I enjoyed Once upon a Time even all the low points. And I do agree Lana Parrilla makes a wonderful live-action version of the Queen. I also enjoy her when she with the mayor of storybook Regina and also when she believes herself to be the bartender Roni in Season 7

@@rubygracemoseley8144 to be honest I kind of like the Once Upon a Time version of Snow White Charming and the . Everything is revealed between Snow White and charming from the time their paths first crossed and they didn't even realize it up to the first Dark Curse hitting the kingdom. All that in it itself would make more than enough material for a live-action film that would be interesting to follow. No matter what they put up I'm going to consider the Once upon a Time version to be more of the definitive version of a live action character.

Lana Parilla IS the evil queen. Her portrayal in OUAT is beyond perfect, both as The Evil Queen and Regina.

Scar is not meant to be sympathetic due to how evil he is and takes pleasure in his vile deeds which makes him not tragic, even when he got his scar in a flashback in The Lion Guard.

Can't we have a fun Campy backstory movie that pretends that it's going to be sympathetic and Not only isn't but at the end even the villain says "nah, I've always been this way" I'm personally thinking Hades or Yzma could pull that one off. I can almost hear Yzma ( r.i.p. Eartha Kitt) say " What? You thought this was suppose to be a sympathetic movie? Oh, Go cry to Cruella, I've always been this way."

It’d be kinda hard to top Regina Mills’ backstory as the Evil Queen since Lana Parrilla did such a great job playing her. Even though Once Upon A Time had about a hundred plot holes, Regina was one of, if not THE character with the best arc in that show.

I can understand what you mean by the plot hole things if you look on TV trips head scratcher page they're literally folders of unanswered questions. However I enjoyed the show and all the characters in it even the high points and the low points. Much like a roller coaster I'm just going along for the ride

I think it depends on the tone they are going for. If it is light hearted and humorous, the queen from descendants. If it is more serious in tone, lana.

If Disney’s going to make a movie about The Evil Queen I would love Lana Parrilla would portray her. And a movie about Yzma would be fun too

Once Upon A Time adapted the Evil Queen in better ways than any movie ever could. Plus, no other actress out there could top Lana; not even Scarlett Johansen or Emilia Clarke

Sorry, but The Evil Queen I have to ex on. Lana Parrilla plays EQ perfectly, and I love her backstory in season 1 of Once Upon A Time. I can’t see any other way for this character. Plus I love how the creators put character growth and showed she was a tragic character trying to get her happily ever after. Which she eventually did and became a hero instead of still being called a villain. So to sum it up nay on The Evil Queen.

I would like to see Hook. How does a kid on a ship grow to hate kids, lose a hand, become captain, learn the emotional arts learning how to later manipulate Tinkerbells jealousy, etc.? Relationship with the Indian tribe there? Mommy issues? So many possibilities

I don't know if anyone remembers it but someone wrote a book on Captain Hook's backstory, at least it talked about his time at collage and when he first goes to sea. It's called Capt. Hook: The Adventures of a Notorious Youth. It's a bit graphic at least in my mind when it comes to some bullying that he gets at collage.

There was a deleted scene in the movie where one of the sailors told Prince Eric that Ursula and Triton are siblings. The writers omitted this detail from the final film for some reason. Although it would be nice to find out why Ursula was banished in the first place.

I'd love to see a Frollo live action provided they delve into his Victor Hugo original characterization and history. He's so much more complex in the source material than he was portrayed as in the movie.

I highly doubt that Frollo would deserve a Live-Action movie. Not to mention that no one could surpass the late Tony Jay as the best portrayer of Frollo.

It’s hard to cast some of these characters in live action films when the voice actors did such an epic job at playing the character that anyone else seems inferior by comparison. Who else but Eartha Kitt can play Yzma?

For Jafar I would recast him in favor of an actor like Ben Kingsley or Naveen Andrews as him for Frollo I would pick Benedict Cumberbatch and have him do his Alan Rickman impression, I would also have Benedict Cumberbatch play Scar, and either Lana Parrilla or Cate Blanchett would play the Evil Queen same thing with Ursula ( Ursula is Lana Parrilla's favorite Disney villain), and well honestly I'm not sure about Dr Facilier..

It would be awesome if at least some of these villains got their own movies, however according to many people they probably wouldn't be too great if they were origin story films...well i mean that's what they said about Maleficient and Cruella anyway.

