Yes. I really thought that when this happened, he would be like in a cloud and Charlotte would be there, say she loves him, but it's not his time yet, and then "Clear!" and the EMT's have revived him. Broke my heart, his death did. I hope that story arc is resolved in season 6.

Yes, I learned to love Dan and his bromance w Lucifer and got over his seriously douchey season 4 backslide & even, when putting together lists of 5 fav characters & 5 least fav, had him on my 5 fav (Lucifer, Chloe, Trixie, Ella, Linda) when Lucifer himself was not included, being far far above the others. [I won’t get into why Amenadiel wasn’t put there except to say that bc he is, in fact, an Angel, the fact that he attempted numerous times to actually kill Lucifer whereas “corrupt cop” Dan felt that that was going a step too far, even when he was not a fan of Lucifer’s and felt he was taking Chloe out of his life, made me feel that he was a slightly better individual overall.] However, there’s a dif bet really liking a character and believing that character deserves a place in Heaven. Most esp’ly bc of the bizarre way Heaven and Hell work in the series (basing it completely on ones own guilt, wherein the most moral of ppl are the most likely to feel guilty over the smallest infractions. IMPO.) But anyhoo- Dan was indeed a corrupt cop, leading Chloe to spend a year of her life unsure of what she saw on the Palmetto case; becoming a piranha at work & making her the most vilified cop on the job. Also, as they mention, he was not making time for Chloe and Trixie and wasn’t putting in the time needed for a marriage to work.*** Bc the show didn’t want Dan in jail, they had him get a demotion instead, & like I said, I liked his character, but he was willing to sell out Chloes father-killer to the Russian mob, and while he wouldn’t have done so knowing the mob boss he went to was a vicious killer himself, he went to give Lucifer’s name to a highly dangerous thug, on the hope that - what? - Lucifer too would end up paralyzed and in a body cast? Yes, Dan was grieving but that was more than “a bit much”. The thing is, it’s difficult to distinguish what Dan does from the “punishments” given out by the devil (altho most of them are psychological - unless Maze is involved - and there is a sense [at least by me] that the Devil is SUPPOSED to punish ppl for their evil deeds. Or, at the very least, to help the guilty punish themselves for their misdeeds on Earth. But others are not supposed to take on this task. And as the show develops, Lucifer becomes less of a punisher, ultimately leading to his giving Michael a second chance after literally killing the love of his life. But, anyway, while everybody wonders why Dan is not in Heaven, think about the numerous things Dan has to feel guilty about - and while he may work thru them and make his way to Heaven like Mr SaidOut Bitch, he does have a lot of work to do. ***Keeping in mind that Lucifer has tons of work to do to make himself a good family man. I totally and completely adore him, but he’s not father material (as seen on the show, which is problematic, as God appears to be a job for a Father figure) and he has yet to show he can make the right work/home split for things to be okay w Chloe and Trixie. OTOH, being an Angel, they appear to be judged on a separate scale than human beings, as far as I can tell.

Fun fact: the first Ella hug was improvised by Aimee. Also, in the scene where Ella hits "Lucifer" with her shoe, Aimee accidentally hit Tom so hard that it left bruises on his chest.

Oh my god 😂 (to both of those) I do find it funny when actors admit to accidentally injuring others or pieces of set, I don't know why 😂 Lesley-Ann (Maze) has said she's broken various bits of Lux with her knives over the seasons. Tbh, my favourite is comedian Russell Howard breaking his hand after trying to do press-ups on a breakable stool. 🤦‍♀️ (do watch it if you like comedy)

@@India.H Oh I have a bunch of fun facts about Lucifer xD. I can't remember the ep, I think it was in S2 or S3, but a yoga instructor got murdered and Ella was recreating the murder with Lucifer and Chloe. That entire scene was directed by Lauren, and when Aimee got on her knees in front of Tom to imitate the murder he put his hand on her hand without even realizing it until after xD. Also, there is a scene between Lucifer and Chloe where he boops her nose (again, can't remember the specific ep lol). That was improvised by Lauren and Tom (he also improvised the "oh my Me!" line at the end of 516). They also giggled a lot while filming the end of 506. The "penetration" line in "Vegas With Some Radish" was also improvised by Tom, thus Chloe's laughter is Lauren's actual reaction.

Yes, making everything about him. Chloe gets annoyed sometimes but after she finds and accepts him as Lucifer she lets him. I always feel bad that he is just trying to understand why his dad and things happen to him

Aw.... at the end, you left out the part where Charlotte aka the Goddess, also visited Dr. Linda and took away the wrong message. Linda stating, "Now I see the resemblance." was pure gold.

I would love a reel of just Lucifer saying "How dare you?!" The way he acts when he gets offended is hilarious!

