In computer science engineering reputation of the college doesn't matter at all. Do you think that software engineering means reading textbooks, writing exams and solving MCQs that these JEE people do?

Let me tell you a fact. In engineering colleges you only gain knowledge. You don't develop any industry needed skills. Period. In today's world you can gain the same knowledge by using a search engine. Skills relevant in computer science engineering can be developed only and only through self practicing computer programming for 5-7 years. Those who think that studying college syllabus and writing exams is engineering get recruited by so called " service based companies" where no engineering happens and during interviews they get childish and dumb questions like " where do you see yourself in five years"

There are many colleges in India good for B.tech in Computer Science. But my preference would be Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET). Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology was ranked 601-800 in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings of 2020. They have amazing faculty, infrastructure, and good placement records.

Usually such packages are offered by some top tech companies to engineering graduates in India from top engineering colleges only for internship where they temporarily see how the candidate performs and most of these candidates are then fired because it's impossible to become so skilled in software engineering in 4 years such that those companies can afford to pay him 1cr. That's why you never hear about these candidates who get such packages after they get them.

I think iiit hyderabad should be at number 1

In software engineering there is no correlation between the skill of a software engineer and the college he graduated. No real engineer takes any IIT seriously. College doesn't matter in software engineering