Another thing about a Frollo movie: It could feature more elements from the original novel. It could show Frollo having originally served as an Archdeacon himself (the German play did something very similar by explaining Frollo was a priest before becoming a Judge) and feature his brother Jehan.

His brother ran away with a gypsy woman and was banished from the cathedral for it. I don't remember if the woman died or ran away, but but the brother did die and asked is brother to watch over his son (Quasimodo) seconds before passing.

If they will really do an origin movie about Yzma, I think Kronk would appear like a young boyscouts who annoys her because “he wants to help” (a bit like the boy from “UP”).

Honestly, the Hook one sounds the best!! There are many different routes that it could go and still be satisfying, but it'd just have to be funny as well as action-packed, because as much as Captain Hook is known for his sword fights and being a pirate, he also has some of the best and funniest moments with Smee and the Crocodile that Disney has ever done. I'm honestly surprised that this hasn't happened on the big screen, even outside Disney. Peter Pan and Captain Hook are both well known characters, and with the amount of Peter Pan movies out there, a Hook one shouldn't be that far off.

Red Queeeeeen. There is a book about het origin story, “Heartless”, that can be adapted to a TV show/movie.

The Evil Queen, but just with Lana Parrilla in main role. I think Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz would make an amazing Evil Queen spin off. I think that Lana played the most amazing Evil Queen in history of adaptations

Regina is the only other version of the evil queen that we need. There is no replacing Lana as Regina, she was perfect as her and her acting as being anything Disney could get for a live action.

In the book Ursula and Trident are siblings and Trident is basically the villain because when Ursula was born he left her abandoned because she was different and when he found out she was still alive and let her back into the kingdom he made her change into a mermaid and made get feel bad every change he got and when she found out he was the one who abandoned her he banished her from the kingdom. There's much more in the books but I like the story line Serena goes with.

I'm sorry, but Yzma is a no from me. Reason being, no one can do her line Eartha Kitt can

That doesn't stop directors from trying. For some examples When Richard Harris died that didn't stop WB from recasting Dumbledore with Michael Gambon Lucasfilm and later on Disney recasted Corey Burton as Count Dooku when Christopher Lee died. And how many voice actors has Unicron from Transformers had ever gotten after Orson Welles died. And that's just examples for replacing dead actors Movie directors especially Disney have no problem using inferior actors when it comes to recasting for 2 examples Chitwell Ejiofor as Scar Marwan Kenzari as Jafar

Hook, Hades,The Wicked Queen and Of course Ursula. Those are my top 4 picks.

I would love to be responsible for a prequel to explore Ursula's and Triton's back story. But contrary to the attempts at making her more sympathetic, my story would show her descent into villainy being totaly her fault. Indeed, it would made you think that Triton was lenient with her for just banishing her instead of having her executed.

Actually Scar's original name was Askari.

I gonna say Dr.Facilier he is the creepiest,horrifying and awesome villain ever in the animation movie of The Princess and the Frog (2009) and he deserves his own creepy and darkest movie live-action

If Scar get his own live-action movie we need to see how he meet Zira and the Outsiders and why he choose Kovu to be his successor.

They should stop remaking great animated classics & tackle little known stories that didn't do well & make them better. Live action remakes are so over done.

Zira from The Lion King 2 Simba’s Pride. I think it would be cool to see things in Zira’s point of view

7:17 look up a book called "Capt. Hook: The Adventures of a Notorious Youth" by James V. Hart. THAT would be perfect for a film adaptation.

Ursula was scary but yet able to be quite convincing

Scar he is the incredible,awesome and iconic Lion villain ever in the animation movies of The Lion King in all the time and he deserves his own movie to see his childhood and his story

ONCE Upon a Time did such a fantastic job of backstory, and redemption for the Evil Queen. There really wouldn’t be a good story to tell that could outdo ONCE or Lana Parrilla’s performance.

It's pretty cool that a lot of the musicals are already giving the villains some background - for example Lord Frollo in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. And also love your ideas for the movies!

`For the record, that musical Twisted is an alternative history and not from point of view from the real story of the animated film.

@@TiffiAlyane No, they won't. I'm aware of those stories and they're terrible. Serena should know better than to ruin the villains by humanize them since they're fine as they are with no tragic or sympathy and don't need backstories at all. Makes no difference or matter to me. Aurora is Stefan and Leah's daughter, not Maleficent. Serena should stop making more books of humanizing and not to get things mixed up. I'II stick to liking villains for being evil and the true stories of the films themselves like other fans do.

