I watched a good chunk of Black Lagoon and you describing Revy like that makes me doubt the entire rest of this list (which I haven’t watched) And I definitely second the comment saying William James Moriarty deserves a spot on this list, the man is marvellous and definitely worthy of recognition as a cold-blooded killed

In my opinion, 91 Days is the best thing I've seen.... ever. It was brilliantly written, had an excellent dub, and didn't pull any punches. I loved how it wasn't purely focused on the action. In fact, it was actually extremely realistic, and that was the thing that made Lagusa such a terrifying character. He was just so... human. I never thought a mafia story would make me cry, but there were several scenes where I was in tears. Especially that ending.

Angelo's friend sacrificing himself for Nothing in the long term to a certain degree. Angelo ended up not feeling fulfilled at all. His friend is such an underrated character as well tbh.

The screams while they are getting ripped apart made me stop watching horror animes.. The mole rat vs psychic anime or anything like Higurashi also disturbed the fuck out of me too

Angel of Death, Terror in Resonance and 91 Days are actually so good though, from start to finish. I'd recc those three for sure. Good stories and good characters and the art styles are good too.

Monster is my favorite anime of all time! The mystery is so good and compelling, I watch it at least once a year! There are so many parts to it I still havent connected all the dots! The characters and plot are amazing. The best scenes for me were when nina reads the storybook talking about Johann and when she takes off her wig!! 😱 For anyone wanting a quick plot detail before watching it- a japanese surgeon in Germany chooses to save the life of a young boy who came in first, rather than an important rich man with money. His career and life start to derail because of his choice. Years later the boy he saved grows up to be a serial killer, kills people at the hospital, and frames the doctor who saved his life. The doctor has to go into hiding but gains skills to hunt down the serial killer across Europe to try to kill him before he's used in a massacre level plot. As a murder mystery/ thriller buff, I highly recommend it!

Glad you put Terror in Resonance on this list because I hadn't heard of it before despite it not fitting in with what you were going for in the video. They are so against killing that they go way out of their way not to kill anyone. Granted they are not killing with a purpose but still death count for them is 0. Though they do injure a lot of people.

An honorable mention: "Higurashi: when they cry" Probably the most brutal anime I've ever watched. You'll have to watch it yourself. Looks innocent at first, but gets very very brutal fast. It won't disappoint. I promise.

I just started this anime and WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?! Time travel! Spirits?! Murders?! Psychopaths?! Lolis?! Harem?! TWINS? I have no clue but I guess I’m in for a ride

91 days surely has a good plot and it is also an underrated anime, i recommend it.

Well Zack from Angels of death wasn't technically an orphan. He was sold by his mother to an illegal Orphanage, because she found him disgusting after her lover burned Zacks skin. But it's never told if his Mother still lives or who his Dad is. Not in the Game, not in the Manga and not in the anime. So he could be, but we don't know.

Grisaia no Kajitsu: Not sure if this should be included here. Yuji is completely bad-to-the bone, but he's not a mindless killer when we meet him, though he was indeed an assassin, first as a traumatized, brainwashed, abused child and later for the government. But he left all that behind, just wanting a "normal school life." He's not a random killer.

Exactly. Tanya was a pacifist in her first life. Or at least a sociopath who understood killing is wrong. Now in her new life she understands killing is necessary but she always follows the laws of war. The only ones who are killed by her are those that attacked or crossed her first.

Can she win in the long run, not likely, and hints are she is overwhelmed and killed based on that conversation in the future in the movie. But despite everything she proved she could take whatever was thrown at her and keep surviving. Even if she horrified any whom actually tried to understand her based on her actions. Like the one aide to the two generals.

I mean she can kill with no remorse because its her duty, even if she doesn't enjoy it thats still into the "cold blooded" category for me. In a way i see it more like she hates danger and therefore kill or be killed situations, not the act of killing itself from what they show in the manga/anime/novel(i recommend the manga at least to anyone that watched the anime cause its great).

Wow it's one of those rare tops which was made by ppl with brains. Such a good top man... I totally agree with it. But I think it needs a place for Death Note. Because Light's transformation was so sick omg it's classics everyone should know)

In Inuyashiki, the MC is The old guy, hench the name of the serie, just like in Naruto, where Naruto is the MC, while Sasuke is the '"secondary main". The blood-lust immortal guy robot killer, is the "secondary main" in Inuyashiki, or in other words, the deuteragonist.

91 days is like so satisfying and it feels like a movie with just 12 eps but so much happening it is a master piece my fav anime

Completely disagree with Black Lagoon. Revy is a gun for hire, not a psycho,, she enjoys her fights though, but not as a maniac. She even cares for Rock the further the series go. It's one of my favourite series so had to say something. Could write a whole explanation but it's best people watch it for themselves. Very enjoyable anime.

To be fair, it's a countdown of cold-blooded killers. Remy is definitely a cold blooded killer. She's not a psychopath, but mercy and self-doubt are not in her repertoire.

The first Hellsing is a bit off the manga - Millenium isn't shown in complete force (probably planned for, but didn't finish), instead it has a vampire lord in bound to some master (not shown, but Millenium implied). The second is Hellsing ultimate that follows the manga story (with some strange scenes as well - like Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from dune is the spirit inside Seras' weapon, ...). The abdridged is Team Four Star's abridged and redubbed version of Hellsing ultimate.

I thought that Redo Of Healer would be in the list due to the MC character Badass for revenge!!!

Redo of healer would be a good addition to this list .

I was never able to watch the entire show, just small glimpses on KZread. But I have read the manga and it is the best one I have ever read. I absolutely love it. It shows a little more than the anime I believe. To give an example the anime only shows Zack's and Rachel's past. While the manga shows Eddie's, Cathy's and Danny's.

The Future Diary should be on this. That one chick was demented

That genre i enjoy most in anime. I just watched recently anime called talentless nana this also in same genre, but sadly that genre seems be niche and there not lot this kind animes. i searched lot.

If remember correctly the terror in resonance guys weren’t cold blooded killers. I’m pretty sure just wanted the world to know what the gov was doing to them. I’m pretty sure they went out of their way to have innocent people evacuate before destroying something. It’s been a few years since I watched it but I wouldn’t put them in the same category ass the guy from angels of death

honorable mention goes to Redo of Healer. besides all the ecchi stuff the way he off'ed Blade was just soo cold. And the laugh to top it off after all was done was just so... cruel.

Oh... Monster on the first list. No shit. I've been following this story from the manga and really impressed with how the story developed.

I know this is an old video, but pretty much all the main cast of Jormungand fit the bill of cold blooded killers save for like. One character. Your MC is a child soldier, your female lead is an arms dealer, and almost everyone else is either ex spec-ops or intelligence agent. Shit's treated lightly in series, but Koko's team of around a dozen or so people is a sheer force of pure carnage

Definetely Like just by see Code Geass in the list, one of the more gorgeous animes I ever see
