What always pissed me off. Is the douche boss never got his comeuppance. Like ran over rny a bus or fatally mauled by a alligator. Now I'm the first to say Ross is deserving of everything he gets. But not by some genuinely awful person who read a not saying "it's my food" and said "but I'm hungry and didn't bring lunch". There's just no way that's okay

Ross is definitely the funniest character from mid season of the series onwards. He steals the show so many times. I do love Chandler in the earlier seasons when he was more neurotic and had some good scenes like the chewing gum one though.

Phoebe singing along to Ross’ bagpipes looked like it was completely improv-ed and the cast looked genuinely surprised 😂.

Ross by far has the best and most iconic scenes in the series which is why he is my favorite character. At first, I disliked his character due to the whinnyness of him in the earlier seasons, but then David Schwimmer who in my opinion was the better actor of the lot, performed so exquisiitively well that Ross eventually became my favorite. Followed closely by Chandler and Monica. Rachel is my least favorite, I found Jennifer Anistons performance not as good as the others and Rachel really brings nothing extra to the group other than just being eye candy for men

David Schwimmer played the hell out of that role. Ross has always been my favorite character. A lot of the funniest and most memorable moments of the entire show centered around or involved Ross.

The way Ross’s reaction to his sandwich being eaten is totally reasonable 😭 I mean this guy literally stole someone’s lunch with a note that specifically said “Ross Geller’s lunch, please don’t eat me”😅

Ross: “Someone at work ate my sandwich.” Chandler: “Well, what did the police say?” Chandler's sarcasm kills me 😂

@@belfast-g I agree that Matthew Perry's sarcasm was very funny. But the reason David has always been my favorite is because he doesn't even have to utter a word. David can be hilarious just with his expressions and mannerisms. I do think that the casting directors did a great job picking the six main characters. They work beautifully together. These actors and the excellent writing team make this the best sitcom ever.

There's a few times I've noticed where she's trying hard to keep it together while David was delivering lines. Ross made my laugh the most too so i totally get it lol

Ross is the funniest out of all of them ! Because he has a little bit of everyone’s personality :) he’s sarcastic like chandler , has his weird spontaneous moments like pheobe , can be outspokenly funny like Monica and can be naive and dumb like Joey 😂 he’s a mixture of all characters 😝his natural ability to act out every situation brings the show so much greatness you can watch it over and over again ❤️❤️

I always thought Chandler was the funniest in the beginning but Ross was the funniest one overall, especially as the later seasons went on. Who could forget the teeth whitening, the sweaty leather pants, the spray tan gone wrong, the bagpipes, unagi, the couch- PIVOT!, and the keyboards? Plus David was the best physical comedian and also the best actor. When Ben is born, the first breakup with Rachel, when he can’t connect with Mike, when he finds out about Joey and Rachel, when Rachel leaves without saying goodbye… I can go on and on forever. He’s the absolute best and yet is the one that gets shat on the most

I totally agree, I started off thinking Chandler was the funniest as well but I think what changed was my maturity. I was 7 yrs old to 17 years old when the show was on TV. Chandler I think is the obvious in your face type of funny, where as with Ross it's more all-encompassing and comprehensive (the predicament he is in, his expressions, his comedic timing, his sarcasm, etc.) which makes him the actual funniest of them all.

Back in the 90s my favorite characters were Rachel and Chandler. I wanted to look like Rachel, and I use sarcasm a lot (I will say in real life, sarcasm is VERY subjective, many many people don't like that in others and if we knew Chandler in real life, most would probably think he's a jerk). Now after decades Joey and Phoebe are my favorites. They are both sweet and good-hearted people I would genuinely like to be around. I didn't like ross much at all back then, but now I find him hilarious

It's awful hearing of Matthew Perry's death. He created Chandler to be funny and make people laugh, but some of his scenes, like when he says, Well I guess I'll be the one who dies first, after breaking Monica's plates, hit different. I usually watch Friends around bedtime every day. It took me several days after he died to begin watching again. It’s not like he was a personal friend of mine, but I guess we all come to rely on certain television shows like comfort food, and Friends has been that for me. I reacted somewhat this way when Bob Saget died - I think we don’t understand how connected we are to certain actors and/or the characters they played until we lose them, and realize that a light in our lives has gone out.

It doesn’t matter if you despise Ross as a character, you can’t deny he’s a genius. He’s one of the best comedic actors, especially with physical comedy and his delivery of his lines.

Rosses tanning was probably my favourite and most funniest part. However these just so many bits it's almost impossible to decide on just a one. My favourite TV programme ever.

When I first saw the show,I thought Chandler is the funniest man, but later I realised it's not chandler but Ross! He took the show to an other level from S5.

The whole bag pipe scene is epic, & phoebe, squealing along while Rachel is trying to contain her laughter, and Chandler‘s face just is the icing on the cake. I just could not stop laughing. I had to watch it again and again! The show will live on forever! Each, and everyone, of these actors shines in their parts, and they never upstage each other, but they are, each, epic in their own performance, and they are all equal in their talent, and each one of them shine brightly, in their character and comedic timing. 💛U, all! 🥰🌟🎁🧨 “ of course, he lost his toe, the shoes are made of wicker,” epic shit!

Bruce Willis has a long history in comedy, before he became an action star. But as far as I know, Ross is the first character to stare him down and win. As to why Bruce Willis is on Friends, he lost a bet. Seriously.

Ross' bagpipes with Rachel trying to hold back her laughter, might be the funniest part of any episode in the series. Add to that Phoebe singing along, it is hysterical!!!

Apparently the last bagpipe scene, not only did the entire crew had to try REALLY hard to hold a straight face, they also had to deal with Lisa Kudrow's improvised high-pitch screech...I wonder how many takes it took, because even in the finished scene, you can clearly see that those guys were one tickle away from exploding into laughters themselves.

My dad's Gen X, and I was born in '99 (one of those debatable years between being a millennial and Gen Z). We started a tradition of eating ice cream and watching Friends re-runs together when I was in middle school. It really is a timeless show that bridges the gaps between generations.

Ross is funny as hell but the whole cast MADE the show. It's so hard to pick a favorite. This is the best sitcom ever made and will probably continue to be. I imagine a better sitcom will never happen.

20 years later and still makes me wheeze! What an epic show!

The writers said they’ve written the part ONLY for David Schwimmer and my GOD. Ross is an example of the most well written/casted characters in tv history

There are loads of examples of things that weren't planned, turning into a great succes, not just in tv shows where actor X declined or better, got into an accident and that caused them to look further, and then actor Y just put down the character where you couldn't think about anyone else, including actor X to have done anything like it. But, that's not 100 percent what I mean I realize, the same with The Office US and who would play Michael Scott, since that's 'just' casting then. I can better explain it with some unknown music act, putting a goof song on an album and it's THAT track that made someone scoring success. Of course, only in cases where it's actually meant as a goof and not meants as a goof to see if that one will become popularized. Last thing @OP....great to have added (IN MY OPINION), saves me some scrolling through endless: "How could you have not added....", "My top 10 would be..."

I feel like the character of Ross is underrated- and that David Schwimmer’s comedic timing is impeccable. And his facial expressions- he’s amazing 🤩
