Why are the California Raisins on the list if you said you wouldn't accept mascots when they were created before the cereal, and simply used to market it? They were created to be mascots of a food product and were reused for the cereal so they should have been excluded.

They forgot Boo-Berry, which is the blueberry version of Count Chocula & Franken-Berry. It's been years since I last ate breakfast cereals, but the last time I checked Count Chocula had been the year-round cereal with Franken & Boo only coming out during Halloween. I think they meant cartoon characters that were used to promote the cereal. At least with the California Raisins they were ultimately designed as a breakfast foods marketing ploy.

In the UK frosted flakes are called Frosties and Tony the tigers catchphrase is "Frosties they're grrrreat"

About 90% of these characters have either never made it to the UK or were banned in the late 80s & 90s because the more sugary cereals were deemed dangerous to children's health - you can still get Lucky Charms though in specialist import sweet stores. Frosties & Snap-Crackle & Pop are the exceptions. :P

Even though the cervical is sweet enough to make your mouth numb, the cinnamon toast crunch ads made you want to buy them.

Capt. Crunch was a treat once a month for me/siblings growing up, That box would last 2 days tops. The trick was filling the bowl w/cereal&milk and then eat the cereal off the top then replace w/more cereal. By the 3rd bowl (...I know), the milk turned syrupy sweet and would be drunk last. Of course, there would be strings of flesh hanging from my palate like stalactites for the next couple days. Ahhh, the memories... ;^)

Paul Frees, best remembered for being the voice of Prof. Ludwig Von Drake from Disney was one of the voices of Toucan Sam and later was voiced by Maurice LaMarche, who was also the voice of Brain from *Pinky and the Brain* , Big Bob Pataki from *Hey Arnold!* among other things.

In Australia, Rice Krispies are called Rice Bubbles and the mascots' names are switched with each other.
