He is also one of the few, if not the only ranger, to have gone toe to toe against the main villain UNMORPHED and yet still be able to fight to a draw, and in fact went through the whole series without needing any extra power ups - RJ was truly a gem

Same, grew up with the originals and lost my intrest. When i was 14 i was sick at home for 3 months, and it was right then they start with Dino Thunder. And when Tommy became the black ranger i lost my freaking mind XD

Tommy has had more screen time than any other character on this show, and his best moment will always be that scene in Dino Thunder where he defends his 90s haircut to Kira

Dino charge's Keeper is a personal favorite mentor of mine, and I mean that "as a mentor". There isn't a lot of about his character but there are some things that stand out, he gives rangers advice when needed very well, a good example is in the tooth hurts when he tried to convince Riley that he and Chase are more similar than meets the eye by both telling, and showing him that, and I quote "two paths can lead to the same destination".Not to mention he isn't afraid to step into battle to get the rangers out of a tight spot including a megazord battle with he's own zord(He has his own zord and isn't a power ranger, unfortunately).

I will agree with you on Udonna. But Circuit was just kinda there, didn't really offer any mentor-like advice. Shayla's entire purpose was to get kidnapped constantly and have drama with Merrick. Sensei Watanabe gave really bad advice to his Rangers.

To be honest, circuit kinda annoyed me... proncess shayla just got kidnapped, and even tho I liked ninja storm, sensei was kinda bad at giving advice or helping in any way... i agree with u about udonna tho, daggeron (mystic force) was also an amazing mentor

I had alpha on the list under zordon, and. Kruger over rj. But very close list

It's crazy because the Mighty Morphin rangers weren't all that “overbearing”. They actually had pretty clear motivations.

Kruger and RJ are number 1 & 2 in either order, both have great backstories and both have huge character growth especially when Kruger doesn’t kill the man who genocided his entire race, and RJ just reminds me of the 11th doctor which was one of the best.

I think that Tommy is Amazing, and He's also one of my Favorite Power Ranger, Because First He Became The Green Power Ranger, Then The White Power Ranger, Then The Red Power Ranger, Then Last But Not Least......(Drum Rolls)...The Black Power Ranger, Also I was surprised that Princess Shayla (Power Rangers Wild Force) wasn't in the Top Ten Power Ranger Mentors Of All Time, What's Up With That?, Because In My Opinion She's Way Better Then All The Other Power Ranger Mentors Before and After Her, and She's also So Beautiful and Lovely too, Also Red Bot (Power Rangers Ninja Steel/Super Ninja Steel), Is Way Better Then Alpha 5 (Mighty Morphing Power Rangers).

RJ and cruger are both cool and actually serve as a mentor in not just advising but also training just now realized both are having these dog stuff going on

One of my favorite mentors is Keeper from Power Rangers Dino charge. Yes, there is not a lot known about his past, but he does have an interesting present, giving advice to the rangers when they needed it and even getting into battle a few times to help the them whenever they were in a jam. Plus he has his own zord (the spino zord to be precise) and even fought along side the rangers in a megazord battle, even though he's not a ranger(unfortunately). Keeper isn't seen for long in the episodes(then again he does have a handy vanishing act), but when he does show up he makes it count.

OMG I remember RJ. He was my favourite Mentor tbh. But I totally forgot about Dino Charge that's another one I've seen. I remember because I actually had a slight crush on Shelby. So that's Jungle Fury, Samurai and Super Samurai, Dino Thunder, I think I've seen S.P.D(Although I vaguely remember Anubis), Dino Charge and a little bit of Time Force. If I miss any other iteration, I blame it on there being so many to keep track of

Spencer was the saving grace of Overdrive. The best character, and probably the only good one of that season.

We should all be fortunate that Gosei is not on the list.

Seeing Tommy on the list as a mentor speaks volumes, but Dr. K seems more grounded yet intelligent and her backstory is definitely hard to unsee. But she's got guts!

Out of all of the mentors, I'm gonna mention a few that I actually think are good mentors & that's Zordon, Sensei (Ninja Storm) Tommy, Doggie, RJ & Mick. There's more, but I picked these ones because I feel like they're not just mentors, but they're also a part of the Rangers family because as well as guiding + teaching the Rangers, they also help the Rangers by giving them advice, yes they don't give out the answers to the questions but that's a good thing because by advising the Rangers, they (Rangers) can find the answers theirselves.

Doggie and Captain Mitchel are the best mentors hands down. You can take those characters and translate them to any other franchise and they would still be great.

Technically, Mick Kanic will also appear in Dino fury. Hopefully in next weeks episode. Hey, the plot summary talks about one of the Rangers going headfirst in the battle. That, and also teamwork lessons. Mick would be a great choice to reinforce those teamwork lessons.

I loved that season a whole lot, too. The green ranger had been my favorite since Tommy, and I really enjoyed Bridge, since he reminded me of myself. But I also couldn't help but crush on Z and Syd.

I really wish keeper from Dino charge was on this list, he was great!

I agree, Dr. K is pretty good as the number 1. Although I'm surprised that the Princess from Wild Force wasn't counted.

Can you believe Kendall, Cruger, and RJ get to appear as playable characters in Power Rangers: Legacy Wars? At least Cruger also appeared in Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid as a DLC character. It's disappointing Udonna from Power Rangers Mystic Force didn't appear on the list. She appeared as a playable character in Legacy Wars and Battle for the Grid.

Anything Power Ranger related is a definite watch!!!

Because he was barely in the season where he was a mentor (I think due to moving production to New Zealand when he couldn't move because of family (I think his wife was pregnant)) so he didn't get as much character development as he could have in that season.

Bryan, barely? out of suit he was present for 25 episodes out of 38 and even stuck in his ranger suit he was still present and jdf still voiced him. technically he only missed 2 episodes.

After Boom wanted to be a ranger his whole life in SPD it’s actually touching that his actor got to be one in Ninja Steel even if I don’t like the newer seasons

I’m just happy that my favourite Power Rangers series mentors are on this list, I love every single mentor mentioned in this video. The TV series I grew up with, oops, I am still watching it, and I am getting too old.

Zordon is always the best and longest running mentor. He deserves the top spot.

dante v no, he just isn’t. Zordon had no development and didn’t have the heart or importance as some of the other great mentors.

@@shzin8346 The show was never about the mentor, it was about the rangers. Zordon lasted the longest, made the biggest sacrifice, and made the show exist. He's the best and there's no contest about it.

i Hoping for Power Ranger: Mystic

I wouldn't call Kendall Morgan a great Power Ranger Mentor when she mean girl Shelby a lot and being rude/dismissive. A good man to always shows respect, kindness and give good guidance whenever needed.

Boom finally getting to be a ranger was the best moment ever.

There should have been honorable mentions for Princess Shayla, Sensei Watanabe, Udonna, Mentor Ji, Gosei, and Commander Shaw.

Really, with the way she treated Shelby in the first few episodes I wouldn't even give her an honorable mention. That's not quality mentor behavior IMHO.

So no place for Sensei or Sam from Ninja Storm...

I've got to admit movie Zordon was the one part of that film BETTER than I expected. Of course, Bryan Cranston probably helped with that

I have several things to say about this video. 1. I see Spencer and Kendall as more like assistants than mentors 2. Why isn't Zordon (TV show) number one? 3. My favorite Ranger/Mentor is Tommy 4. Hal from Malcolm in the Middle should never have played Zordon.