Snow White Queen, only with the provision that she MUST be played by the internet favourite Disneyland actress!

Also, it could be argued that the one season of “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” is in actuality a Jafar origin story

Evil Queen got four different live adaptation movies. The light hearted live action. The darker Huntsman movies that followed. And Regina from Once Upon A Time. All of them depicting the character slightly different but all of the interesting if not well done. So she probably needs an adaptation the least.

@@TiffiAlyane get them writers at hollywood on them books so we can get more well done adaptations of the others. i'm always open to interpretations of classic characters. i'd just rather see the other villains first before Evil Queen rolls back around.

This is why I LOVE once upon a time bc they gave back stories to most of these villains.... but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see a movie of some of them but OUAT did a really good job for the evil Queen and Jafar (OUAT) wonderland

Give Hans his day in "Court" I mean seriously he was always in the back of lines to all his brothers. Why was Hans treated like that? I want to know more about Hans and Frozen is popular. Scar and that other Lionness would have an interesting back story as well.

There is a book called “A Frozen Heart” that explain a bit his life in the souther isles and his relationship with his family. The book his a retelling of the movie in Anna and Hans perspectives. I think it’s only in English but you can find it online. Anyway, I’d love to see a movie about Hans and his family too. (For what I read in the book, his father and many of his brothers seems horrible people, especially his father.)

The only reason I can allow the Evil Queen to be #2 is because we already had the perfect Evil Queen in Regina.

What about the canon version from descendants

If you watch once a upon a time you can see how the Evil queen came to be the evil queen. Disney should make all these villains movie but they don’t have to live action they can be cartoon. The only few that should be live action should be, Hades, Jafar , Ursula .

Just watch once upon a time and you'll be happy!

I know they mentioned Jafar needing to have a live action movie, but all anyone has to do is watch OUAT spinoff Once Upon A Time in Wonderland to see Jafar's backstory. It was all laid out. Then again most of these characters got their backstories explained in Once Upon A Time series, so making live action films would be redundant.

Scar definitely should definitely get his own movie.

1] The darkness of Frollo's story would make it a good candidate for being turned into a mini-series on a network like HBO, STARZ, or Showtime. Given the time period, the series could have a bit of a "Game of Thrones" feel. 2] Any story about Jafar would probably have to take one thing from the animated TV series: his twin sister. 3] I can picture Idris Elba, playing a live-action Facillier. And 4] Hades and Ursula...oh, hell yes. Just that. (typed 6/6/2021)

If they did do that with Frollo then I have a "twist" to his backstory and why he doesn't like the Church.... It's 'cuz the head priest or whomever is in charge or runs the place abused him in all forms. That would explain why he hates them and why he doesn't understand or care that what he does is wrong. I mean Esmeralda was supposed a teen or young teen and he hit on her faster than a virgin seeing a stripper or hooker for the first time. And why he hates Gypsies is 'cuz his abuser made them do things to him and/or made him do things to them and then made him watch as the were killed in some way. Or he fell in love with one of the Gypsies and his abuser made him think (and watch) that she betrayed him with either one guy or many others, not knowing that she was really raped, kind of like the GOT's idea on that one. Yeah, my ideas are dark but really when watching the movie, it kind of writes itself.... I mean he might have hoped that what happened to him happens to the baby he gave away or worse, so that's why he did that one, but it didn't and that just pissed him off more. As for everything else.... Well, a VERY bad childhood trauma at the hands of those he trusted?

I would watch the Enchantress from Beauty And The Beast, the Evil Queen from Snow White, Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Mother Gothel from Tangled, Queen Of Hearts from Alice In Wonderland and Frollo from The Hunchback Of Notre Dame get their own films just to name a few!

358: I just saw 2014’s & 2019’s Maleficent and 2021’s Cruella. So, I’m liking where this is going.

I’d add Shan Yu (because I want to know his history, his motivations, and why he’s so feared) and Oogie Boogie (live action might be difficult, but I want to know more about his bad blood with Jack Skelington).

Hell yes i'd watch a live action film about Shan Yu. The real Shan Yu not that shitty replacement named Bori Khan from the 2020 Mulan. Ever seen Sergei Bodrov's Mongol movie? Yeah Shan Yu needs that kind of movie.
