10 of mine: "My name is gladiator."- Gladiator, Black light hockey rink - Running Scared, Boxing - Sherlock Holmes, Bamboo forest - House of Flying Daggers, "I am a golden god." Almost Famous, In front of everybody - American Gangster, Stealing the Interceptor - Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, "That's a wound." - Gangs of New York, Club Silencio - Mulholland Drive, Obi-Wan vs Anakin - Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
The 2000s were a really special time for movies.
Completely agreed!! On the edge 1990's and 2000's, Bicentennial Man (1999) had historically epic scenes.
My List 1. Spidey and the Runaway Train 2. Bat Interigattion Joke 3. "You should Not Pass" 4. Coin Toss 5. the FarmHouse 6. the Whisper 7. "Are you Not Entertain" 8. THIS IS SPARTA!!! 9. "I am Iron-Man 10. the Crazy 88
Yes the upside down kiss from Spiderman!! Literally what I came here for, to make sure it made the list lmao 🤣
I think mean girls deserves its own top 10 iconic moments 🤷
The most iconic movie scenes are the whole LotR triology
One of your better lists. Good job watchmojo. You "Called It"😆❤️
Joker (played by the famous Heath Ledger): “Why so serious? He comes at me with the knife. Why so serious? He sticks the blade in my mouth. Let’s put a smile on that face. And…. Why so serious?”
Wooow awesome video . really liked your channel
The first two spider man movies have iconic scenes that scene in the alley in the first one was iconic the most iconic scene from 2 is the train scene
The coin toss scene in *No Country For Old Men* was definitely spine chilling. Glad it made to the top of the list.
I'd have Training Day's KING KONG scene, Taken's phonecall scene, Gladiator when Maximus introduces himself,
The whole ending sequence in Requiem For A Dream.
Children Of Men is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. ❤️❤️❤️
Great list!
You forgot one scene, the introduction to the Autobots in "Transformers".
Since it's October. Watchmojo do top ten iconic horror movie scenes from the 80s, 90s, 00s and 2010s
I knew a moment from the Spider-Man trilogy would be on the list, but I thought it would be the train sequence. Good choice though.
That's so kind of you guys to add that whisper scene from Lost in Translation. Beautiful movie!
Should have done a Top 20, because there are so many other great movie moments from the 2000s.
While "You shall not pass" is a legend of a scene. The ride of the rohirrim is equally as imaginable on that place.
I seriously thought Watchmojo was going to give I am Iron Man the 1st place... But damn they stayed true to the thumbnail.
Gonna need one for every decade now.
The movie with Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess "One Day" the scene toward the end when he's walking away leaving and then just when I thought "ohhh nooo please let her catch up to him" then all of a sudden you hear her calling his name as she's running down the stairs towards him 😍🥰🥲❤️❤️❤️
The times of my childhood, the best times ever for me to live, i want to go back 😢 Los tiempos de mi niñez, los mejores tiempos que he vivido, quiero volver 😢
hi I'm early, love you guys
The end of “The Departed” where everyone gets shot, the end of “Training Day” where Denzel Washington let’s everyone know King Kong ain’t got shit on him, the opening scene with Nightcrawler in “X-2: X-Men United,” “Gladiator” where we’re asked if we’re entertained, the waxing scene in “40 Year Old Virgin,” and the final rap battle in “8 Mile” deserved honorable mentions at least
They could not have picked a better actor in the entire than Ian McKellen. He is the perfect Gandalf in every way shape and form.
Which one of these iconic scenes is exciting and worth re-watching again and again?
i agree with your picks
Got to be very hard to make a list that pleases all but this one? Phew!
Wow. How the actors accepted their roles for The Abyss with all the underwater certifications and risks is crazy. I loved the movie. Had no idea the real conditions the actors and crew endured to make the film. Now I must watch again to appreciate even more.
Well done
#7 The reason why this film is my absolute favorite among it's franchise!!! ✊😄
Good video
Health ledger definitely top 5
I was so hoping the Bride vs. The crazy 88s was gonna be on the list but doesn't deserve to be at number 10! :O
A few I would have as mentioned; The battle of Helms Deep. Spider-man stops the train. I am Iron Man. Wolverine roars out of the adamantium tank. Austin Powers vs mini me. I'm Batman. King Kong vs Tyrannosaurus. Snape kills Dumbledore. I drink your milkshake! Terry Crews sings A Thousand Miles. Freddy Krueger's head winks at the camera. 007 construction site chase/Poker game from Casino Royale. Rocky Balboa training scene. And so many more.
I feel like Castaway, The Green Mile, and Gladiator all had deserving moments. Tough to pick from a decade of movies to put in a Top 10 tho.
No scene from "The Departed"?? The finale is so memorable
"I am McLovin" deserves to be on this list
Watch mojo is a good channel 👌👍😀
When you realize that Landa knew the entire time they were hiding under the floor...
#1 2000's movie scene: where matt damon and fiona sang scotty doesn't know in front of scotty in eurotrip. Scotty's like whatever man.

I'm surprised that I AM IRON MAN wasn't included
Christoph waltz... Your Hans Landa (nice word play btw) makes me dance 🩰
Napoleon Dynamite's dance scene should've been mentioned somewhere in this video!
Urrrrrgh I haven’t seen Eternal Sunshine in over 10 years but I’m gonna have to watch it again.. 😭
The Baptism is my favorite scene ever. You described it as a reminder that Daniel Plainview was still human. I believe it showed how unhuman and robotic he was, by his last phrase of the scene being “there’s a pipeline”.
I would pick the first 20 minutes of Gangs of New York! It is brutal!
The speech of Maximus in the Gladiator
How do y’all not include the first time we see Opitimus and the autobots transform when they landed? I still get chills till this day. So many misses here. This should’ve been a top 20 list.
Him: YOU SHALL NOT PAAAASSSS!!!!! Me: okay! I'll go another way! Calm down dude, sheesh
Agreed! Animated movies definitely deserve a list on their own! Excited for that list ☺️
Now where's the Top 10 most Iconic movie scene moments of the 2010s
Jack sparrows iconic entrance in the first film
Good list tho
Personally, the ending scene of the Patriot where the now free black man tells Benjamin " Gabriel said if we won the war, we could build a whole new word, we just figured we'd get started with your new home."
I had it in my head that you’d choose the coin toss for number 1 but I didn’t actually think you were gonna do it lmao
People talking about the 2000s like its some golden decade of film, but literally every decade has 100s of incredible performances
Lol awesome stuff
The Joker is my all time favorite film villain and it’s not close
I've seen at least three of these: why so serious, upside down kiss, you shall not pass and two from the honorable mentions the Nick Fury scene and mean Girls jingle Bell Rock dance
The joker: "This comment section, why so serious?"
THIS IS SPARTA!!!
Can you do comic book origin of Marvel's Ultimo?
“You see I’m not a monster, I’m just ahead of the curb.” The Dark Knight is still a awesome movie.
As awesome as the dumbledore voldemort fight was, I expected yer a wizard harry to be on the list instead 😳😲
Would you like Watchmojo channel made an episode about the newest Asterix animated movies? It could be named "The Mansions of the Gods" (2014) vs. "The Secret of the Magic Potion" (2018). Which movie is better?" Its categories would be: 1. Main characters 2. New side characters 3. Villains 4. Humour 5. Action scenes. What do you think about this idea ?
