He was corrupted by the ring and turned into the paranoid multi-personality creature he is. He actually just wanted to get the thing he loved and worshiped back. You just don't sympathize with him because you find him ugly

Sloth is actually a lot easier than a few others, because you can confuse Pride with Envy and what not. Sloth just has to be someone who will only act when forced to.

It's more of a Shakespearean story, in which the hero turns into the villain. However, he still has his general code of ethics. No women, children or innocents getting hurt.

Well, considering that it was made in 1964, Goldfinger's laser was pretty high tech for the time. Besides, the speed of the laser is irrelevant, as Bond didn't actually manage to escape. He only survived by talking his way out of the situation.

Lex isn't motivated by greed, he just happens to be successful and rich, his motivation is revenge and ego far more than greed.

Tony Montana is a "villain protagonist", like Hannibal Lector. (Believe me, this kind of character occurs more often than you may think.)

I think that's where J.K. Rowing got the name Harry Potter from. Harry (George's brother) James (as in Stewart, who played George Bailey) and Potter, the primary villain of the film. If it's not where she got the name from, it's one odd coincidence.
