Schumacher greatest of all time? Come on. A guy who never had a decent teammate. Once he had, a 40-year old Nelson Piquet for 6 races at Benetton, who actually outscored him in the 6 races. Prost beat five world champion teammates (Prost outscored Senna both 88 and 89, K.Rosberg, Hill, Lauda and completely demolished Mansell on Ferrari 1990). Schumacher always had just puppets and lackeys as teammates. And during his whole reign he only had to face two top talents (Hakkinen, Alonso) in other teams. He was a great driver but not at Senna/Prost level who had 10x harder competition.

@@rientsdijkstra4266 Nothing to do with like/dislike. I have Schumi at 3rd best driver of 90-2010. I just don't consider him at the same level with Senna and Prost who had to face world champion teammates and much harder competition during their reign.

@@rientsdijkstra4266 What is this "large majority"? His huge fanbase? It's like F1 experts who saw the Senna movie and think he is the only great driver. Schumacher had only one decent teammate. A 40-year old Nelson Piquet for 6 races at Benetton. Piquet ironically outscored him in those 6 races. Just be objective and remove the fanboy glasses.

@tor2112 Bro I get a bit tired of the levels of prejudice that you are stacking on top of each other here. So many unproven statements... First of all: I am no fan of Schumacher and never have been a fan of Schumacher. Actually I never liked him and I always have found the man obnoxious... And I certainly have never approved of the dirty tricks he sometimes played on other drivers. However, I don't let my dislike for the man inhibit my judgement, and he simply was the fastest and most skilled racing car driver of his time, second only (if so) to Ayrton Senna before him. O and by the way: I am 63 and I have been watching F1 since the late '70's. So I simply can remember how he and Senna destroyed the fields. For that I don't need unproven theories about the qualities of his teammates.

I wish to have back these few minutes of my life..

Wait Prost for Suzuka? To be fair the FIA made the whole thing a lot bigger then it was, Senna had a push start and it was in the rules back then that having one is a guaranteed disqualification. I feel like there should have been other drivers on this liked like Ide.

Checques Villeneuve raced under a bogus and then dropped appeal at Suzuka, where he tried to take Schumacher out twice, once at the start, and once as he emerged from the pits. Luckiest POS to have raced in F1 to that point. Schumacher was mad about Spa 1998 because David Coulthard backed off a lap to lie in wait for him and take him out. That's what actual dirt looks like.