My favorite "Detective Douche" moments were in seasons 4 and 5. In season 4, the conversation between Luci and Eve: "That's Dan. He's a douche again." "Oh, should we punish him?" "No, believe me, his existence is punishment enough." And then in season 5, in the 1940s episode: "There should be a word for people like you. Like a shower.... but in French."

Mister Said Out Bitch better be in the final season's premier. Oh, and I like how he eventually made his way into a finale episode.

Mr Said Out Bitch had the best redemption arc. From being a robber, running away from the police in the desert, Lucifer giving him money, getting killed, going to hell, finding the root of his guilt, eventually stopped feeling guilty, then went to heaven.

Other honourable mentions: - Lucifer being a man child the entire episode or season esp. When him getting high involved. - sexual innuendos, pickup lines, puns and jokes - Lucifer's naked scenes - chloes' annoyance reaction (doing "I'm so done" gesture) with Lucifer's BS. (This should be the top 1 running gag apparently)

Chloe has the best eye rolls I´ve seen in a long time...

Notice how all celestials react to Ella's hugs as if she were a disease, except for God. He sees her coming, holds open is arms and picks her right up off the ground. Very touching.

Everyone takes the wrong message from Linda's therapy, not just Lucifer.

Amenadiel doing anything “human” is my absolute favorite. He’s such a perfect example of the “straight man” character archetype.

Seperately, Trixie and Maze have the second-greatest running gags from my viewpoint. but whenever they're combined, ohboy.... that stuff just makes my year.

I loved how God was the only character superenthusiastic with Ella's hug, and how Dan's got a pudding on the final episode XD

I think that Trixie's penchant for blackmail and gambling is why Lucifer has a soft spot for her. He sees a tiny bit of himself there. On Dan's nickname, the upside is that every once in a while, Lucifer gives him a knighthood. (6/9/2021)

Ella's T-shirt collection. I don't think any have been repeated, but they do stay the same for each "day". Good continuity check there.

I've been worried for the past season or two that Ella is going to be the one character that cannot accept Lucifer as the devil. As arguably the sweetest character, it's something to fear (as she is also the most religious). Man, the heartbreak would be real.

I am more worried that the writers will make it that Ella never finds out. You do make a valid point here but part of me thinks the writers will take the easy way out and never have Ella find out. I would like the clarify that's not what I want to happen. In truth I am upset that it's entering the final season of the show nest season and some main characters still don't know the truth about Lucifer.

I know it's not really a gag, but they should include how everytime Ella almost finds out about Lucifer. She always says to come clean with her and then just when he's about too Ella says something completely different than what he thought.

Seeing Dan in that *NSYNC shirt breaks my heart now. 😢

I expected the connection Lucifer makes every case with his own current problems to be on this list. When Lucifer has a problem on that episode, he projects these onto the case and makes it all about him, also making false assumptions and he always gets dissappointed when he finds out he is wrong. I hope it's clear what I'm trying to say here :D

When Charlotte Died it was because the world rejected Mother Nature because I am too kind and forgiving , they assumed it was fake and that I didn’t care, instead of understanding I love everyone so I treat everyone fairly but no one trusts Love so I hide from the world as y’all bash me and pray when GODs only job is to live and be happy so that the sun may continue to create life for all that exists and bring to life all that needs to be resurrected . But have a great day, sorry your life sucks to the point where you think I need to take accountability for the shit you do when you have a soul or do you yet? I guess we’ll find out.

No 1 is the best. But it's just not Lucifer but literally everyone misinterprets Linda's advice. This is one thing I was always found hilarious 🤣 N even dear Ella and her quirks jokes and hugs

"Despite every thing towards the end " Dectective Douche " became more affectionate and less mocking .

It's one of my favorite shows of all time.. I like it so much that I'm currently watching it for the second time lol I've learned some life lessons from it, it's inspiring ✨ can't wait for season 6 🙌

I've watched every season again, at the end of the season - and then started with season one, watching all of them in one sitting. Then, I've done it again. So I've seen the entire show at least 7 or 8 times. I LOVE this show!!! If I could think of a way to convince them to make and air at least 5 more seasons, I would be the happiest of women!!

As much as I love all the characters, but as much of a pushover he became. I would say Dan is possibly my favorite human character. He goes through the largest growth and is always trying to better himself. He goes through so much, and gets screwed over even by his friends at times. However he will always have their backs. I feel for him the most. Not that the other characters aren't amazing, I just found him to be the most human and all around great character. Probably the most fun to play too. There is always something new. Is he a jerk? Is he a whimp? Or,is he the best friend a person could want?

I love Ella.🙂Wonderful running Gags.

When they did the I'm the devil gag on the flash it didn't really feel very fun because John already knew the truth, Mia didn't give a fuck, she just wanted her dad back, and Dig was so confused he'd have believed anything at that point.

DOUCHECAM!!!!!!!!! Just the innocence with which Lucifer does it. He doesn't hate Dan but he sure loves making fun of him.
