@@NumeroLetter luckily, even the deepest parts of splash mountain aren't supposed to be more than 6ft deep, and jungle cruise comes in at 3-5 ft and others like pirates and small world also around 3ft if I'm remembering right (they color the water, especially on jungle cruise, to make it look murky and deep) I have some balance issues so I'd be worried about stepping over the water too! ... but at least it's not super deep (not like the now defunct Jaws ride at Universal that was reportedly 10ft deep 😵‍💫 )

It's so so rad to see rides and get to appreciated the rides and their complexities even more! I grew up close to Disneyland and was always shocked by adults getting so upset with malfunctions/in-show exits-- like relax appreciate the literal art all around you

I respectfully disagree with that. Disneyland and Disney World are very expensive to get into as is right now and the lines are getting very long for rides. When people are paying a large amount of money to get in and wait along time to get on the ride, a lot of them would prefer the highest quality experience possible. And that high quality experience comes from being immersed into the ride itself. Lights turning on, or animatronics malfunctioning or whatever takes away from said immersion. It's kind of a novelty seeing ride breakdowns in KZread videos, but would I want to see that in person? Not really. I don't think I'd like that very much. Also, you need to consider that some people may be on the ride for the first time in their lives when it malfunctions. I doubt those people would consider that art if they aren't familiar with it in the same way a fan would. For example, with my first experience in Splash Mountain at Disney World, the sound was completely turned off in the first half of the indoor section. I had no idea what was going and felt confused so I couldn't appreciate the experience until years later when I rode it again as well as watched some KZread videos filmed on the ride. Of course it's not always possible for a ride to remain in perfect shape 24/7, but I completely understand why someone would get upset at a ride malfunction.

Space Mountain had the lights turn on and had us climb down a ladder to get to the floor then walk through to the emergency doors on the ground level. Haunted Mansion had us walked back through the first half of the attraction completely alongside the doombuggies that had yet to be evacuated. We were the first room sent through the front half as everyone from the ballroom and later exited through the second half of the ride. There were no exits until you returned to the loading room.

I've been visiting Disney theme parks since 1972 and I've lost track of the number of times I've experienced a ride breakdown while on the ride. I've also witnessed other people getting stuck on rides and requiring rescue. Disney rides are usually very reliable--but over a half of a century and several hundred days in Anaheim, Orlando, Tokyo and Paris (missed the China parks) memory isn't perfect. Most of the time, the breakdown is just momentary, and no evacuation is required. My last two park visits were in December 2021 and July 2010, and I don't recall being on a ride while it was malfunctioning during either trip.

We experienced a temporary breakdown in Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in Disneyland Paris in December 2019. Our vehicle came to a stop at the kitchen scene and we spent about five minutes watching a rat try to pop the cork on a bottle of champagne! The ride got moving again without too much of a delay - it seemed as though they looped a portion of the ride footage to hide the fact that we were stationary for longer than normal. Not seamless, but it was a pretty good B mode! We also had delays every time we went on Phantom Manor. Sadly no in-show exit, however, the announcement was voiced by the late and legendary Vincent Price!

I was next in line when there was a breakdown on indiana jones on my most recent trip. it's safe to say that being in line knowing the work lights were on just inside was the most agonizing experience of my life. however, once we got in, we got to see what happens when the tunnel mechanism is broken on the ride (spoiler alert: it's not much, they just turn off the spotlight on the boulder and I think they might have changed indy's dialougue- it's hard to say because I hadn't been on the ride in years). the kicker of the whole thing is my friend saw the work lights on in peter pan's flight and nearly did an in-show exit just DAYS before and had very little appreciation for it. maybe next time...

We went to Disneyland in August and broke down on the Indiana Jones ride. We stopped right after the open scene with the snake and stuff and were there for five minutes before the lights turned on. Once the lights turned on, we started going again and stopped at the spear scene. We waited for thirty minutes for someone to get to us while our seatbelts were getting tighter and tighter. After they told us to wait, we waited another 10 minutes to get off of the car. I tried to film to send it to you guys but they were yelling at us to put our phones away and to stay in a single file line even if we stepped a foot out of line. We just went again to Disneyland a few weeks ago and the ride malfunctioned but didn’t break down. All in all we still have fun at Disneyland but that’s my story of Indiana Jones.

I went on Test Track at Epcot a couple of weeks ago and just as we were about to blast off, the ride stopped and the cast members turned on the lights and turned off the audio. Unfortunately, I didn’t get off the ride and they fixed it. We even had a reservation at Space 220 and we were so worried we were late for lunch, but thankfully we made it.

One time, when I was about 8 and my sister was about 8 months old, we went to Disneyland for the first time. We had so much fun, and when we went on Haunted Mansion: Nightmare Before Christmas, we were excited. We got in and everything seemed, but then, the ride stopped in the hallway scene, where there's a bone in front of the hallway and Zero is at the other end and barking. My sister had thrown up, making the ride stop. It took forever to get the ride going again, and I was stuck in front of the hallway forever, to the point where I was driven mad by Zero and that scene. But we got moving again, and how was well, except for my sick sister and my sanity.

I was on the Disneyland carousel of progress in the 1960s when it got stuck. We had to sit through several of the same 'episodes'. When it finally resumed, the next scene ended with the guy (John?) saying something like, "Let's all sing the song together. You ought to know it by now." The entire room burst into laughter.

I once broke down on Mr Toad in Disneyland. It was in a room with a fountain. While I was sitting there I kept on hearing a voice that sounded like Winnie the Pooh saying "I'm not sure where I am either". I've been told that audio has nothing to do with the scene and that it was actually the Cheshire Cat from the Alice ride that runs above Mr. Toad.

I had a similar experience to the situation at 13:30 on Splash Mountain. All of the animatronics were frozen, none of the music was playing, and the work lights were on. We rode through the whole ride and for some reason Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da was still playing at the end even though none of the animatronics were moving. Plus, it was just the instrumental with no vocals. When we got off they said the ride was in a "state of emergency" or something like that and we had to leave quickly. I'll never forget that experience...

Something happened with our group's truck as we were moving on to another section of the Safari, so we had to physically move on to another truck via a small bridge in-between them with a new driver.

It’s actually pretty common to watch the same scene at least once due to guests leaving mid- show (which is not allowed) causing cast members to have to run all the way around the building to make sure it is clear and safe to move and don’t always make it back in time. That is also why some time you might have a rotation that starts a few seconds late
